Judy Collins is still performing - just got back from her live concert in Olympia, WA - at 85!!! She actually sounds great and mixes in lots of cool stories about her experiences and name drops a lot of 60's icons. What Happened to all these angels you ask? Maybe they're still with us! (And yes, we also have great singers today, just look around).

My God! I'm 50 years old, and I've heard this song my whole life. It's always been just a pleasant little tune to me. Today I'm really contemplating the lyrics for the first time, and I can't keep it together. Joni Mitchell is a poetic genius!
I’m 54 and never ever ever knew these lyrics. Yes I knew the song but never listened nor understood the lyrics until I saw it sung and signed in the movie CODA. I am mesmerized by the talent of JM , the rendition here of JC and the exquisite moving voice of Emilia Jones. In coda
Just recently had the great privilege of standing at the front and watching this beautiful lady perform at the Cambridge folk festival in England , she told stories of her friendships with Leonard Cohn and Joni Mitchell and sang a wonderful set of songs ❤😊

Just a lovely, lovely song. This is one of those songs that will live on for hundreds of years. People will be listening to this the way we listen to Mozart or Chopin.
It'd be cool to see a star fleet Jr officer/ crewman play this song on one of the current shows just to assure us that good music still exists in the far fu t ure.

@@northernassassin6056 I agree. I prefer Judy Collins' version recorded. The song is very nice, the content of it and the melody. So Joni Mitchell is great. But I like Judy's version recorded, but not this.
I first saw and heard Judy around 1963 when I was 14 years-old. She and Tom Paxton I think it was, were making their rounds on Cape Cod, (and Massachusetts) at that time. They put on a nice little show at the old National Guard Armory, (which is now a court house) on Jones Road in Falmouth, Ma. Judy was absolutely fabulous that night! I can still see her on that little stage wearing a white dress and high heels. She had the most beautiful, big blue eyes I have ever witnessed. I've been a huge fan of hers all these years and my favorite song sung by her is, "Both Sides Now".
me too. So sad. I have loved her music and voice since I first heard her sing when I was around 14. Where did I hear her? At my Grandparents house! Someone gave them a record of hers! Here I am 65 and still love her. Every now and then I think "I haven't heard Judy sing in awhile." At one time, I had every one of her albums. She was a truly is amazing. Sons of is one of the better songs. Touches my heart every time.

Me too, as a kid I loved this song, and wished I could sing like her!! Such a beautiful song, did not know til later it was the great Joni Mitchell.
There is no voice that can close to Judy's. Current singers all sound alike. But nobody has the style and grace of Judy Collins. God Bless her.
Judy and karen carpenter have voices like an angel
Karen Carpenter would give Judy a run for her money
