    You might not wanna rev the engine like that without warming it up and before breaking it in. This will increase wear a lot

    • @SamStonerRacing
      @SamStonerRacing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The kart / engine was pretty new to us but was really second hand - so the engine had already been run in but from what others are saying, we still shouldn't rev like so.

      These engines are built for power- not durability. Their warning up system is a lot different since it is derived from an aprilia 2 stroke 125. Made single speed, with a centrifugal clutch and an extremely good powerband which you will never ever see in a motorbike engine. The fuel is already packed with 2 stroke oil, the oil leaks through a tiny opening in the piston ring (only one piston ring) through to the 2 holes to the bearings, crank and combustion chamber- which, by then, is already heated from the combustion cycle. It is only imminent to “blow up” or sieze in the first couple of milliseconds. But it doesn’t due to the wiring looms cut off valves which it recognises. It then desintegrates and is burned in the combustion chamber, allowing for a better warm up system than your own car. (I am a 15 year old who built multiple rotax max engines at 14)

      That's how you warm up this engine, you have to rev it out

    • @SamStonerRacing
      @SamStonerRacing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Guess we all have our own way of interpreting how to warm the engine up, we kind of start of slow now and leave it to warm gradually before pushing the revs up.

      Hi Josh, we use OTK MXC/MXJ with the dry tyre and AXP rims with the Wets.
      Your profile says you live in Florida/Orlando - Pretty sure there's an OTK factory in Orlando and if that is the case, then MXC's will probably be the rim of choice there!

      Yes. How else is a 14 year old meant to buy a whole package worth over £4,500? Looking at your page, im guessing you couldn’t even afford to buy one considering you don’t care about what you “own”. Driving a motorbike straight into a massive puddle and face planting flooding your engine and your gear, putting your helmet at risk of writing it off and cracking. If you bought it yourself, you would’ve known what to do and how to take care of yourself. Since I could hear your mum laughing in the background, you must’ve done it because you’re the “family comedian”.
