Thank you so much man, it really means the world to me when I can touch peoples heart with the music I try to play. As you see I dont pretend to copy Tommy and nobody else, but trying my best to catch the right positions and codes and first of all the feeling.

@@MoneyManBLUES I don’t think I’ve ever heard this song before. If I have it certainly didn’t resonate until I heard your take on it. You got me scurrying through TH-cam to find other versions of it and, yeah, there are other good ones but none of them seem to be as “hot wired” as yours. I’ve never heard Tommy Johnson or seen him but I get a strong impression that he’d approve of how you play his tune.

He was one of the most important delta bluesman! He was the first guy to spread that myth about the Crossroad. I recomend you to listen all his recordings and a little research about him and his biograpy. He was an influence to Hank Williams singing for example!!

@@MoneyManBLUES hello there. Was it Robert Johnson who was the actual guy that did the selling of his soul? There’s a man called Reginald D Hunter - an American comedian who is very popular here in the U.K. - who did a travelogue programme driving through the southern states of America. He visited the Tallahachi Bridge made famous by the Bobbi Gentry song. He also visited the crossroads where the encounter with the Devil took place. Neither location was anything other than ordinary. Just shows the power of music. Ordinary made iconic through myth and folklore. 👍

I grew up listening to music like this, and you not only covered it superbly, but also captured the feeling, which many “perfect covers” fail to do. Very well done

Guitar playing is absolutely great… but the singing is just… just heavenly beautiful. It is, in my opinion, the essential. You are a truly blessed and talented. Your voice and singing technique deserve a recognition and accolades by a wider blues and roots audience.🙏🏽👍🏽🇦🇺
