    Tamarind Green chilli pickle.... today I'm sharing my mother's recipe today. Puli milagai is a great condiment with South Indian dishes.Spicy, sour and sweet this will definitely be a fav.
    *Last a week under room temperature
    *keep in the fridge for longer lasting

    Tamarind Green chili pickle / Chili hijau asam jawa
    INGREDIENTS
    -------------------------
    300g Green chili ( with stem)
    *Wash with salt, pat dry and slit at bottom or center part
    OTHER INGREDIENTS
    ------------------------------------
    1/2 cup gingelly oil or vegetable oil
    2 tsp mustard seeds *
    2 tsp fenugreek seeds *
    1/2 tsp asafoetida *
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    2 lime size tamarind + with water 1 1/4 cup( mix and extract the pulps) set a side
    1 tbsp vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
    1/4 cup brown sugar / palm sugar
    METHOD
    ------------------
    *In a pan add oil, Follow by marked * and green chilli, saute until 50 % cooked
    *Add in turmeric powder, tamarind, salt and brown sugar
    Saute and let it boil, until the chili soft thick consistent.
    *Once the chillies well coated, dish out and let it completely cool down and store in a glass bottle or mud jar
    NOTE...
    *Last a week under room temperature
    *keep in the fridge for longer lasting
