Hai Bhatt Sir. I often make this in the name of Puli Milagai Thokku. Thirunelveli side we make this with green chilly and tamarind pulp with Nalla yennai. We used to eat with hot boiled rice with nalla yennai. With Curd rice, chapathi, poori roll with this. Dosai, idly, rice upma, more kali, wow what a taste! Still mouth watering. Thanks ji I'll try this too.
my mom made this when I first travelled to Germany 13 yrs back and put it in air tight packing. Until my first homecoming for almost 1.5 years this was my resort when I missed home. This is the best especially in snowy days and dark evenings with hot rice or curd rice. of course regular these days
My friend’s grandmother (Gujarati) once made a thokku with grapes and capsicum. I never thought a fruit would be that tasty in a thokku, it didn’t taste sweet at all but an unexplainable flavor. It would be great if you make something like that.
