I think a split format field/course would be best. Give it a few open field throws so we can see how the disc flies, but then also play a few holes to show how you would apply its flight on the course. I realize that's a lot more effort on your part though. Maybe you could place yourself in different spots on the golf course that mimic course play?
yep i absolutely treasure the mindbender. And just how that tacky metal flake c-line suits it ... *chefs kiss*. It's such a delight to throw (wish i had an excuse to more)
since you asked, I like how Cheating Lefty does his reviews. drone footage from above is a nice luxury, to better visualize if it has early, gradual or late turn, how much it fades and how quick (only because you asked). playing a round is fine, but I don't find that as helpful as just hyzer, flat, anny release and showing the lines. if you want, do both, but the lines are definiely more helpful. there will always be people complaining and you can't please everyone. so don't worry about it. btw, I do like comparative reviews, like the Passion vs Cicada, and it was fun watching you play with Ezra - that was really cool, and I understand why people might be asking for that, but I think field throw with tracer line, on different releases, is indispensable.
The MindBender is un-freaking-believable. My fave neutral approach disc by far. Nice to know that the horizon is available since the Mindbender was a Simon disc
This is exactly the flight I've noticed with my stock c-line MD1. Kinda touchy since it really will do what you ask of it, but the reward is an incredibly glide do it all mid
Open course is best to see the flight characteristics of a disc, imho. I also like it when there's a line drawn on the disc to show its release angle. Thanks for the review!
For fairly neutral discs, open field. For more flippy or beefy, it's best to show how it flies in a shaping situation on the course. I've always assumed the MD1 is basically a Mako3. They certainly look the same to me. But love the look of this MD1. Beautiful.
I like the open field for disc reviews personally. I think seeing the different releases, power used etc in the open field gives you a better picture of what the disc can. That's just me though.
I'm actually fine with just open field, as long as you're throwing flat and angled. It makes most sense to me and its the most obvious way to show the discs flight characteristics in a controlled environment. It's important to remember too that since we're always seeing the same few golf fairways, that can make it easier to recall and compare details of other reviews, or guess-timate different distances. I'd appreciate some more range finding to give some numbers, otherwise I don't really see a need to change this format much. That being said, of course I'd love to see a variety of content and demonstrations or game play. The Ezra video was sick too reccently, so keep doing what you're doing and I'm gonna keep watching!
Also one of the most exciting drops for me, but unfortunately I live in Canada where the distributor is apparently kind of trash and none of the stores have gotten their discs yet.. (s-line fd3/fd1) have still yet to arrive. So I am hoping they will have stock on the discmania eu site in the future. I cant justify $40 shipping from the US for a $30 disc. Wheres the Canadian Love Eh? My experience with the S-line DD1 vs Horizon was much the same as yours

I absolutely love my Mindbender, wish I bought more of them when they came out. Hyzer flips in the woods, turn overs, super easy.
Brother. I have found you.

As some who mains a Mind Bender with zero backups because poor, I'm jacked about this release.

Keep it on the open field/golf course. Your videos are great!

My favorite ace I've had is a tight wooded hole with a mind bender. Anyone in the woods should bag a md1 or something like it imo

yes, please do more course disc reviews. I enjoy your content.
I'd like to see it up against a Mako3. Maybe 9 holes 1v1.
Open field is superior absolutely
Green and black... ok on a wall, in the woods its a gonner xD
Open golf course is beautiful and allows us to see the full flight
Keep doing what your doing. It's good content
Open fields
I prefer you throw in the woods. All the discs work in a field
open field!
Open fields, but I'm not interested in discs from other manufacturers than Prodigy. If you can get their discs, I'm definently interested to watch.
