Having been to 19 Asian countries, from your list I was visited Great Wall of China, many of Thailand beaches (Koh Samui, Phuket, Koh Lipe), Palawan, Taj Mahal, Thailand Templesin Bangkok, Marina Bay Sands, Petronas Towers, Bali (the rice terrace), Victoria Peak in Hong Kong, Bamboo Forest in Kyoto, and Burj Khalifa but still want to see Halong Bay

I think foreigners only know tak Mahal and its a shame for india because india has world unique places , all states have new culture and new geography , there are 42 UNESCO sotes in india , i think underrated is good for india because popularity just destroy the heritage
