As a traveling physician, I lived in campgrounds for 8 years. It seemed that each one of us was a gossip. You described us all perfectly. The long term campers spying on the brief visitors was a group sport. Me being a psychiatrist, had to stir the pot a bit. You brought all that back, and it was wonderful fun ! ! Thank You Mark ! ! !

I'm not certain which gave me more enjoyment listening to this story. Was it the perfect assessment of a handful of my "busy body " officemates or the memory of a friend who was quite puzzled at the loss of her one piece bathing suit? After showing up at her newly acquainted boyfriend's apartment, and with no response to her knocking, she peeked into his window. Alas "The Case of The Missing One Piece Ladies Bathing Suit" was solved. At first glance she surmised her new boyfriend had swiped her suit to give to the redhead standing in front of a full length mirror admiring how well the suit looked on "her." As told by my friend "After the shock wore off I was a bit upset . That suit looked better on him than it did me."

As a young woman I learned hair/make up and how to disguise figure flaws (not that I had any, you know) from my gay roommate's friends who were dedicated cross dressers. (I don't know the correct form of address these days but then it was "drag queen"). I apologize. Those girls were scientific designers! The time, money and labor that went into each journey outside staggered my young mind. Looking back it still does. But i can do my makeup correctly. I do what they taught me then take half of it off...et voilà, perfect! We all, about 7 or 8 of us, went out on the town on Halloween one year. They were beautiful. I was taken for a man the whole evening. Probably because I'm tall and was wearing my customary lifetime uniform of jeans, a tee-shirt, cowboy boots and a killer hat. We had a ball laughing at how many times I asked a guy if he were sure about to whom he was talking. Thanks for a smike and a rememberance of good times before the world got so sensitive and precious. Rock on!❤
