i can agree with some of the people in the comments, owning a vinyl with a crucifix covered V1 called 'ULTRAKILL: INFINITE HYPERDEATH' would be dope to own.
“Why did mom name my sister Rose” “Because she loves roses” “I see, thanks for telling me that Dad” “No problem Ultrakill: Infinite Hyperdeath(Act 1 soundtrack)”
I love how destruction of senses has just barely enough rythm and structure to be more than just incoherent noise, just by a bit. Kinda souds like a metal robot dashing and sliding through Stone Corridors in hell, while bathing in blood and punching projectiles. Oh wait thats the game
@Helva ah yes when i play Ultrakill i put sfx and music to 100,same goes to my laptop and headphones. I want my ears to be blown out like hole in the surface of Mars.
I love the name "A Thousand Greetings" because it really does feel like you're being welcomed, although, when contrasted with the hell that happened before, it seems far *too* welcoming.

Gabriel was my first wall in ultrakill, I couldn't figure out his attacks and honestly I loved it, it felt like doom eternal but even more demanding of the players abilities, and understanding of the game. UltraKill is a game that I haven't played much but I have already started to play over and over again, I think that when this game is done, everyone will be singing it's praises like it was the return of Christ himself. So thank you for this amazing game that has already impressed me in ways no other game has before. edit: I p-ranked both Gabriel fights, so yay!
For some reason V2 took me 22 tries but Gabriel only took me 2. Weird how boss fights are in and of themselves a completely subjective medium where player to player everyone has different experiences
@@kunini defo depends on your playstyle i died to minos so many fucking times but i kicked gabriels and V2s ass on the first try *probably because i dont use anything but my shotgun*
For me, every boss took me plenty of tries because I kinda suck at this game. V2 was the hardest for me, though. Gabriel isn't that hard once you figure out that he doesn't attack while talking. I actually read his enemy page before fighting him and found this out. I was only checking it out to see his deisng up-close, though.
This was one hell of an experience, specially seeing it all live with everyone, but i really just want to say thank you Hakita for making something truly amazing and special with this game, not just the soundtrack but the game aswell. Based Hakita
@@cr33p3rhd6 Yup, every once in a while there's an amazing developer capable of taking care of many aspects of a single game and nailing every single one of them, like Hakita and Toby Fox.
If I got a nickel for every time a game about going to hell and killing demons had a harpsichord I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but its weird that happened twice
I love how the starting notes for Cerberus almost sound like a warning siren as V1 makes their way into hell. Really sets the ton for the absolute SLAUGHTER that’s about to happen.
I just realised why he is called Cerberus despite not being a three-headed dog. Because he guards the entrance to the afterlife. How did I not internalise this sooner?
@@garr_inccuz u forgor to read the enemy entrance, also, i think its called cerberus cuz there was supposed to be 3 statues, but it was too Hard so they only put 2.
@MRAnthony CJ Plus it introduces the player to the flamer enemies with a short but pretty nice buildup. I remember going through the top area like you're intended to do, walking through the corridor that had nothing but charred remains with blood spilled all over the floor. Opening the door at the end to reveal the starting area ablaze was such an amazing reveal to a challenging common enemy.
What an absolute banger of a soundtrack. I remember walking into the fight with V2 being so scared after seeing him slide past outside... And then "Versus" played, and I was like: "He's a badass, but oh yeah... so am I... this is just two badasses doing what badasses do. And Im gonna do it better" (I didn't do it better).
*Attempts to bench press* *Unintentionally parries barbell and makes it explode on other side of gym, killing five people* *Crowd cheering intensifies*
The "Cerberus" track is what hell sounds like in my mind. I also love how the dark griminess of the Prologue is contrasted against Limbo. It sets up this perfect "oh the entire game is gonna be like this" moment only to expertly subvert it by showing that no, Hell in this game is gonna be weird and every layer will be different. I'm so excited for the full release. If you can keep the quality of the initial release up this might be one of my new favorite games of all time.
When clicking a video called "ULTRAKILL: INFINITE HYPERDEATH" I didn't expect a calming piano to be the opening. But then 2:40 kicked in and the title made a little more sense.

Really quickly, I just want to gush over how beautiful the name of the song "The Fire is Gone" is. It is such a small part of it and of the game too, but it fits the song perfectly. It's almost like a lullaby. Something to remind you that everything you just went through, everything you just saw, everything you fought so hard to overcome, is finally over for now. You can rest. There is no danger here. The monsters, the violence, the fear, the threat, all of it, there is nothing to worry about. Right now, even if it's only for a moment, the fire is gone. NOW LET'S GET BACK TO BEATING THE SHI# OUT OF DEMON SPAWNS AND STEALING THEIR LIFE FORCE!!!!
I do really love the foreshadowing in the title of that first track, referring to the ending exposition when you beat act 2 (not spoiling anything, but it makes me love Gabriel)
@@shavenjesusyeah the fire is definitely supposed to be a positive thing. Humanity, god, creation, is all gone. All that's left is the machines. It's supposed to be sombre
The title sounds like a Parody game of The Simpsons, is played like a Titanfall, sounds like the brother of Doom, and gives you mechanics to literally make anything you want while fighting like a DMC. *Totally the perfect game...*
It plays like what it is, dmc meets quake. Play titanfall and then play ultrakill, you can't play them like the same game. It's a movement shooter, not every two games in the same genre play like one another.
I love so much the DOOM music. The DUSK music. The Wolfenstein music. The Killing Floor music. But somehow, thia music, the difference on every song, is just something i love. A peace song, a brutal song, melancolic song, etc. Etc. Man. I *really* love this entire video.

Don’t let this kick-ass music and kick-ass gameplay distract you from the fact that your character is already complicit in humanity's extinction, and the only reason you’re storming Hell’s gates is that the blood’s there. “Are we the baddies?” you may ask at some point. Yes, yes we are. Having said that, this game still sounds and looks kick-ass, like I said. I should probably play it one of these days.
Going from the Debussy track to Versus was such a powerful transition. The pacing of the soundtrack is very well done with the ambient and classical tracks being placed in the right places to give a short break from the constant carnage of the fast-paced jungle and breakcore beats.

I love how the prelude plays this heavy and typical fps songs that get the blood pumping but the deeper the game goes the more angelic and somber the songs get. Can't wait to see what the rest of the game will bring.
I love this album's art. It's so funny that the community makes so many memes turning V1 into quite the silly little guy. I always forget that you're playing as a badass, blood-fueled, killing machine
Gabriel: "Behold! The power of an Angel!" V1: "Behold! The power of my coin!" EDIT: This is probably the most liked comment I've ever made ever. EDIT 2: Okay, for real: Where are these "and this (insert gun here) that I found" coming from? 😂
I like to think that the name "A Complete and Utter Destruction of the Senses" refers to the fact that when you're burning alive over time your nerve endings die off and stop sending any signals to your brain. Quite fitting for the enemy this track represents.
YOU AGAIN. I KNOW YOU FROM YOUR TF|2 MODDING GUIDES ON STEAM AND I SAW YOUR OTHER ONE ABOUT HOW TO GO ON KNOWING RESPAWN HAS ABANDONED US. YOU LIVE RENT FREE IN MY MIND
this was my first introduction to Ultrakill, the bright red background and the kick ass art... so glad that I couldn't help but wonder what INFINITE HYPERDEATH is
I still love the moment of realizing the title song (The Fire is Gone) is not in reference to hell fire or a chance to take a break, but rather to Gabriel's speech at the end of Act 2. Brilliant Work.
"A Thousand Greetings" and then "A Shattered Illusion" are incredible :D In the game, I never had them back to back but listening to it like it is here gave me goosebumps :D Really cool soundtrack! :D
i also just want to say the naming of these songs is incredible. when entering limbo for the first time, it’s confusing. you have went from literal hell to a sanctuary with calming music. it really is A Thousand Greetings contrasting the previous layer you experienced. later you begin to realize that limbo isn’t real. walls projecting scenery, holographic water, even the music was just being played by little hidden speakers behind trees and other objects. the Illusion is Shattered, and the limbo layer isn’t as welcoming as previously thought. a place where sinners were put there for simply not believing in god, lose their sanity, and beg the lord for forgiveness as they suffered long, painful deaths.
The Fire is Gone (music box) is by far my favorite song on here. I can just imagine when the full game is done that song playing as the camera pans across an empty view of hell. No more demons, no more angels, no more god. A fuelless machine alone in a lifeless universe, and it makes me think this game has even bigger story potential.
when i first heard Complete and utter destruction of the senses, i took a little breather, stood up from my chair, wondered what the fuck i'm actually playing and then went on and put another 50 hours into this masterpiece.
I feel like it fits in the story or at least in the premise of what you are going through, especially the secret levels, there is actually alot of downtime in this game.
Doom down time is rediculous. its long slog through platforming and nothing much the fuck else going on for minutes at a time then a long slog through an arena and im a Nightmare player so shits extra waves and extra tanky and repeat. Ultrakill down time stays under 20 seconds before you see action again, and thats at the latest. You pace through the same lock-in-arena, linear level shit, sure, but at least in ultrakill, if you understand movement tech, the dev straight up designed a level to have skippable segments and built the game with speedrunning in mind.
@@fluffypinkpandas both games are different first off all doom eternal is triple a game so its likely they had in mind the casual players experience in mind (not talking about diffuculty) while ultrakill i am pretty sure hakita didnt give a damm if people said that the game is too fast paced and what do you mean about the waves and the extra tanky lol
My best idea of it is just that it’s likely went rogue after mankind was allegedly destroyed. It’s a free bot, so it gets to do what it likes. Maybe he was one of the reasons for mankind being destroyed, maybe V1 and V2 are rivals for a reason. It’s possible that they were initially constructed by humanity to be war machines only thirsting for blood of their enemies, hence why V2 was able to track V1 down so easily, or why V1 can often be so merciless to enemies, using coins to tear enemies into pieces, using the arm of its past foe to tear through the hordes of monsters just clawing for a way to escape V1.
MRAnthony CJ if it’s solely searching for blood and blood alone, maybe a specific type of blood is what it’s end goal is. The blood of a god would be the ultimate prize.

I hope the next acts bring more Piano tracks because those are definetly the strongest for me. It might not be as hype, but by god they set the hell tone so good, and add great contrast to the aesthetic of the game.

A shattered illusion is one of the best if not the best track imo
i also just want to say the naming of these songs is incredible. when entering limbo for the first time, it’s confusing. you have went from literal hell to a sanctuary with calming music. it really is A Thousand Greetings contrasting the previous layer you experienced. later you begin to realize that limbo isn’t real. walls projecting scenery, holographic water, even the music was just being played by little hidden speakers behind trees and other objects. the Illusion is Shattered, and the limbo layer isn’t as welcoming as previously thought. a place where sinners were put there for simply not believing in god, lose their sanity, and beg the lord for forgiveness as they suffered long, painful deaths.
