Howdy glad your on I've a ? In 1978 or 79 I was awarded the German GAFPB IN Bronze I've lost my award certificate how can I replace it . Also where can I get ribbons and medals certificate for cold war stuff and how do I find out if I got them. All they put on my DD214 was expert badge rifle when I was given more than that.
Will the concurrent wearing of the global war on terror Expeditionary Medal and Iraq campaign and or Afghanistan campaign medal ever be authorized for those of us who earned both
Thank you for the information. A question , I was deployed 4 times to the ME (OIF & OEF) I was awarded the GWOT and the GWOTE medals. What are the criteria for adding the stars to them?
I remember when we were only issued the GWOT Expeditionary Medal and GWOT Service Medal in 2003-04, when I was in Afghanistan. Campaigns came later, and it was back then, you could only wear one or the other not all of them which later changed to wear all of them.
@@veteransmedalsworkshop-moa4376 this could be multiple videos. Breaking it down to the subjects of ribbons, medals, badges, unit awards, all other awards, and details on uniforms like service strips and combat bars on the right sleeve. Plus just anything else the should be considered when moving from one branch to another. Please do from Marines to the army first.
Marine that went army, Equivalent awards can both be worn but Army Medals go first in order of precedence. For instance a Army Achievement Medal would go ahead of the Navy Achievement Medal. You can find the current version of AR-670-1 army uniform regulation.
Hi Colonel! What about the Air Force Commendation Medal? I know it existed! But don't tell me the AF tightwads got rid of it. It it sad enough that those in from 1976-87 can not even wear a Defense medal. It is like our efforts were not appreciated!
Who one that you may see in the video is of a 78 Fraser. The oldest Scottish regiment in North America Dating back to the French and Indian wars. the one on the cut out is Calhoun.
@@veteransmedalsworkshop-moa4376 Thank you Sir! I am familiar with The Frasiers, I was involved with a Frasier reenactment unit. I couldn't figure out the ' cut out' , Calhoun! Excellent!
Hello Col. I heard that it might be posdible to wear both the NATO MSM and the one regular NATO campaign medal. That is because the MSM is more of a personal decoration. Could that be true?
All of these medals and $5.00 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. I've got a bunch of them from the last century. When you no longer wear the uniform, or retired, they mean nothing. Nobody cares. I wouldn't bother to waste my money on a shadow box for display. We had a retired First Sargeant move in down the street. He commenced to put a plywood 1SG stripes, Drill Sargeant Badge, Airborne Wings and a host of unit insignias on his porch railings. After a spell, they all came down. I think the Mrs had a say in the matter.
I've got a very nice bar in my family room and a den wall or two to consider. Thankfully, I do have friends and family over occasionally and would like a shadow box to show off. I'm sorry you feel this way, man. In some cases, I'm sure you're correct. In fact, lately, I'd probably agree with you more in light of experiences of my own. Recently, I've decided that I am lucky to still have my childhood friends and also a few haters and if I get a shadow box it's just as much an FU to the haters as a curiosity to my friends and family and some love to myself. Be well, man. Be proud of yourself for your own service, we've all run across miserable people that don't deserve us.
COL,
Thank you for taking us all the way from the beginning to present. It is appreciated.
My pleasure!
Thank You Very Much
Happy holidays
Great series. Thank you.
Very welcome

Check each phase dates compare them to when you were there. Each phase gets you a star

I messed up and left it out...my mistake. I knew some sharp eye would catch it!
Amen. Served in the USCG in the mid 1970s and didn't even qualify for a NDSM.
If I may ask, what Tartan is your kilt?

yes, good point. it is a foreign personal decoration.
