  • Making cold process soap with honey as an additive doesn't have to be this scary, prone to overheating, crystalized mess. It's pretty easy. A portion of the proceeds for this soap will go to The Honeybee Conservancy. Check them out at the links below! 🐝🍯

    Nettles! I got handmade soap at a market years ago that was recommended for dry, irritated skin and it was nettle soap. I was skeptical at first because normally the idea of stinging nettles on your skin doesn't seem like a good idea. But it was honestly the best soap I've ever used to help my mild psoriasis and my sisters eczema. Sadly despite going back many times they have never had the soap stall back again.
    P.S I'm in Scotland so would love a Scottish theme if you do it, our national flower is on the spikey side after all. ;) Love your videos. Xx

      at home” beekeepers are doing such things. I did put it in a vague manner, because I wanted to draw attention to the problem with invasive honey bees, by saying “destroying.” Some people do keep honeybees and think of the consequences on their local environment and take that into consideration, but I’m also well aware of people who do not care. I hope this does explain my point a bit.

I think your personality is what draws people, but don't forget to follow your heart with this craft; and follow up on accidental things.sometimes! Example I was all about my roses. A young man I wark with was using a caustic cleaning chemica! He had sensative skin, and oops there I was making him a basic lard soap! Now I make soap! Follow your intuition! Trust me it comes to you!! I literally had not thought about making soap, now everyone is asking can you make this and that!🎉Thank you for showing me into a business that never occurred to me! • @Charoula1608
      @Charoula1608 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Right? What am I getting at the end if I buy a bar? 2 drops of honey?
      I very roughly did the math and you get about 3 grams of honey in every bar of soap. Maybe a tiny bit more because I calculated for a high top (6.8oz) not a low top (6oz).

    • @sandrabarrientos7317
      @sandrabarrientos7317 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @brazilianeyes13
      @brazilianeyes13 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sandra Barrientos thanks for replying! I’m still wondering what you mean exactly by works out okay. Like in the recipe and proportions to still get something that can work as soap or in the sense that you can actually get benefits from honey in the soap in such a little amount?

    • @sandrabarrientos7317
      @sandrabarrientos7317 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@brazilianeyes13 you get benefits from that small proportion. I know ilt doesn't make sense but my customers love the oatmeal and honey soap I make. I use the same recipe for all my soaps and just change the acive ingredients (extracts, flowers, honey, oatmeat, etc) and I've received very nice comments for the oatmeal and honey. So yes, 3 grams of honey per soap is enough to get benefits from it.

    Love the soap! And i love that your also spreading info that can help Bees!
    my Daughter was working in the yard and saw a bee that was in the leaves and not "looking so well". i didn't see any injuries to the bee.
    It had been warm that day and got cold quickly that evening. So my thought was she got too far from home and got cold. With their metabolisms it can mean certain death. So we got her some sugar water ,{which she went to IMMEDIATELY!} and put her in a box lined in paper towel. she ate several times and slept most of the night. We know she was sleeping because you could actually Tell! we waited for it to warm up the next morning and took her out... Opened the box, and AWAY SHE WENT! she could barely crawl the night before... I was SO Happy! and so proud of my daughter for taking the time and effort to help one so small.... I joke with my daughter and say,"That was probably the most quiet nights sleep shes ever gotten!!! Any way, just thought id share! 💗🐝💗
