      That was just a joke lol maybe tap a 5/16-18 and put a shoulder bolt and use the head of bolt to hold the retainer in place. Got to have something kinda strong cause your going to be creating some of crank case pressure

    Yep, I have a welder guy. BTW, I know that I am a rank amateur on a lathe and all, but I would think that you would want to chuck the rod up a little closer to the lathe chuck...

      I was being lazy I drilled the center small drill first and then did the big diameter and then patted it and repeated so I didn't have to keep unchecking it and rechucking and re indicating
