@James the Truther I only found one blog about the place which is how I found it to film it. The blog was vague and didn't provide any history on what the place was used for or what happened to cause it to go abandoned. But my friend just provided me with the potential history. So stay tuned
Thanks danna!! :) Yeah I heard locusts very often when I was there and they are definitely loud. It's weird as normally Japanese people are extremely respectful and wouldn't ever do that. So it's a abnormality that it was vandalized that much

That was cool. Loved the fancy couch. With the stained glass above it. I didn't see any restrooms, maybe that secret door led to the toilets & showers. Thanks for another great explore. Be safe, think that spider could have wrapped you in a web. So huge!!
Thanks Tamara. :) Lots of beauty in that place even though there was lots of destruction. But I loved the couch and stain glass. Such a great combination. I have never seen a temple so trashed! I wonder who did the destruction and if there was a reason for it. It was interesting though. Sad you couldn't get in to the secret door. Maybe it was a restroom?!? Thanks much for taking me along.
Just a thought but I read in the comments something about a group that believed there would be an apocalypse in early 2000s. So it could be an entrance to a bunker they had for the apocalypse they believed was coming. It looks like a lot of money was used building the place. And it appeared to be a key pad by it and it would be weird to have a keypad lock on a bathroom.
Hi, wow as you said, it's really rare to find an abandoned temple, that secret door though, anything could be in there and it's driving me mad lol. Hey you found and you tried to open the door so no-one can accuse you of not trying. Awesome content again, thanks for taking us with on the incredible Japan series. x
I know thanks Sue! I gave it my best shot and trust me it was killing me too. I may have found the actual history of the place and if so, will shock you. Thanks for tagging along with me on the journey. :)💚👍
Good video. That couch with that background was just cool. The secret door looks to be a sliding type door, no hinges bumps or signs of hinges. I wonder if it's an entrance to underground bunker or something and the sink is probably to wash your hands to get rid of germs or something to gain access to underground to prevent infection or something. I watch too many horrors and zombie and survival type films 😌
That must be the Temple of Thousands of Locusts. That single sphere mounted in front of the main doors to the temple must represent something. Earth? The sun? (Temple of the Single Testicle?) Yes, this was an interesting tour. Would love to know the back story. Stay safe; L.E.T.!
I was thinking a ufo religious group that wouldn't have much local respect. But how do you know that wasn't a baby spider and the parents were upstairs?
Yeah I know 👽. What secrets did they hide here and what kind of group lived here? Oh my gosh, if that was a baby spider, I wouldn't know what to do except run! 🏃♂️
Very interesting place you found here!! The sofa was beautiful, especially sitting under the stained glass window. The spider 🕷 would have freaked me out!! The UFO book and the secret door look like they might go together. Lol I think a restroom is behind the door. Maybe their religion won’t allow it to actually be in the temple?? Did you see any bathrooms in the buildings? So sad to see all the graffiti. I know it’s rare to see it in Japan, so maybe people from other countries did it. Another great explore Harmin!! I always look forward to the next one! Stay Safe out there!!
Dude what that room look like is a restroom, because if I'm correct in China and Japan they have public restroom in every 3 block. I could be wrong. What are you thoughts? Thanks for the video, and stay safe.
Another interesting find and video in Japan! I'm so curious what the secret door leads to. With a sink inside, it may be just a restroom or handicapped accessible entrance?! It could be a wide variety of possibilities. Ha ha ha! Great work! 🙂✌
Thanks Bren!😀👊 Definitely wasn't a separate entrance unless it went underground. I really hope it was something cooler than a toilet. 😆 Idk though. Still a mystery
Was this before you met up with Dan and Josh? I can't believe they would have a temple like that either, but here in the states they have churches that shut down sacred places and some of them fall apart. I do wish dan was there to see that spider. Great video my friend thank you for sharing.
Still a great adventure, Harim. Sacrilegious to deface any place of worship. That secret room could of held different statues of Budda that would be switched out at certain times. My travels though Thailand and Singapore, the temples would often switch out so the gold could be polished, also.
I saw some kind of Spider T-shirt after I left that comment . On Sreadshirt or some other Distributor . It looked Good . All it would need is Numbers and Names . Let me know how much . I'm sure we could come up with more cash than the shirts are worth . I would have to have at least 50 XL and 50 LG . Hey I just thought . If you could snag a pic of 2 spiders and put Josh& Dan's heads on them on t . Lol
Part of it is I feel safe going into these places is because Japan is like top 10 safest countries in the world. I felt perfectly fine walking around at night etc. I still kept a good wits about me just in case
Wow! Cool find! I truly wonder what was beyond that door, if you or anyone knows more about this place please post it! As for the graffiti and vandalism to the place it is definitely sad to see, especially in Japan since that's pretty uncommon there. Just got back from 3 weeks in the Canadian Rockies and I was really surprised with the amount of graffiti / vandalism in their national parks. On signs, rocks on the paths, fences, even park benches that have "in memory of" plaques on them. I guess they just had to carve out a "Jones family 2018" to complete their trip...sorry rant over.
Idk maybe. But I found out a religious cult used to stay there so I'm thinking it's something more mysterious. Plus, most bathrooms don't have an electronic key pad. You could only open it with the electronic pad.
My god the size of that spider 😱 You should so send a screenshot or a few frames of it to Dan and Josh 🤣😂🤣😂 I think it might be a toilet behind your secret door that I think slides open 😉
