Charizard is the most iconic and sought-after card in Pokemon collecting. Over the years, I've amassed quite a few Charizards and decided to bring them out of storage for a collection video recap. As a kid, I always wanted a 1st edition Base set Charizard, but could never obtain one, so when I re-entered the Pokemon community in 2011, Charizard is one of the first Pokemon cards that I went for. Further inspired by King Pokemon (Gary from Pawn Stars), Gemmint Pokemon, and TCA Gaming, I decided to expand into other sets and slowly built a pretty substantial collection of Charizards, most of which I have personal sent to PSA as raw cards and have owned ever since.
Although these Charizards have grown significantly in price, many of them have sentimental value due to their acquisition stories. Again, I want to thank you all for your support and hope you enjoy seeing my Charizard collection!

What a great collection .. I should of started doing this at the same time as you during the 2010-2013 period .. now it’s no longer feasible to gather vintage charizard cards since they are so insanely expensive .. unfortunate
That's true, but there are always cards right now that will be appreciate in the future too. Strategic moves are always there; the hard part is predicting which ones will appreciate.
You inspired me to try and complete my favourite set in 1st ed psa 10. I'm working on the jungle I currently have 6 of the holos so far. I'm really glad I found your channel. Always look forward to your videos!

I appreciate that! I'm a collector first not an investor, so I think that helps me keep perspective. Nothing wrong with investing and researching financials, but I think it's important to understand and appreciate the cards, their history, and the community.

Amazing Collection!! I pulled a Rainbow Charizard out of Champions Path on New Years Eve. I want to have it graded so bad but to much craziness going on with Postal Service nowadays that I think I'm gonna hold off
Be patient! Grading is super slow anyway, so no reason to rush it. Congrats by the way!
@@pokemon_classics Appreciate it, I waited months to get Champions Path, never had any! New Years Eve my local Walmart restocked ETB's and I got 4. 3rd pack ever opened and hit it! In your opinion, what's the best place to order whole Booster Boxes from? Or for sets that don't do Booster Boxes what's the safest best route for one to go?

Man I wish I had remembered when I got older what cards I wanted the most. And had the foresight to buy them when they were cheap. I dont find the value that others find in these cards i find the nostalgic value far more. The only expensive cards I have left after my house fire. Was a shadowless venasaur and a german original wotc charizard. Other than all the bulk that I had in a binder in storage when it happened.

@@russell4781 no it was devastating forsure. After joining the facebook groups and seeing what the community has become. It has made me feel as though it's all fiat like U.S. currency. The value is hyper and artificially inflated
I fly RC aircraft. The community is tiny and most dont have cell phones because they are all ancient.
The community and my situation has made me despise the once beautiful cards as well
@@krotchlickmeugh627 yep I can understand that.. if I was you jus knowing from your comment I would stay away for awhile to maybe pick couple things up for this 25anv year but would hold off until prices stable out maybe at end of year then go after the ones you really like.. good luck with everything man stay positive their are still genuine collectors in the hobby but alot of money hungry ppl to with the spike but they will move on to something else after supply goes up

I got back into the hobby in 2015 and my era of cards 3rd gen sets are slowly getting out of reach in psa 10's and 9's but will have to make do🤣🤣 My favourite Charizard in my collection is my flashfire full art Charizard love the design of that card in particular.

So PC are you retired? I feel you could be after selling your collection! It would incredibly hard to part with tho! What are your thoughts on the different grading companies? Beckett, GMA, CGC?
Definitely not retired! I work a full-time job, two part time jobs, manage three TH-cam Channels, and run my eBay store. I actually enjoy most of my work though!

I completely disagree about shadowless looking better. I feel the exact opposite, I love that orange coloring in the picture on the unlimited base set. Shadowless look a little goofy to me.
