ROB LANDES is an award-winning violinist who started playing the violin at 3 years in Orem, Utah. Born to a large musical family, Rob gave his first solo recital at 10 years old, performed in the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on the Disney Channel with the Disney Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, and founded a piano trio that performed actively throughout his teenage years. Rob has won first prize at numerous music competitions and has soloed with the Utah Symphony, Utah Valley Symphony, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, BYU Philharmonic, and BYU Chamber Orchestra. As a first violinist of the BYU Chamber Orchestra, Rob performed in more than twenty cities throughout central and southern Europe, and as concertmaster of the orchestra, gave a concert to a sold-out audience in New York’s Carnegie Hall. Rob was awarded full scholarships to attend Brigham Young University and Rice University where he earned a Bachelor’s in Music and Master’s in Music, respectively. While studying at Rice, Rob began covering rock and pop music, and upon returning to Salt Lake City after graduation, began playing with a looper pedal which he uses to create intricate and stunning arrangements of today and yesterday’s most popular music Rob recently won the award for "Best Instrumental" at the Utah Music Awards for his rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah".

I'm in orchestra and can I just say, anyone who is a patron of the arts or someone who appreciates music, _loves_ this game. The music in it is so good at captivating the emotions we're feeling _while_ things are happening on screen. You can really _feel_ the emotions the characters display when they express them. The music in this game is some of _the best_ emotional music I've ever seen in my life.
I'd love to see people perform orchestra. It'd be such a thrilling moment I'm sure!

They have that in one of the tracks! Y’know that scene you can get where Connor is literally chasing Kara and Alice? The song that plays during it is called Run With Me and it’s primarily Kara’s, but in the background towards the middle of the song, Connor’s track can be heard like he’s stalking them. It’s pretty cool!
Markus theme- questioning, a story about choosing ones path based on their own morals. Connor theme- determined, one who will stop at nothing to complete his goal. Kara theme- sorrow, a story of the middle man in the wars, the smallest shread of hope is priceless

I disagree for Connor's theme. In his theme, you can hear glitches. To me, it doesn't represent the efficiency of a machine, but more like pure and raw hunting, almost like a game in itself, between fear and courage
SleepyPuddle 6 for me in connors theme. At points I will agree, it feels like he is. A predator hunting prey. But also there are parts that are slow he is realizing that there may be glitches in his system or that his software isn’t complete. Like in the end of him theme it feels like he as finally broken down his programming. Yet through out his whole theme it is tense.

I could imagine Connor doing another chase scene with Kara here. Like when it cuts to Connor it plays in Connor's song while it does the same to Kara. And in the end you choose to control Kara or Connor, if you choose Kara you could surrender or run away from Connor. If you choose to control Connor you can catch Kara and Alice or Connor could refuse to catch them after realizing how much they care for each other like with the Tracy's expect it's family. That would trigger a software instability and improve your relationship with Hank but if you kill Kara it's the opposite. Capturing Kara and Alice could have like an extra chapter where they try to escape and you can sacrifice Kara or Luther in the end of it or Luther could help save the two without anyone dying. Then they head to Rose after walking on foot.

I always thought machine connor was the most human out of the other 2 characters. A person blindly following orders while being to stubborn to think for themselves because they were given purpose. Connor was always deviant and choosing machine connor was his own choice.

It's so weird when I hear Kara's theme, all I can think of is bravery and protection. It makes me feel safe. When I hear Connor's theme, all I can think of is the importance of something. It's almost suspenseful. Hearing them together made me feel both ways. Almost like...like in the movies when someone has to leave someone else behind. The person they're leaving behind is telling them to hurry and do what they need to and it's hard for whoever is being told this. Perseverance. That's the word I'm looking for. Strength and bravery are key and that's what I feel when hearing this. It's amazing that music can do such things. Make you think of these things. I love this so much. Thank you for making this.
I agree with you they have done a great job with the music because the choice of music really connects you with these characters and they create feeling that impact the choices you make in the game...

The tension between the two themes creates a new complex feeling for me, like a tug between the two perspectives. I feel like it belongs to someone who is forced by circumstance to leave behind another who they love in order to fulfill a goal that is paramount, and being faced with the realization that life may not be worth living without them being there anymore.
This is why I love music and the creators that use it to its fullest in a medium like movies or games. The fact that I can think of so many examples that are at the same time so different in utilization is astounding. It's so adaptive
Kara sounds like fleeing, and free. Connor sounds like a hunt
Nate he is hurted he has been traumatized from getting killed from so many times from different players like when he fell off in the building when girl is being held

I would like to say that I noticed how he robotically did Connor's part (till near the middle of it, possibly because there's a CHOICE to make him deviate) than robotically again and did Kara(and Alice's) song more lively
