Oh wow this will work perfect for a board broadcast mix. Didnt even think to do this even coming from producing in studio using tricks like this. Nice tutorial!
You need a noise generator and a noise gate. could be a phone with an app, could be anything that can generate a pink noise. Send that into a channel, gate it, use a line out of your snare, send it into the gate Side chain in … and it will do the same thing as I did in the console. Good luck
Hi Thanks again for great videos. when the drummer plays rim shots, Occilator channel will still work right? In this case sound guy has to know what drummer plays and switch of / Mute the occilator channel when its n0t necessary. Isnt it very unpractical? Thanks
Hi Priyan 👋 Do you mean Side Stick? Because they are a lower energy hits, they should not make your gate open and not trigger the Pink Noise. Personally, I check with the drumer and set my gate so it won’t open.
I love this. I used one Wing Oscillator for the kick and one to EQ the room. The room is good, so I can move that source to the snare oscillator. 👍👍
@@BibleBulletin glad you like it!
Good to know I'm not the only one doing these (snare & bd) studio tricks 🙃
That’s really old but still work
