What a simple fix! I expected the process to be much more involved. After I hit "cntrl" "search" "H" I hit "Subscribe"...in the correct color!!! Thanx a bunch!!!👍

Sounds like they have a theme that they have set to high contrast. Try changing the theme in the browser settings. Good ouch and let me know if that resolves it for you. If not let me know and we can keep trouble shooting.
is there any way possible at all to keep high contract mode but all photos look normal? my father in law cannot remember the shortcut to turn it on and off. he loves the mode, but hates that the pictures look like x rays.

I'm sure many people will come here with the same issue; a PC using Chrome and not a Chrome Book :) EDIT >> well i just solved the issue. It was a Chrome extension. For some reason there was a high contrast extension running in the background. Removing that solved the problem. Thank god i dont have to use EDGE any more! LOL
Most chrome books should have a search button, however if yours does not click the time in the lower right hand corner and find the accessibility menu, you’ll find the setting to resolve the issue there.

I would suggest dark mode, that should keep the pictures normal.
