Hi, the creek dries out so you need to arrive before HW. We can enter and leave up to 3 hours either side on a spring tide. We draw 1.4metres. That equates with a 3.5 metre tide to give clearance over the sill.
@@boatingsibbingandwandering3262 you certainly will be able to creep out nice and early just make sure you leave time to get back in 😁. Spring tides are preferable, BUT a high spring tide covers the saltings, Look carefully at the intro picture to the video! At sea level it is quite easy to get disorientated. It's easier with a bigger boat as you are a bit higher up. I am on ybw east coast forum so you can pm closer to you projected date if you want to.
Hi Ian, thank you for your very useful videos. I had much pleasure by making and now using the "Hebridean" wind vane. Your excellent videos helped me a lot! I am making a little video for my channel on TH-cam about the "Hebridean". This windvane is not well known in french speaking areas. Would you mind, and allow me to recommand your videos at the end of my film? Thank you Ian, and have a nice sailing, Emmanuel
Hi Emmanuel, I am glad you found them useful and that they helped you make your own. I have no objection to you linking to them, if my French was better I might try adding subtitles, but sadly they would only make people laugh. Fair winds to you 😃
Hi Ian, as I told you, a long time ago, I publish today a video on TH-cam about the wind vane. "The Hebridean, un régulateur d'allure". Once more, thank you for your help by building this great device! Fair winds to you, Emmanuel
Excellent and very useful similar to what I try to do around me
Glad you enjoyed it, I try to make videos that are helpful.😁
@@iankfr I am now on the Internet planning our visit. Is they marina accessible by boat at all states of the tide

@@iankfr Thanks I would be using a small 4.5 m Rib or even smaller Rib so only 0.6 m draft so could still have a good day out
