Disfruté este juego. Sentí un poco de presión, tanto en términos de saber el significado de la palabra como de encontrar un sinónimo. Puedo ver que Laura es una maestra maravillosa ya que tranquiliza a la gente. La presión es enemiga del recuerdo y enemiga del aprendizaje.
Como juego está bien pero no te hace justicia. Eres un icono del aprendizaje de idiomas. Además estaba complicado y depende del sentido que se le da a las palabras en cada país, supongo. Soy hispanoparlante pero para mi cuaderno no es lo mismo que libreta, guardar no es lo mismo que recoger y helado no es lo mismo que glacial, por ejemplo.
El "joyoso" que dices como sinónimo de feliz (joyeux, gioioso) sí existe en español, se dice gayo y es un cognado del inglés gay (originalmente alegre, feliz)
Steve lo hizo de maravilla!! Es cierto cualquiera se sentiría presionado o nervioso pero al final fue un test divertido ! Creo que nosotros tus seguidores estábamos todos allí soplandote las respuestas ( como si pudieras escucharnos 🤭) y deseando que encontraras los sinónimos también! .. Al final y al cabo eres nuestro mentor más querido ! -Arigato gosaimás Sensei- .. y super linda la chica también 🌷🥰

He's really honest about his language learning and ability unlike some other polyglots. He's said straight out that he's only C1/C2 in two languages; English and French and the others are all around intermediate level.
He's DEFINITELY a beginner (A1) Spanish speaker (fluent speakers/polyglots are B2+). But this was a fun quiz!
@@DJSt3rling He's definitely B2+ in Spanish. He couldn't remember synonyms for a few words in that exact moment but that's just how those things go sometimes. His Spanish is at a really high level.

Synonyms can be quite tricky because words can have more than one meaning! Did you guess any?

Para guardar, es almacenar, ya que recoger no necesariamente significa que lo vayas a guardar, sino que tranquilamente podrías recoger algo para darle uso...

I absolutely loved this. The pause while he's thinking allows me to gather up my thoughts and catch up with the conversation.. and then i can feel a bit more immersed when they start talking again.

Being quized on the spot can be difficult for anyone even in your native language, and even more so considering Steve's goals and style are the opposite of this. For anyone tempted to criticize his method because of his stumbling here, imagine what it would look like if we did the opposite: take someone who studies mostly vocabulary & grammar and who "studies for the test", and throw them into a situation where they are expected to participate in a flowing casual conversation at full speed, and then judge them by how natural they sound. It would be a disaster. Steve's interests and methods are explicitly *not* aimed at things like vocab quizes, so it's pretty cool that he volunteered for something like this.
He estudiando español por más tiempo y más años que me gustaría admitir, pero entre las videos de Laura y Steve, y también su aplicación 'lingQ' han me ayudado más que pensé fue posible. Usando comprensible input es una manera de aprendizaje que no fue enseñado a mi durante escuela o universidad, solo gramática y listos de vocabulario. He mejorado y ha me ayudado, especialmente sobre escuchando y actualmente tener la capacidad para comprender que oído en conversación, televisión, música.
Sé que mi español no es perfecto, en El momento lo encuentro difícil saber cuando y donde me debería usar lo/le/la etcétera pero si pienso de la nivel de mis español, sólo algunos meses antes hoy, tengo emocionado por el futuro. Especialmente siguiendo usar las videos excelentes de Laura, y la obra de Steve en su aplicación.
Y sí, yo también uso demasiado palabras cuando escribo en mi primero lengua y tomo demasiado tiempo para alcanzar que estoy intentando decir.

Hi i'm a spanish speaker from Paraguay 🇵🇾
Me encanta lo amplio del español que uno puede encontrarle más de dos usos significado jajaja. Por ejemplo, pena, en el español de costa rica al menos, significa más como vergüenza, "Que pena ajena" o "que pena". Pero pena también puede ser tristeza 😂
Alrededor de 1:00, "seriosamente" me hace pensar en que hay una influencia del francés interfiriendo un poco, en este caso "serieusement", respetando incluso el usar el sustantivo en femenino y agregando -mente, que ocurre en ambos idiomas. También, "sentido" como una forma de referirse al significado de las palabras "le sens d'un mot".
Es interesante ver el "frañol" (francés + español, como spanglish) pero en el sentido contrario. Normalmente al aprender francés, los hispanohablantes arrastramos cosas del español pero Steve probablemente aprendió francés primero y lo hace en el sentido contrario.
Es posible también que derive esa palabra del inglés ‘seriously’ porque muchos estudiantes del español que hablan inglés como lengua materna se confunden entre ‘serio’ y ‘serioso’. A pesar de no existir en español, la palabra ‘serioso’ (y sus siguientes formas: seriosa, seriosamente) parece muchísimo a las palabras ‘serious’ y ‘seriously’ en inglés. Pero tu teoría también es muy posible
