They should count themselves lucky they're watching the episodes years later. Watching the cliffhangers on broadcast then having to wait a whole WEEK to see what happens, now that was excruciating.
im pretty sure they watched 1 episode a week, so they had that experience anyway! although they didn't have to go through the longer months long breaks like we did
Yeah, though they didn't actually use the sting sound during the Hartnell and Troughton years. Think it was introduced in the 7 parter The Ambassadors of Death from Pertwee's first season.
@@andrewlance3898 I’m probably totally wrong, but I’ve deduced that it’s just for show and they have a separate mouse for the real click. There’s just no way that thing is functional after they repeatedly beat the ever-living fuck out of it.
@@YodaOnABender Rumor is that viewers complained the preview spoiled the second part of the story, so starting with "The Impossible Planet" the producers switched the order of the credits and the preview to give viewers a chance to turn off the TV if they didn't want to see it.

In the UK watching these from week to week, the anticipation was made ever so slightly ( A lot) worse when Strictly Come Dancing (the show just before Doctor Who) would finish late by a few minutes from a live broadcast and I’d be screaming at the TV for the sweet release.
Just realized Moffat almost always kept the same two-parter noise that RTD had. I wish Chibs had kept it. RTD will probably bring it back since he’s showrunner again. After years, Eric can once again be haunted by the sound.
The closing sting in not an RTD invention. It's been used in Doctor Who since 1970s the Ambassadors of Death. NuWho fans, do research before you comment on things like you know what you're talking about, especially when you're dealing with a 60-year-old show.
@@DemetriusSorvo he never said it wasn’t used before then, plus with a show spanning 60 years seperated clearly into a new and old, who would want to do all that research for a TH-cam comment. Not everybody cares about Classic who
I love the anticipation on Shane’s face at 2:18. He was always the more reserved reactor so seeing him get genuinely into something was great. And that wasn’t a knock against him, it’s the benefit of a group reaction, different views add contrast and variety.
Wow, this has just reminded me of how I wouldn't realise if it was a two parter or not when I was a child. I suppose it's down to how some episodes can really wrap everything up in the last 5 minutes.
Knowing the sound is coming and waiting to see Eric’s reaction to it is one of the highlights of a new series of Doctor Who reactions. Every. Single. Time.
How the hell do these guys not realise it's a 2 parter earlier in the episode. They're all roughly the same length, no way is it gonna go from start of climax to end in like 5 minutes. *Cough* Power of 3 *Cough*
THANK YOU KOB! I was hoping you'd do an updated! :D What would you think of a Calvin hating birds compilation, or an Eric's funny impressions one? EDIT: OOH, or Eric calling Matt Smith ugly.
This was me during my first watch through almost 10 years ago. I remember like it was yesterday.... Doctor who episode: rrrrrrreeeeeooooo Me: FUUUUCK!!!
Hey I have an idea, you do this same kinda video but with the flowers in the ending credits from Demon Slayer because Eric gets so upset when he sees them like when he hears the sound.
You should've made the video a secret 2 parter, then played the sound at the end.
missed opportunity! LOL
Relevant given they played it when David showed back up.
Would've been perfect

The WORST inside joke Eric has ever been the center of.
Imagine Eric reacting to Classic Who, so many 4, 6, 10 parters, he would hate that.
Or the second doctor's story The Dalek's Master Plan which is a 12 parter

What's worse is the TO BE CONTINUED cliff hangers as you don't even get a preview of the next episode that killed me as a kid
You do, you just have to wait until the very end of the credits for some reason unlike the non-2 parters

That's how it was during Classic Who.
I love that Eric goes “part 1 of 2! Or 3! Or 7!” on the Silurian story when the original serial that introduced them was in fact a 7-parter 😂
3:11 - The simultaneous jaw drop from Eric, Shane, and Calvin during The End of Time is absolutely priceless 😂
I only just noticed Shane did it too thanks to your comment 😂 perfectly synchronised
Calvin having more experience with the red and gold Timelord motif allowing him to realize faster by just seeing Rassilon's robe was also great.
3:16 okay pretty damn cool to see them so invested. Most reaction shows ppl dont care or look bored but they look really engaged
I mean they probably do care you just don't see it on their faces

Ron Grainer wrote that stinger noise specifically to annoy this one dude.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lmao Eric's face "That Fn Sound" great compilation KOB👍
“Eric’s eye is twitching.”
I saw their reaction for the new Doctor Who episode finale and his eye is twitching again 😂

It was also a tribute to the original series cliffhangers. Baffling that Chibnall would decide to drop it.
Chibnall did keep it. Moffat introduced an effect to it but still kept the same sound. It hasn’t changed the original sonic sound since 2005

You know a show is good when the beginning of the credits music at the end of each episode makes you pissed.
you should do a compilation of all the times shane reacts to accidentally seeing the next time trailers
Whoa Alex hi
Power of the Doctor officially broke him
I absolutely love how you hear the music and you just go like ah fucking hell then the credits roll
Man. Even the spinning lightsabers didn't boil his blood this much
Count yourself, lucky it’s only the odd episode where it is a two-parter, for us, classic Doctor Who fans, it was every single week was a cliffhanger!
This was a video I never knew I needed till today.
Now it is complete. This is so funny to watch.

Well....not complete per say....theres S12 yet so at least two more xD cant wait for those reactions
@@destinitra i didn't watch those seasons yet so i didn't know. Plus the title of video has word "complete" in it.

Series 9 having like 5 two-parters 😂

No one tell him that Classic Who exists. I don't think he would survive it.
Lot of people nowadays act like Classic Who doesn't exist anyways.
