  • New year, new Zegamas!
The first version of the Nike Zoomx Zegama shoes have been one of my favorite trail shoes ever since they came out. They had a good fit with a bouncy Zoomx midsole, making them a fun trail shoe for the mountains. The only issue I had with them was the slippery outsole on wet terrain.
When I heard that the Zegama 2 would get a Vibram outsole, I knew I had to get them and try them out!
Not only the outsole has been updated since the last version, but also other changes have been made! Check out my video to see what the new version is all about!
And let me know, what you think of them! Would you get them?

I returned them. Too expensive for the issues out of the box. Heel slippage, no toe bumper, short laces, tight on top of foot. Just going to hold out and get Saucony Xodus ultra 3

Same, the heel slip is crazy, made worse by tiny laces making it almost impossible to tie a runners loop, and overall but a big heavy clunky mess.

@JohnM-xr6ch and 20 bucks more than any other comparable shoe. The grip was good and the midsole is soft but those should be a given on high stack trail shoes. I tried but I stopped liking Nike along time ago and this was a harsh reminder.

yeah I think I'm going to return mine. They feel heavy and hot and no toe bumper sucks

@jt.8144 yes of course or Nike would be out of business. Someone enjoys them.

I hear the toebox is even less accommodating then V1.

Thoughts on these as a trail hiker for 5-12 mile rocky and rooty mountain treks? Intrigued by level of cushion and new grip. Know theres no toe protection but still curious your thoughts

I wouldn’t recommend them. As a trail hiker I would get the Salomon Genesis, if the trails are technical. If the trails are easier then maybe the Hoka Speedgoat.
