I bought WRV VX petrol about 6 months ago.. refinement levels best h. you cant even tell that car is on..its amazing..Best road grip nature..it holds the line quite well even at high speed, so no body roll..car looks awesome in person especially from front end...I dont know y people complaint about lack of power soo much..its great for for city ride and decent for highway unless and until you are going to break the law and drive the car at 150 in 80 Kmph zone, good thing about Engine is that the low end punch is good..a flat mid(theres where it actually lacks) and a acceptable top end....yaa digipad 2.0 takes alot of time to get used too..good thing it has android OS on it bad thing its a gingerbread...only app i installed was Google map and run fine with car gps system....AC cooling is not that great especially on back seats...it takes 15-20 mins to get whole cabin cooled down & i do miss push button n key less entry but its not a big deal breaker...buy this car(petrol) if you love refinement , you will enjoy everytime you drive it and amount space it offer..its awesome for your weekly getaway drives....as the name suggest Winsome Runabout Vehicle...WRV.. wrapping it up:- best car for family getaways...not a good car is you are a maniac driver who wants to overtake everyone in front.... So drive safe and enjoy the drive...
Suspension is too good . Just superb. Petrol is very smooth. Not at all underpowered. Its a rumour. After a few thousand kms, the engine really opens up. Yes, while sporty overtaking, it strains a bit.
I am driving Honda WRV- VX diesel model since last 15 months, completely satisfied with performance, I also drive ECO sports & Brezza , WRV is much better.
Pros Ground clearance is good Braking superb Handling is very good and high speed stability is very good Space management is impressive Diamond cut alloys looks great Seat comfort is also good Refinement levels are very good. Cons As I own the petrol variant I am giving my views only about petrol engine. I feel it lacks initial pickup but it performs good in top end Gear shifting is not smooth Music system is not impressive AC is ok In petrol engine we have to change gears frequently I really feel headlight could have been better
Please evaluate honda WRV Diesel and let us know on following points : - Highway Stability with full load - Diesel Engine noise on triple digit speed - Overall driving dynamics on city and highway - Is it a good package from safety and build quality perspective ? - What are the common problems and maintenance costs ?
Seats are too soft and the headlighting/horn could have been better. Ownership experience for the top petrol varient since May 2017 is ok. . City petrol mileage is 13 & highway is 16.8 km/liter.
I own a WRV diesel variant ... I love it a lot.... Only the con is infotainment system otherwise it's very powerful and comfortable car ... Value for money
Adi Khanna The mileage for the WRV diesel is around 18 in the city whereas the ecosport gives only around 15 in the city. On the highways both give almost the same mileage depending on your speeds.
See I had similar confusion between Nexon xz+ and wrv vx but I personally went with WRV VX . I booked wrv in jan only and got delivery last week only . The reasons why i choose wrv was its glass area , wrv has overall good glass area and visibility which you don't get in nexon , i had very problem in nexon because of its pillars and because of its rear mirror because of which you may have problems in visibility in rear view mirror. Second is Wrv has a sunroof which is a star point . wrv has got very premium interiors and plastic , very city like . its like when you hop into front seats you feel like you are in Honda city . Then the third thing which is very important is mileage , where clearly honda wrv outperforms nexon , currently i am getting a mileage of around 20 in city (pune) ,soon will update about its mileage on highway too. Fourth safety wise nexon is better but it doesn't mean WRV is bad either, ofcourse nexon has more air bags but other than that WRV has abs,ebd as well as hill assist in diesel version . WRV is also slightly expensive than nexon but I found it a better car for my use , I also did mild offroading and found it good enough. Honda's insurance and after sales is also very good. I am getting 5 years unlimited kilometers warranty which is very good indeed better than nexon. So, all the best choose your car wisely , I toh have chosen to go with Honda Wrv Diesel version with smart keys
I have wrv diesel facelift 2020. Actually, it's the best i had driven...A Performer... Exclusive edition white pearl color steals the looks! M loving it so far.
Thanks for this informative video.... I want to buy diesel suv.... Confused between nexon xz+ and wrv vx..... Plz suggest me which one is best or any other option that I can choose
I brought WR-V VX Petrol last may and I find its very good. Engine wise Ford ecosports petrol is 1.5 ltr which had very good response. But I drive long drives only and I get average milage of around 16.2-16.5 kmpl with partial AC on. Only minus point is It lacks Android auto

People talk about the downside of the gear box but its not. Actually it will not shift to incorrect gears. For eg. If my speed is high and I suddenly want to downshift from 5th gear to 3rd, it wont allow you and resist at higher speed. You lower the speed and CLUCK, it will smoothly shift to 3rd or other lower gears. The speed needs to match with the shifting of the gears and I take it as very good thing for the engine and transmission. Sahi mausam me gear badlo. Not drastically.
i can tell the cons of this car - Gearbox (ESpecially 2nd Gear) Infotainment. Rear Ac Vents and Rear seats under thigh support is poor. no 60:40 split.Air noise at speeds 110+. But i Think Pros Are more than any other car.

You won't feel the punch in petrol because of the weight of car but if you want it for easy cruising or city run definitely yes recommend and the most important aspect Honda Petrol engines are proven to be the most reliable in the segment so certainly wont disappoint. I personally have the Diesel over petrol because it has enough punch at lower RPM and secondly that segment leading mileage.

I am owning the WRV diesel top model. Car has done around 17000 kms till date.

1. Low on maintenance (till now I only pay for 1 time oil change in last 1 Yr 6 month)
2. mileage is awesome (credit goes to idtech engine) it is providing me 26kmpl+. Soft push on throttle does it.

4. Excellent handling and steering feedback.
5. Decent cooling.
6. Cruise control is useful on highways.
7. City driving is also good because it has a better low rpm torque delivery.
8. Ground clearance is decent.
9. Boot space is sufficient for the size. 360 lts.

its only my opinion some people may not accept, so please don't take a seriously who doesn't agree
If you have budget around 10 lakh and you want to purchase mini suv then options are here as per your circle of people.
Maximum Circle of people are
Lower middle class - Brezza
Middle class - Brezza and Nexon
Upper middle class - eco sport and Nexon
Higher middle class - wrv
Other wise people will not accept your choice in this budget.
Diesel Wrv's strongest plus point is engine performance with best unbelievable millage.
Minus point is its looking like a hatchback
EcoSport and Nexon are more costly than wrv so Nexon and EcoSport suits for higher middle class than wrv

What's the avg of petrol variant with AC??
is it useful for long drive
How is the sound quality of the infotainment system?
Ok
What about wrv. Is it's petrol model is recommended?
You won't feel the punch in petrol because of the weight of car but if you want it for easy cruising or city run definitely yes recommend and the most important aspect Honda Petrol engines are proven to be the most reliable in the segment so certainly wont disappoint. I personally have the Diesel over petrol because it has enough punch at lower RPM and secondly that segment leading mileage.
Is it worth of buying it??kindly let me know.thanks
Yes very much

Heyy!! Is drl available in wrv 2020?
Have renault arkana will lounch in india?
Weather to buy top model petrol wr-v suggest pl.
If you have to travel more than 3000 km in a month then wrv diesel is great choice in this budget
if driving more than 1500 go for diesel else petrol is enough
Yes
Very powerful engine
What about suspension? I have a wrv and it's very shaky around bumps? Why so?
Diesel has got hard suspensions , whereas petrol version has soft suspensions , which one is yours
Same for me...very shaky. I have petrol VX.
Even I have honda WRV I felt it has issue with rear suspension. Suspension is so hard it doesn't work on harsh roads
Yes that I noticed too but only when there is no one in at the back seat but once it has some weight on back side it feels comfortable.
