Buffy love tyinus hate to break it to you kids, but there’s little difference in how things are done in terms of water and handling of foods. There’s no way they would have gotten sick eating salad at any of the places they went.
So True @Rauls Life My grandmother's mole recipe doesn't have any chocolate in it. She was from Chapala, in the State of Jalisco, Mexico. There are so many styles of mole throughout Mexico that use a vast variety of ingredients. I hope Julia, JP, and gang get to try many more moles on their visit.
Just One Bite, Please? I’ve been to the beautiful beaches of Chapala and just last week I was in San Juan del monte past la barranca de Guadalajara but still Jalisco. Best food ever

It’s not necessarily rude to be wary of the water in different countries, in fact you should always take it into consideration.. living in Mexico you’re used to the water and your gut bacteria is familiar with it, another person outside the country might get sick.
Jp and Julia, you have to try: Menudo🍲 Pozole🍲 Tamales de elote 🌽 Tamales de Carne🍖 Tamales de Hoja de plátano 🔥 Tacos De Carne Asada y Al Pastor🌮 Percherón🌯 Carnitas De Puerco🐖 Theres a lot of good stuff 🤤🤤🤤 And try a Tecate Blanca Y Roja 🍻
I love your vids but they cook fine and do things fine its just that Americans make that a stereotype for Mexicans.... I love you guys btw....this was kind of a mixed message
It happens alot, especially roadside food vendors..etc.. food poisoning is very prominent in areas without regulations. All family members and people I've known to travel to Mexico has gotten sick atleast once each from food poisoning. They still go, Mexico is an amazing and beautiful place. But you do have to be a tad more careful where you eat, and what you eat providing whoever is making it. I wouldn't get mad or assume they are putting Mexico down. In fact every country has dos and donts.
Fr out of all tha times i have been and lived in mexico i have only gotten sick once just once, its wasnt even for a day i just took like 2 shits and it was gone, American stomach's cant handle Mexican food an spices, lime is too acidic, chilies are too strong as well so thats y they end up sick i was born in usa i go back foward and dont get sick because my stomach can handle tequila, mezcal, chili, lime, salsa, fried food, greasy meat, cheese, grass hoppers, onion, garlic all in one sitting.
What? Honestly I love you guys but you have wrong information and are promoting wrong stereotypes. "They don't clean the lettuce right" are you serious?, I've been to the US a lot of times and also lived there and I swear there is where people (at least like in small restaurants) don't clean the vegetables right. Please, get your information right before putting wrong stereotypes.
0:55 food served in Mexico is not dirty. They sometimes have a lot of spices in them that Americans are not used to eating but I’m a little bothered that Julia was throwing shade at food handlers from Mexico. Just because it’s a foreign country, doesn’t mean that they’re not clean. There are plenty of places in the US that are disturbingly unhygienic.
I live in Mexico City & loved your video. I don't think they where at all offensive or tried to be, they just spoke what they knew. Obviously they were gonna compare to taco Bell since it's the only thing they knew but now they know better 🙄🙄 a lot of tourists get sick from the food in Mexico City even MEXICANS from other states, the stomach just isn't used to it, I got sick when I first got here(I come from Veracruz, another state) but I got used to it now. & About the lettuce, it sometimes is true. Friends of mine have gotten sick because of it & guess what? They're all MEXICAN. Stop being so butthurt & enjoy they video.......
Guys I’m from Queretaro Mexico near to San Miguel de Allende, I’m super happy that you’re in México, if you really want to taste real mexican food you need to stop going to fancy places, mexican food isn’t there, you need to go to a mercado, ask for cochinita pibil, mole verde, mole rojo, mole de olla, carnitas, barbacoa, chicharrón en salsa verde, pansita, tostadas de pata, chilorio, tacos de alambre, de pastor, de suadero, campechanos, de chorizo verde, de machitos, try to find comida oaxaqueña and ask for a tlayuda, fancy restaurants are not the best choice to eat good mexican food :) enjoy your time here!
We are in Semana Santa's Eve, so probably fried fish tacos are good, stuffed chillis, gorditas de papa, or anything without red meat or fish or chicken
Love you Julia! I’m glad you guys had an awesome time here in Mexico. Hope to get to meet you guys on your next trip here to CDMX. And by the way we do wash our vegetables 😂😂
I’ve been to mexico and I can honestly say it was the best experience in my life! Loved this video can you do more like this and just eat English food etc 🤩
Bugs are prehispanic food, this is backed up by anthropologists and one of the preserved "codices" that basically listed shy under 100 insects that were commonly eaten by mesoamericans, but that said it's not really that common throught mexico just certain regions do consume them. Nowadays a lot of restaurants are bringing it back as a novelty.
I love mexico because everything so less expensive than the US. (i know because its mexico but still). The living is great something you wouldn't expect. People are so friendly you just want to be around everyone. COME to Merida Yucatan Mexico.
I feel JP's plight. I can and do do (haha, poopy) spice/heat but I sweat like he does. Sometimes even just heavy pepper can make my brow bead up. I love my habanero hot sauces but make sure I have a towel to catch the perspiration! I like JP's attitude that he accepts how his body handles heat but isn't afraid of testing his mettle. I think you guys are the leading culinary power couple on any platform. Keep up the great videos!
How come we don't know that he hasn't done so already? Maybe he just didn't want to share that with us. This is his job what he does with Julia. His mom is apart of his personal life.😒
Most of the really good food is found on local or street stands but you need yo find the good ones firts so just see if alot of people are there. Mole has so many flavors and alot of them even are made with more than 10 ingridients squash to make paste which is then used to make mole. So the real food is made by local indians or families. Btw as many said here its mes de semana santa which means alot of fish foods will be served since its a catholic thing so you will fine alot of those foods being served.

Hey guys! Love your show! I am currently living in Queretaro which isn't too far form Mexico City! You also have to remember some items in Mexico have different bacteria than foods in the US. An example is water, that will completely mess up a tourists stomach, but people who grew up with that water won't get affected.
The first time I went to Mexico I ate so many tortas which had lettuce. And I did not get sick so it really just depends on the person‘s stomach

They were rude throughout the video. Why go to mexico to get the real food but then compare it ti taco bell.
I know it’s really racist
Yeah I'm a regular viewer and from Mexico and this made me upset specifically how she just assumed they don't clean vegetables.
