derpyderpchar don’t consider yourself mexican then. smh
South of Mexico. Not US. We have differently styled tamales, sopes, and quesadillas.
derpyderpchar yeah same, more northern Mexican food is completely different too
I am from the north of Mexico and I also havent tried half of those things.
Its amazing how all of those dishes are basically the same ingridients but a creative presentation makes up an entirely new dish.
@@johnm1187 just bc you live in another country doesn't mean your ethnicity (Mexican) doesn't exist lol
Nachos do exist in Mexico just not in abundance, you have to search for certain spots when you're there
I loved that you choose to live the authentic experience of Mexican food!
1:20 lmao CHoRIzO
😂😂 My grandma laughed so hard and said
omg este chico blanco gracioso
There’s no “masa” in pozole. 😂
I think she meant macisa
Masa?! Lol how could someone mess that up so bad?
i think he meant "maiz"
Yeah, it's called hominy in English. I'm such a bad Mexican tho! I can't wait remember, or at least not sure, what it's called in Spanish ToT

4:18 That's a pambazo. I fell in love with them the first time I ate one. The bread was light and fluffy but because it was fried, it was also crispy as well. The thing that I think Americans don't realize about Mexican food is that salsa is used way more than they realize.

Both have their purpose. Some times you want authentic Mexican food and sometimes you want Taco Bell.
I never WANT Taco Bell... I only eat it is I'm on the road, and it is all I can find. Living in Texas, I have so many options for Mexican and Tex/Mex food, I never have to eat Taco Bell when I am home.
Glenn Zanotti
So you eat it on the road and when you can’t find anything? Like I said, Taco Bell has a purpose.
I eat Taco bc it's just better when ur high. And Baja Blast. Nothing wrong with both.
Sometimes you want taco bell....ohh sir, you are sick!!!
@@cmnweb : you are seriously going to insult someone because their culinary preferences differ from yours? Really...?

Authentic Mexican food isn't just "better", it's mostly different. You can easily love both and enjoy both.
Right? Taco Bell is amazing when you're broke and high.
Eh, taco bell is perfect for stoners. I personally wish America and my home state had more access to genuine Mexican food. I ain't afraid of spices and I'm eager to try any food that looks good.
Authentic mexican food is better, the Taco Bell is a insult for our gastronomy, thats the reason because mexican food is better.
@@blackbeast8571 Taco Bell is delicious and cheap. I love, eat, buy and cook authentic Mexican food but when I want a Cheesy Gordita Crunch or a Doritos Locos Taco, I go to Taco Bell. It's different cuisine.

There are actually "Mexican pizzas in Mexico" and they are not sopes. I'm glad to see you were so invested in learning and trying new things, love it!
Burritos are Mexican, but they are from northern Mexico, originally from Chihuahua.
For empanadas try Pastes in Hidalgo, they are a local delicacy, there are sweet and salty pastes.

Jorge Hernandez agreed bro
The Mexican equivalent of a Pizza has to be this traditional Oaxacan dish called a “Tlayuda”.
Its basically a big hard tortilla, smeared in refried beans topped with cecina (a type of meat), lettuce, avocado, tomato and traditional oaxacan cheese.
8:41 calibre 50 in the backround
The difference is you never compare Mexican food with Taco Bell
100% true
Mad much. If anything they were just seeing if they could find taco bell products but as authentic mexican food.
They do it for clickbait purposes and to be stereotypical and "funny".

-" D: what the heck is that thing"By the way, NACHOS are a real thing in Mexico, but... not so popular? i mean of course everyone knows them and has eaten them, but they are usually somo sort of "botana" in bars, or, the equivalent to chicken wings and beer here would be Nachos and beer (not in the whole country) or they are sold in some mexican restaruants, they are server NOT with beans or anything like that, but with "arrachera" (is a type of meat) Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, cheese, chillies, and as i sadi before, a good Mexican beer, cheers ;)
AAAAAAAAND... chilaquiles are supposed to be cooked with the sauce so they are soft and spicy, they come with eggs or chicken and cheese an some beans, crema -idk the translation for that- and some onions on it.

Los totopos con
Exactly, here in Guadalajara we call them “totopos” and are served before the main course in some restaurants. But, they are almost never served as a dish, we eat them with guacamole, salsa or other things but never in the same plate. Some places have totopos as a snack that you don’t have to pay for.
