I miss these old tutorials. This Tim Burton look has been my all-time favorite! It's been a while since I did my makeup so complex. Blame the humidity where I live...
Came here after seeing "Watching my old videos", I suddenly remembered this was my favorite, a transformative video for me in my post-goth years. I saw that I could keep some of my goth-ness and love of black, but add a subtle hint of color
Came here after her most recent video and she's now In a cult and being weird as hell. :( So I needed some good ol Michelle.. I grew up watching all her videos
I used to watch Michelle Phan videos to help me fall asleep, her voice is so soothing, and her music selection has always been impeccable. This video has always been my favorite.
Michelle Phan's old videos were the best...it became too commercialized recently though - hopefully it will get back to this style if/when she comes back
Ahh, I'm a HUGE fan of Tim Burton and his art style, and I love your makeup inspired look! Btw, I loved "Still Doll" even before I knew it was from 'Vampire Night' haha~ Kanon Wakeshima's music is so beautiful~
I'm in love with this tutorial, it's the first Michelle Phan video I saw and I instantly became her fan... this look is just amazing, I still don't have the courage to try it, I don't wanna ruin it :3
I remember watching this video over and over when I was 13 6 years ago! This brings back sooo many memories! Michelle was my biggest makeup hero back than..
*didn’t set her eye base, she went straight in with the eyeshadow *didn’t immediately try to blend eyeshadows, she packed on the colour first *very smart about using tissue under the eye to prevent fall out *lightly/naturally filled her brows *smudged/blended her pencil liner … This girl was waaaaaay ahead of her time with the makeup hacks and trends 🤩🤩🤩
Sometimes when women put on foundation and concealer and all that, you can see it caked on their skin. like they painted their skin on and you can see pores and caked on make up. How do you avoid looking like that when you put your make up on?
I think she said in one of her videos, that if you take a clean make-up sponge and put a little water on it. Then lightly pat where you think it looks a little caked on it helps. (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜
I remember learning everything I know about make-up from our girl Mish since about 2008. I loved this look then, when I was 12, and still do at 21! She really is the best teacher, even now I think. She taught me way back then that your natural beauty is always your best look, and however you enhance it should be fun, an expression of yourself that makes you feel happy and beautiful. All those little tricks she taught me I still use every day! ♥️ thanks again Mama Phan bless 👏
with these simple looks...how is she even able to get that many views in all honesty...she doesnt have as much talent as certain individuals... i still like some of her looks... but i honesty cant understand how she got so popular for having this..
Karrie Burton Hi there ^^ if you are already pale then you can just use your regular foundation that matches your skin tone. However, there is a small trick in our makeup artist world is that if you want to look even paler, mix your foundation with crushed white eyeshadow ^^. Hope this helps and excuse me for my bad English :D
This is my beyond favorite makeup tutorial ever !!! No joke ! Idk why but its so inspiring and everything about this video is empowering to be who you wanna be ! !! I appreciate it more than you could ever understand . Thank you ! !! !!!
I've seen this sooooo many times. love Michelle's oldish costume/creative looks. Too bad she doesn't do thus stuff as much anymore. I looove her nails in this video!!
October 2018 and still one of my favorite makeup looks and videos in general. ♡ thanks for continuing to inspire Michelle, I hope you are enjoying being away from the youtube life ^u^
Let's talk about the fact that back in 2010 Michelle was already using the Brow Wiz by Anastasia which is everyone hyping right now
And in a 2009 video she was already using the laura mercier setting powder.

It's been a while since I did my makeup so complex. Blame the humidity where I live...
Ahead of her time I miss when TH-cam was like this actual content and hard work
it’s still hard work content creators put a lot of time into it 😊
Madhura Joshi Ik it was just simpler times
So ahead of her time, honestly can’t believe this is 10 years ago. This could be released today and still do so well!
Mish makes everything look easy. I tried this and I ended up looking like I got in a fight with Mike Tyson.
Literally same
Omg stop - I found this in my favourites videos. Can not believe this video is 10 years old!?? The quality of the content and the production - wow!
"You want to look as if you haven't seen the sun for ages" already done, don't need makeup for that
As a little girl, I really wanted to try that spray foundation and I loved her nails! I liked the vibe of the BGMs too
Came here after seeing "Watching my old videos", I suddenly remembered this was my favorite, a transformative video for me in my post-goth years. I saw that I could keep some of my goth-ness and love of black, but add a subtle hint of color
this was my favourite too :D
Came here after her most recent video and she's now In a cult and being weird as hell. :( So I needed some good ol Michelle.. I grew up watching all her videos

Michelle Phan's old videos were the best...it became too commercialized recently though - hopefully it will get back to this style if/when she comes back
Watching old Michelle Phan videos and becoming teary because she's come so far
This was the first video I saw of you. I watched it over and over and over again :')
The nostalgia hit me as soon I started watching I almost forgot how much I adored Michelle she’s always been a graceful gal :,,,-)
HER NAILS ARE AMAZING!!!!
Ahh, I'm a HUGE fan of Tim Burton and his art style, and I love your makeup inspired look! Btw, I loved "Still Doll" even before I knew it was from 'Vampire Night' haha~ Kanon Wakeshima's music is so beautiful~
I watched this video way before I started vampire knight, and am so excited to find its music on here!!!

I'm in love with this tutorial, it's the first Michelle Phan video I saw and I instantly became her fan... this look is just amazing, I still don't have the courage to try it, I don't wanna ruin it :3
Is it strange that I spend every morning religiously following an 11-year-old makeup tutorial?
I am absolutely in love with your nails
I USED TO BE OBSESSED WITH THIS LOOK
I love Tim burton and this make up
as soon as i heard the song i was like "helll yaass vampire knight!!!"
I love her nails in this! So gorgeous and original.
Ah you got to love Kanon Wakeshima's old music. :) I don't like her new stuff nearly as much since she changed the style.
my girl was using half lashes in 2010
Love the video just want to know why the introduction to Vampire Knight was used for a Tim burton tutorial
i absolutely love her old and new videos she started out being sweet and timid to feeling like she's one of your friends
This song sounds SO familiar! Wasn't this in the credits of "Vampire Knight"??
I have dark circles and trust me it looks better with it
+Fatima Mazen Huh....you're right! It seems more legit for a Tim Burton look
Me too. I look so weird when I use concealer around my circles.
+Drizzle Epoch same
If you have really dark circles using a correcting concelear first like a peach color can cancel out the darkness under your eyes.
Vampire Knight music!
I remember watching this video over and over when I was 13 6 years ago! This brings back sooo many memories! Michelle was my biggest makeup hero back than..
I love Tim Burtons movies especially The nightmare before Christmas and also Edward Scissorhands.

*didn’t set her eye base, she went straight in with the eyeshadow
*didn’t immediately try to blend eyeshadows, she packed on the colour first

*lightly/naturally filled her brows
*smudged/blended her pencil liner

"His works are light-hearted and romantic, with a gothic style"Like Sweeney Todd, right?
Loved it
I always come back to this video, it was the one that introduced me to Wakeshima more than 6 years ago now, ahhh 😭 I'm forever thankful.💚
What the devil? I am the second lightest shade for my favourite brand.
vampire knight's ending song!
What if you are so pale you can't find makeup that's even one shade lighter than your natural skintone?
put your shade on and then dust baby powder over it.
howtopasstime Thank you for the tip. I'll try that sometime.
ben nye clown makeup lol
I used to wear this look daily when I was a freshman in high school. This takes me back.
Vampire Knight 😏
with these simple looks...how is she even able to get that many views in all honesty...she doesnt have as much talent as certain individuals... i still like some of her looks... but i honesty cant understand how she got so popular for having this..
There are a lot of other factors to being popular other than talent
maybe its because people like that its simple, so its easier to copy :)
If you're already pale can u just use your regular foundation? I'm kind of broke af too so either way I'm using my current foundation
Karrie Burton Hi there ^^ if you are already pale then you can just use your regular foundation that matches your skin tone. Karrie Burton Most likely you can if you're already that pale.

Omg 10 years later and she still slays. I remember doing this make up on myself when I was 14 hahaha. Where did she do her nails though?
