I just got a 1200 XC on Saturday, not one of these neutered "X" bikes without Ohlins and Brembo's, cheaper paint, cheaper screen, no cruise control, lost fork adjustability, etc. They took a lot more out of it than the price difference, that's for sure. That said I'm 6' 1" tall, and even on the XC, I can't flat foot the bike from in the saddle, so the "X" should fit most people a little better. Not sure if they mean the XE to be ridden by giraffes or what? Lol. Glad I snagged an XC before they were gone, it was the most premium street-able option IMHO. Love how the motor pulls from 2,000 rpm in 6th gear even. It acts like it's trying to lift the front end!
I have owned R1200GSA/R1250GSA, Tenere 1200, Hypermotard 1100, ZX9R, etc. My favorite engine/transmission was a Triumph 1200XC. The keyless Fob and electronics were not top tier but I loved riding that motorcycle. I sold it before I moved from Nevada to NC… but I am thinking about buying the X.
I've bought a X and I'm dead chuffed with it. I've never had a bike with CC and don't miss it or feel I need it but I agree, omitting it on a more road focused version of the Scrambler is counter intuitive, especially on a ride-by-wire machine where including it would be easy with minimal cost.
That's not an adventure bike - it's a street bike trying to look a bit like an adventure bike. No way in hell would I be taking that on a BDR ride or any serious off-road.
If you have or have had a Street Scrambler 900, really liked it but sometimes wished it had a bit more power then the X is for you. That's what I have done and loving it so far. 👍
Hi I want to buy the 1200 x and wondering if the heat issue is solved by moving the CAT back. you see i live in delhi and it gets very warm there. have you tested this bike in warm weather? your infor will help me since we dont get to test ride these bigger bikes in India
It’s good that you have Ryan using a lavalier mic but it would be nice if you killed the mic in the video camera because it picks up all the ambient noise (a generator?).
They actually had some mic issues and we had to use an iPhone on the seat of one of the bikes! Considering the situation, it didn't end up too bad thanks to the guys on the ground and our editors.
Who u tellin. I’m my area the previous models can be had for 10-13k. Better value in my book with all the down grades to both models. Especially to the X compared to last years XC
People have been bashing this beautiful bike non stop for 5 years. It's the best Bonneville ever made if you know how to ride and can afford to buy a motorcycle that is simply brilliant. They spec'd it down to lower the cost year over year because people complained. I have ridden the hell out of this bike at a paved race track all day and rode it off road in Mojave the next week with the same tires. No bike is perfect for everyone's budget or needs. But the best scrambler ever made isn't cheap. Why would it be?
@@charlesbozonier5713 have experience in heat issue, riding in hot weather? is that problem gone by pushing the CAT back? i live in Delhi and gets very warm here

Thanks. Good description covering the differences. TBH, I think that cruise control should be an option an any "throttle by wire" motorcycle, though.

So on the more road focused bike, you don’t get cruise control? Make that make sense, Triumph.

I’ve always loved the style of these bikes
Best looking adventure bike of the moment! not the best off road but for sure the most beautiful

@@SDTriathlete street bike with 45mm forks, 250MM suspension travel and 9.8inch ground clearance? That's weird
If pigfat Broncos and Wranglers can do a BDR, so can this bike.
The suspensions are completely changed on the XE, yet I can't find a single review talking about how it feels compared to the 2023 version...

loved the review sir
Minutes 7:14 on the 1200XE looks terrible. Why did they replace Ohlin's absorbers with that one?
I thought so as well... Maybe they just aren't adjusted to the right weight?

just picked up the Steve McQueen edition, looking for November temps before riding
Great lookn bikes

Thanks for explaining what happened. I just wanted to chip in case you didn't notice the ambient noise. Good stuff!
Cost cutting on the display and brakes hurt the desirability of the bike 😮
I feel like someone gave you a 5 minutes heads up to do this review.
That's how it goes at press launches. Jump off the bike, tell the camera what you think!
Then you only needed a 5’ video bro. You only talked spec shit. Waste of time
It seems a little backward with the cruise control being on the more off road bike and not on the more street road biased bike.
Looks like a good time, but $15,300 really means about $17k out the door after fees and taxes. That’s a lot of jack for a poor man!

Exactly. It's the reason I didn't get one. Couldn't find any used in my area either. Ended up with a barely used FTR for a nice price.
Yes and definitely too big and heavy for off-road use other than unpaved roads.

I really want the XE
Yes. You do.
If you aren't short or going hardcore off-road, buy the XC. I feel like buying a second one.
There is no XC anymore 😂
So let us hear the bike 😢
Sorry but that is a poorly constructed review mate.
As always if your shorter leg youncan5 ride these bikes
Can you even ride?😂
So about $15k is now what we pay for "a nice" bike? Yow....
You’re jumping back and forth, maybe focus on bike, and then jump the other bike.
On april fools?
Okay..
Spendeeeee. Yikes. My Bonnie was 10k
So was my 22 XE when I got it used this summer. It was fresh and ready. They can be found for $8500-11k. Worth every penny
