@@adventureundone It's funny you say that, my dealer states that they have a 23' XE but after looking at it, it's actually the XC, I'm gonna try to beat them out of that one, I'm not super tall so it'll suit my needs better anyways, Cheers..
Downgraded Suspension, Downgraded Brakes, Smaller Fuel Tank... Can't help but wonder what else Triumph downgraded or cut costs on that we dont know about.
@@marcoluoma3770 engine wise is better but suspension and brakes are a massive downgrade. Being more precise the rear break on the XE is a nisin , on the X both front and rear are nisin . Furthermore, on both models the rear suspension is no longer ohlins. Don’t get me wrong as far as suspension goes there are better options for off-road than ohlins , in the end it is a good product but the previous one was a lot more premium.
Numbers quoted were actual dyno figures. Excellent performance for the intended use of the bike. Bags of torque low down where it is most useful. Ride one and you will enjoy it.
Thanks for the thorough review. I got a lot out of it. I have one of these bikes on order. Would you recommend upgrading the front forks and the rear brakes, and is that practically possible? Happy Trails!
Great review! Really detailed on the changes and ride feel for the new model. I've heard the throttle body change (and i think tighter header pipes) leads to a punchier riding experience, do you know if the new throttle body fits the old 2019 model (For an easy performance boost)?
Question about brake fluids in bicycles so my brakes can go in dot 4 and dot 5.1, but I don't know which one is inside now .Can I mix the dot 4 and 5.1 or how can I check which one is in
Dot 4 & Dot 5.1 are both compatible fluids with each other... you'd have to take a sample to a scientist for testing of boiling points! brake fluid is hydroscopic... it changes boiling points based on how much water content it contains... thats why we change it out periodically... and always use from a sealed container / & fresher is better ☮
Triumph should have had you guys go through fish creek. Maybe too much shade for good filming, but such a beautiful place out there. Looks like a great do it all bike! I dont mind the lack of a quick shifter, I'm older and half the time dont use them anyway (muscle memory). Is it a bolt on mod to put a scotts damper on?
The X is downgraded but the instrument fits the classical style of the Triumph Scrambler. I am not a fan of the instrument of the XE and I have a 2022 XE. The joystick on both the XE and the X is a joke. On my older 2019 XC that thing eventually wore out. On a positive side the parts were not as expensive as parts from a BMW for example and the change looked straight forward. If you drive the bike mostly on the street the suspension on both is enough, though the Oehlins suspension in the back is nice. A fun and versatile mororcycle and I got the XE, a 900SS, and the 400X as Triumph made me believe in their Scramblers… eventually I will add a TR6C too 😜
73 HP & 60 ft/t. ????? They dropped the power WHY ??? 89HP & 81 ft/t was great. Glad I got the 2022 XC with all the quality options and all the power. I wouldn’t buy these lesser quality bikes. I rather pay another $1000 or $2000 have have quality components. People will squander $2000 on nothing every year, so they shouldn’t complain when it’s going towards something they can touch and especially enjoy. Like a prostitute 😂😂😂😂 I AM KIDDING, I’M JUST KIDDING. 😂😂😂😂 Just buy the bike and enjoy! I love mine so much I won’t take it off road. It’s more because I don’t like cleaning it, and rather ride it.
Those are wheel horsepower and torque numbers, not engine numbers. Manufacturers always market engine numbers, but bikes (and cars) lose power through the drivetrain. So even the pre-2024 engines have the same power figures.
The new BMW GS1300 doesn't ever have any head shake, and it's more powerful, smoother running, way faster and better handling than this poser of a desert sled.
It‘s a COMPLETELY different type of bike. The appropriate comparison in the Triumph range would be the TIGER 1200 series which is a superior bike to the hugely overrated BMW. If you want to throw the word poser around then look no further than the GS.
Love my XE. Bought the 2023 model just before the 2024 models came out 💪
My dealer has both the 23 and 24, thanks to this video and your comment, I'm going with the 23!
Did the same, but with an XC

I picked up my new XE a couple weeks ago, and love it.

Might be the first reviewer to point out the fork diameter change
but, he missed the throttle body change...(-;

I remember xe used to come with heated grips as well
Nice review! One of the best bikes I have ridden.
Thanks for the video! I didn't know about the rear brake piston : ( that's a shame.
I get the cost argument for including a QS, adam, but i love more control. QS should always be a dealer option and turns shifting into a video game
What is the seat height of this motorcycle
They downgraded everything that is why it’s cheaper. The X is even bigger downgrade than the previous XC (my favorite from the line).
“Downgraded everything” is a little hyperbolic. You may want to try for more precise language.

Agree, so I picked up a 23’ for a deal 👍
@@marcoluoma3770it’s not, you’re just overthinking it.
Are the HP/TQ specs off here? My ears perked up when I heard Adam say lower-than-expected figures. I think triumph quotes 89hp/81ft-lb
yea....for a 1200 that's pretty anemic.
I need to see that thing on the dyno.
I’m sure triumphs numbers are at the crank. Most manufacturers do that

He actually says it's at the tire
Anyone know if the new Marzocci suspension feels better off road than the showa/ohlins? I have a 2022 and it's simply not good off road.
