I've installed a similar radio in my golf VI 2011 and couldn't for the life of me figure out why it wouldn't turn off when I turned off the car. You gave me the answer I've spent days scouring the internet for! Can't wait to unplug it tomorrow and see if it fixes my issue!
Would a original screen for mk6 fit for the one that doesn’t have the screen??? Genuine question my golf needs a screen aswell just debating wether to get this or the original vw screen
I recently bought a import golf r that came with that radio but the only thing that seems to work is the bluetooth and controls at the wheel, I have a reverse camera that doesn't work either, any idea what the problem could be?
Did you have to do anything in the setting for the steering wheel controls to work ive got same car same stereo Ann plugged in same but no steering wheel controls working
@@robertmulligan5417 Yes i changed the fuse and it works now but have another issue, sound quality is not good, No bass, even orignal have better sound if i compare, Can you help me to fix issue ?

I installed a similar system and now my obd2 port gets no connection lmk if u have the same issue go to auto zone and see if they can run ur codes

These stereos dont have an inbuilt dsp. I bought one from ali express for 20 pounds plugged it in and it fixed all issues

I have front and back parking sensors which show the display on the stock stereo, will this show on the new stereo ?

Yes, our Volkswagen systems all come with a Canbus allowing steering wheel functionality.

I was trying to install same stereo but power is gone, now the its not working even the older one is not working, I have sams stereo and 2008 tdi golf
I’ve heard of this happening when my mate tried to install a single din a couple years back. You might just have a blown fuse.

Yes there is an adapter for factory rear view camera. Not sure if is purchased separately

Yes, you just have to ensure you unplug the black clip on the harness!
