You've done a right thing by giving a wrong answer for 911 square.. This bought up many viewers to make out the right answer USING YOUR METHOD. improves the understandability and Application Ability.
damn, now I understand how the Mathemagician Arthur Benjamin does those monstrous five-digit number multiplications in his grand finales of his shows! :O
I've read about him. He uses a system where he replaces sets of numbers with different words and then later replaces the words with the numbers when he needs. So for example, he might replace 123456789 as this... 123 = cat 456 = dog 789 = can. He basically just does the math normally but instead of remembering the numbers he remembers sequences of letters and then does it the long way. This is a common memorization technique. It is similar to that of what is used to solve rubik's cubes blindfolded.
The answer for the last example : x=9, y= 11 is wrong. The square of 911 is 829921. The person has wrongly written 899921. His approach is correct though.
To find 2 digit number like eg 98 STEP 1 do square of 9 that is = 81 STEP 2 and do square of 8 that is = 64 therfore this happens 8164 and now multiply that two digits 9×8 =72 and multiply by 2 again that is =144 Now 8164 +144 = 9604
I have seen many video for square of three digits but no one was satisfying but this was really awesome. I understand every word and I myself tried many sums. It is like universal for me everytime
Since you have to use pen and paper for these anyway, you might as well use the proper 3-digit formula instead and be less mistake-prone: (a + b + c)² = a² + b² + c² + 2ab + 2ac + 2bc
Wait, if you use this trick, won’t you get the same answer with (206^2) and (276^2)? 206: (2^2)__(6^2): 4__36 2*6*2=24 41236 276: (2^2)__(6^2) 4__36 2*6*2=24 41236 If someone can explain this to me, it would be much appreciated, thanks!
You can use a^2 = (a + b) * (a - b) + b^2 and pick b such that a+b or a-b is a multiple of 100, so b = 13: 787^2 = 774 * 800 + 13^2 = 619200 + 169 = 619369
In the last example of squaring 911 the answer will be 829921 as 81+1(from 198) will be 82..// please consider this..// and sorry to say its not the calculation fault..// It just happens..// The method is quite interesting and valuable..// thnxxx for the share..// keep up :)
Surely, a useful application of the square identity! With ample practice, one can have a grip on it. Just a little point - At the end, the answer to 911x911 was incorrectly written as 899921 while it should have been 829,921. Needless to say, the error must have been committed inadvertently by the presenter.
wrong method, not applicable for all three digit number. ex-236, 329 etc. correct method is that you should divide the 3-digit number in two parts like 236-23/6 and then follow the method in the video, the answer will be correct.
It's going good. There's Wi-fi now around here and I learned a bit more english. That Shakespeare fellow sure know his english! Too bad he's drunk all the time now
Hmm..... your trick is quite impressive for nos. in the form of ( x 0 y i.e., a no. containing 0 in b/w). But it becomes very tedious for the nos. like which contains a large no. in the last 2 digits eg. 894, 189, 156 etc!
Vivek Kumar Sinha Hi Vivek, Thanks for your comment. Yes, each method has its limitation. When you reach that limitation, you can get approximate answer. Approximation is good enough for multiple choice question in competition exam or daily calculations in grocery store. I do not calculate exact amount in grocery store as approximate number is enough for me. For example 894 x 894 = (900-6) x (900-6). A rough approximation will be 900 x 900 = 810,000 If we want to put more effort it is 810,000-10,800 ~ 800,000. Lets put more effort and it is 810,000-10,800 = 799200 Accurate answer 810,000-10,800 + 36 = 799236 You can calculate that in Mind if you practice.
None of this works for any number of 100 - 199. You have to take the 1 and make it 10 then add the number in the middle. So 108. 10 16 64 then you take the 1 of 16 and add it to the 10 so it becomes 11,664.
for 825 its very simple..multiply 25 its 625 and now find square of 8 I.e 64 and add half of 8 I.e 4 to 64 now its become 68 ...now answer is 680625...note if starting number is even place 0 after and if that is odd number place 5 ... for eg 725X725 ...25 SQUARE IS 625 NOW CALCULATE SQUARE OF 7 (49) AND ADD HALF OF 7 THAT IS 3.5 SO ADD ONLY 3 NOW ITS 52 ..NOW SQUARE OF 725 IS 525625....SAME METHID JUST FOR EVEN PLACE 0 AND FORR ODD PLACE 5
where did you get the 2 when you said to multiply again by 2 was it from the ;square number or is the just a step in the process that i am always going to use if i use this method?
It is from the classic BASIC school math formula ( a + b )2 = a2 + 2ab + b2 that is a plus b square equals a square plus 2 x a x b plus b square Soooo SIMPLE ! :)
I tried to apply this technique for bigger 3 digit numbers, I tried 784 84^2=7056. Last two digits are 56 and 7 X 84 X 2= 448. 7^2=49 I get 49 (4)48 (70)56 If I add all these I get 641156 but the answer is 614656. Kindly tag me and show me where did I make mistakes?
I want to ask you that which is the application used by you in PC for Maths Input with pen. can you please tell me this will be very helpful for me because I need that application for my laptop. please tell me the name
Maisie Johnson don't do 204 and 214 squares in same manner. it is clearly shown, 204 should be done in 206 way, and 214 in 825 square way but not as 204 square..got it
hey I am weak in maths that's by I don't understood what u do algebra at last in video. if you can help me in any way to improve mathematics then please do.
Hi, can someone please tell me where I am going wrong with 218^2 please 2x2=4 18x18=324 40024 (carry the 3) 2x18x2=64 46724 (Which is incorrect) Actual answer is 47524
there is the mistake in the last value that is
x=9
y=11
the answer should be 829921
Thanks Bagwan. Please apna asshirwaad banaye rakhe. :)
I was about to write but just saw your reply, amazing
I too got the same doubt...😂
Sundar Rajan I was confused because when I did it I got what you got
Sundar Rajan yes you are right
I think your method does not work for many numbers
Yes u r right
Yes not for 102 at least (the number I tried)
Holy crap that is the simplest math trick ever. & easy to remember. thx!
You've done a right thing by giving a wrong answer for 911 square..
This bought up many viewers to make out the right answer
USING YOUR METHOD.
improves the understandability and Application Ability.
Correct Rahul. You are the one of few who understand this was done on purpose.

oh i think you have a sense to judge a guy.....
Please give me a answer for power number of 177
sir last wale question MN it should be 829921..... not 899921 ...... but really thank you beautifully explained .. decent approach

damn, now I understand how the Mathemagician Arthur Benjamin does those monstrous five-digit number multiplications in his grand finales of his shows! :O
+Matthias Köhler (MattK269) He is Awesome!
+Matthias Köhler (MattK269) he doesnt use this believe me

cool
Matthias Köhler this method is from vedic maths..check out the methods for subtraction multiplication and addition
Absolutely useful method, it looks like solving binomial expansion of the 2nd power
(a + b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2
but great idea, thank you posting :)
wish the founders of this technology of calculation to get more simple ways. thanks a lot, this way is helpful.
the important thing to know is for what kind of numbers the rule is changing. for e.g. the method changed for " 825 " from " 206 & 409 ".
The answer for the last example : x=9, y= 11 is wrong. The square of 911 is 829921. The person has wrongly written 899921. His approach is correct though.
To find 2 digit number like eg 98 STEP 1 do square of 9 that is = 81 STEP 2 and do square of 8 that is = 64 therfore this happens 8164 and now multiply that two digits 9×8 =72 and multiply by 2 again that is =144
Now 8164
+144
= 9604
Sir,
how to solve linear equations quickly ..
please make a video on that .
when coefficient appears big it becomes very hectic ...
The answer to 911 squared = 829921 and not 899921 as shown in the video. Please rectify. Incidentally the working was spot on!
I have seen many video for square of three digits but no one was satisfying but this was really awesome. I understand every word and I myself tried many sums. It is like universal for me everytime
Since you have to use pen and paper for these anyway, you might as well use the proper 3-digit formula instead and be less mistake-prone:
(a + b + c)² = a² + b² + c² + 2ab + 2ac + 2bc
Square any three digit number in Mind
45 x 45 = 2025 (20 carryover)
2 x 45 x 2=270 (2 carryover)
3x3=9
9+2 (carryover) =11
70+20 (carryover) = 90
119025 = answer
Garg University 777*777=????
Sourav Kabiraj
77*77=5929( 59 carryover)
7*77*2=1078(10 carryover)
7*7=49
78+59=137( 1 carryover)
49+10+1=60
603729 is the answer
.
Garg University hey it doesn't work for every no. (ex. 329) u r just fooling everyone with this trick
Is that not the square rules that you showed? (100x+y)^2
Not perfect
This is a common algebraic identity (x+y) ^2 = (x^2) + 2(x × y) + (y^2)
Check ur answer for x=9, y=11. You said 899921, but in ur method it should be 829921
then what is the square of 121 and what is the thick for this case
Vaani Mehrotra you can apply same method as shown in video
Ankit Kumar you cant
xXSavaXx why
i did it and you can apply the same method, if the first number is only 1 digit you don't add the numbers up to the front
bull shit
Wait, if you use this trick, won’t you get the same answer with (206^2) and (276^2)?
206: (2^2)__(6^2):
4__36
2*6*2=24
41236
276: (2^2)__(6^2)
4__36
2*6*2=24
41236
If someone can explain this to me, it would be much appreciated, thanks!
or (xy)^2 = x^2+y^2 +2xy easy for 2 digits where 87^2= 80^2 + 7^2 +2(80x7)=6400+49+1120=7569, for 3 digits.. 105^2 = 100^2+ 5^2+2(100x5)= 10000+25+1000=11025..
Still big numbers like 787 cant be squared easily as we will have to square 87 first which makes it still long!
You can use a^2 = (a + b) * (a - b) + b^2 and pick b such that a+b or a-b is a multiple of 100, so b = 13: 787^2 = 774 * 800 + 13^2 = 619200 + 169 = 619369
simply ending with 5 eg . 95square is 5sq is (25) and 9 into the next digit is 10 so 9*10 is (90) answer.(9025)
not 899921
correct answer is 829921 at last 10secs video
u r right
samantha Reddy - He must have done by mistake. Better be thankful for wat he has taught.
samantha Reddy f**k u
I love
752^2.
the 2nd step of it involves 52*52=2704..what to write in the answer?704 or just 04?.
Always last two digits. 04 in this case.
In the last example of squaring 911 the answer will be 829921 as 81+1(from 198) will be 82..//
please consider this..// and sorry to say its not the calculation fault..// It just happens..// The method is quite interesting and valuable..//
thnxxx for the share..// keep up :)
I have no words to say for this awesome trick.
Thanks a lot sir....😀😀😀😀
Surely, a useful application of the square identity! With ample practice, one can have a grip on it. YOu made mistake...9^2=81 11^2=121 (carry 1)2*9*11=198(carry 1)
Now answer will be: 829921
How do we know on forehand whether we are dealing with an imperfect or perfect square?
sir last wala jo apne kiya 911 ka square usme to 1+81 =82 not 89 apne vaha 899921 bola par wo add kar ke 829921 hoga
very useful in competitive exams.
I myself feel happy.
How will we do if the number is 456 so for that we should know the square of 56 '......so do u have any tricks for that?
can u give a complete tutorial on all shortcut method for solvingmathematic aptitude in one video or more than
Please check my channel. I have all tricks in one video
Sir , How to calculate 186^2 = ? and 142^2 = ?
hi it's very simple please provide some extra shortcuts somebody already know this trics.
wrong method, not applicable for all three digit number. ex-236, 329 etc.
correct method is that you should divide the 3-digit number in two parts like 236-23/6 and then follow the method in the video, the answer will be correct.

really helpful but pls try posting videos regarding number series and pattern
you used my profile picture in your thumbnail. what the hell, man..

How can we square 94, 89, 56, so quickly?? So it means I gotta apply an another trick to square those 2 digits nos.!
Vivek Kumar Sinha Hi Vivek, Thanks for your comment. Yes, each method has its limitation.

You can calculate that in Mind if you practice.
Answer for the last example where u take x as 9 and y as 11, answer is829921
Correct your end part of video for 911^2. Answer is 829921, not 899921. A typo graphical mistake.
By the time you want to do all the calculation and add them up, just simply get the darn square
how are we supposed to find a square of numbers containing larger tens digits like 198.are we supposed to remember squares until 💯?
I learnt this in 10 standard. This is part of ''Vadic Mathematics''
Studied at cbse scl right
thank you sir, your explanation was lucid and fluent
(a+b) ² rule is used only neglecting the lower terms for factor a😕
Nice method. Beautiful application of (a+b)^2= a^2 + 2*a*b + b^2.
There is a mistake in the last value it is 829921 that is not 899921
Bhargava Raju exactly i also noticed it
next video is how to pee in 3 seconds
where did you get the 2 when you said to multiply again by 2 was it from the ;square number or is the just a step in the process that i am always going to use if i use this method?
It is a step. Middle two digits of final answer = 2 x First digit of number to be squared x last two digits of number to be squared.
It is from the classic BASIC school math formula ( a + b )2 = a2 + 2ab + b2
that is a plus b square equals a square plus 2 x a x b plus b square
Soooo SIMPLE ! :)
The answer of the last problem is wrongly quoted .. The Answer should be 829921.. what I think...
I tried to apply this technique for bigger 3 digit numbers, I tried 784
84^2=7056.
Last two digits are 56 and 7 X 84 X 2= 448.
7^2=49
I get 49 (4)48 (70)56
If I add all these I get 641156 but the answer is 614656.
Kindly tag me and show me where did I make mistakes?
7 X 84 X 2=1176
Yeah, sorry. I realise my mistake. Great technique .
Thanks for the share.
+Garg University Is there not any other method , as 84^2 is making it more complicated!
Hi, I am afraid that answer of your last example is wrong. It is 829921.
How do u find the square of 586,745,679??
This trick work some digits not every one
If we consider X32 - X99 where X varies from 1 to 9. This won't be possible.
By using ur first method can u calculate the square of 123....
Why 26^2 wether the last digit is 6 not 26 because he says the last digit not the last two digits. It does not work for 126.
How do you do ex. 320 squared? It ends with a zero, but muliplying by zero makes zero
You take a 20 square cos the middle no. Is non zero as seen in the video
Garg sir,, what will be the sqare of 524 in your formula
Very much good
Aapne last 2digit small use liye h..jo easily calculate ho jate.. Agr last digit bde ho to use kaise calculate krenge??
+Varsha Verma You may need to calculate the square of the last two digits. There are other methods that can be used to square two digit numbers.
The answer to 911^2 is incorrect. The correct answer is 829921.
how will we know that the trick is different for 409 and 825?
I want to ask you that which is the application used by you in PC for Maths Input with pen.
can you please tell me this will be very helpful for me because I need that application for my laptop.
please tell me the name
Paint
superb and very help ful to us thanks sir ...for short form
I'm CONFUSED where do the numbers come in at are you multiplying or adding or dividing or all thee above
this trick did not apply for 132. Can you tell me the range ???
Sir
If the square of 459,. My ans was 207281,, but it should be 210681... Its confusing me .how it is... And where i did wrong.. plz hlp
Good video
Where can I find your square root video
Guys 825sqaure = take last digit 5square is (25)then multiply 82 into the next digit 83 so 82*83=(6806) the answer is (680625)😉
But at the beginning .. If you don't use the middle number the answer would apparently be the same for 204,214,224,234,254,264,274,284,294 ....
Maisie Johnson don't do 204 and 214 squares in same manner. it is clearly shown, 204 should be done in 206 way, and 214 in 825 square way but not as 204 square..got it
+Unnamatla Roopesh
hi
sir plz upload videos on reasoning, sir can u plz tell me on which website i can find problems to solve ,& sir upload some videos on fast calculation
there is a descrepancy at 5:47s please recheck ,, totalling mistake .
why is it not applicable for 141.could u let me know how to find square of 141
Square the no 868 then 25 is easy to guess it will be 625 but in order to get square of 48 68 we have to use calculator
hey I am weak in maths that's by I don't understood what u do algebra at last in video. if you can help me in any way to improve mathematics then please do.
Awesome Tricks (y) Very helpful :D Thank You
when we take x=9 and y=11 then the number is 911 then the answer is 829921 not the 899921
naseem mirza so whats wrong?
Aashish Jayant
u write wrong answer in video,,,,,,,,so thats why i told u..............
Do it again I did it and got the right answer
i think in last answer is supposed to be 829921.!!?
if im not wrong
same
ya
Thanks for letting me know.
to find square for 996, how can someone remember 96^2 . that is difficult. If there is any trick for the same. pls help
garg university didn't tell us when there's a carry and when to notice there's a carry and why instead of 5 squared it was 5 to the power of 4
thank you thank you soo much. with this i figured out how square any two digit number also.
If we have to square 125 better is to take 12^2 and 5^2 and 12*5*2
I think you made a mistake with the last example my friend.. The answer should be 829921 instead of 899921. But very good video and nice proof.
your tricks do not work in 222, 201, 333, 444,401 700, plz clarify
Sir, I tried many times.. but can u please tell me how to take out..
243^2.. by this method.. it's difficult
2x2=4 3x3=9 2x3x2=12 which is 41209
Very nice and easy to Understand Sir... Thanks
how to find square of 255..im getting the answer 63025 but the actual answer is 65025
not all numbers can solve this trick? If not try this 685square what is the value?
wow cool
it can be solved.but it takes too much time.so you re right.we should try on another easier one
Hi, can someone please tell me where I am going wrong with 218^2 please
2x2=4
18x18=324
40024 (carry the 3)
2x18x2=64
46724 (Which is incorrect)
Actual answer is 47524
2x18x2 is 72 not 64
Thank you seen the glaringly obvious mistake and now feel like an idiot for not spotting it. Thank you :)
You wrote the kast answer wrong, that would be 829921 .
you are a genius to explain maths, thanks
*how to find (477777777.....7)^3 how to caluculate how many numbers r their after cubing*

nice work bro. will follow you religiously. thanks.
Bro by using this trick I am not getting the square of 328 and 181 can u say me the easiest trick plz plz plz.....
thank you sir....that was very easy and useful method.... thanks a lot
