Mic sounds great everywhere else. Also, the pulse is completely fine, my son my best friend and myself have them and it's just like talking on the phone..
The mic didn't sound that bad with GadgetryTech's review. It actually sounded fine and the AI noise cancelling worked impressively.
"Battery lasts longer than the rated 20 hours!" -- that's because they're rated for 30. IGN can't even read the box, huh.
Because in the box it says 20 but online it says 30. The Techne channel shows a detailed review about the headset and also you can see clear the box says 20 hours.
My first series are still bumping to this day. They had amazing bass though.

You said you have to use PS5 to listen to two sources at a time. But couldn't you connect the dongle to a PC and then also connect to your phone at the same time?
Yes. The dual connections are to the dongle and Bluetooth. The dongle can be connected to a PC instead of a PS5.
So can you play game audio and watch a TH-cam video on a laptop at the same time???
These headphones have been a dream to use especially for TLOU Part 1 and 2 when you can hear the EXACT location of a clicker and enemy.
On the Pulse first editions, there's a rocker to mix party chat audio and game audio. Is this now done away with?

Prefer Inzone H7/9, the cloth ear cups are lighter and more breathable than the leather ones in those Elite lineup

Yeah there is no way that audio clip of the mic was actually from this device. They just used an EQ filter and never did a proper test with direct audio from the headset.

It's not that bad actually. GadgetryTech did a better mic review of this headset and it sounds fine and the ai noise cancelling on it is impressive

Yes but it's designed to be put on first. Pulse elite on head, then the psvr2 on.

The ear cup coverings are already coming off my pulse headphones due to poor manufacturing methods. I'll have to use contact cement to glue them back on.
They're not even released yet bud. Unless you're talking about the many year old regular Pulse 3D then just buy replacement earpads for very cheap
Honestly after having them a few weeks the worst part is the build quality. Any movement of your head and the moving ear cups and mic beam make noise.

Compared to the original 3D pulse elites released 10 years ago, they are lacking.
They used to come with rumble for your head that went along with the bass. The sound quality itself was premium, not typical of a gaming headphones pair tbh.

bro, these are audeze designed planar drivers. your head is going to rumble. most gamers ain't never heard bass like this.
If these are anything like the Audeze Maxwell, if you eq the bass up, they can vibrate like crazy.

Never had an issue with dropped connections in years of use with my pulse. Sounds like yours is faulty.

Friend bought these, 3D audio was pretty poor imho, try them on your PS4 and you will hear the difference in quality

The elites are definitely a lot better feeling on your head compared to the regular 3Ds
Disappointed they removed the feature where you can hear your voice while wearing them like the normal Pulse along with the party chat vs game balance mixer.
It still has both of those features. Monitor, or hearing yourself is called sidetone now and it's it's Audio settings, party chat is available thru the sound settings or using the FN button if you have the edge controller

i‘m sending it back immediately. The mic is horrible and the overall
design is very flimsy. for the pricepoint it might be okay but invest 50€ more and you got yourself a waay better headset overall.
Just the like my thoughts on the elite controller this seems like it’s targeted to gamers with more disposable income I’ll stick with the standard pulse 3d headset
They don't seem as cool as the past Elite headphones, they had specific modes for some games like GTA V and The Last of us, and even had some rumble features.
