There was a cat in a nursing home that knew when someone was going to pass on. He was tested by the staff. He was put in a room with a patient the staff thought was going to pass. He refused to stay in the room. Next day that patient began to improve. This cat would go to a patient about 4 hours before they passed. It alerted the staff to what was about to happen. Family members asked to be called if the cat joined their family member. This cat made sure nobody passed on alone.

There was a case similar to that, where the cat 'knew' when a patient was about to pass but what it turned out to be was, the electric blanket dying people always put on near death.
Dying is apparently a very cold experience and Cat's just like electric blankets.

Animals often know before we do. Whether it is that they can hear a change in the body, smell that something is different, or recognize body language we don't pick up on, they know.
It may help that they don't communicate with words, but rather do most of theirs through posture and movement.

I have worked as a hospice nurse for many years. I have noticed that cats, or animals in general, are very smart and seem to have a sixth sense about people who are dying. I once took care of a lady at her house who had 6 cats. The patient was actively dying and was bed bound. All of the cats got in bed with her and surrounded her as she passed. They knew what was going on. She loved her cats and it was so special they were there for her.

While recovering from a heart attack I would eat breakfast in my yard and soak up the warmth of the sun...every day a little cat would visit, hang out with me and after breakfast and coffee would leave..just a stray cat wondering around the neighborhood...this continued for almost four months until winter..during the first snow fall I thought of my little friend and how cold she would be..I could not let freeze so out I went in the snow..she was shaking and very cold...as soon as she saw me she ran into the house to be my forever pet...

When he came in from his garden, my dad had a habit of coming into the living room through one door, weaving his way around the furniture, and going out through another door. The family cat adored him and used to follow him in and out. After he died, my mum described how the cat would sleep in his chair and sometimes, she'd suddenly wake up, lift her head and slowly turn it as if watching someone walk from one door, around the furniture, to the other door. I didn't believe it until I saw it myself on a visit home, but the really freaky thing was when my dogs joined in, all watching the same invisible thing moving across the room!

I’ve been experiencing auditory hallucinations since adolescence and my cats have always helped me discern whether I’m actually hearing something or not. If they don’t react, I can let it go. That being said, we’ve had some sounds such as voices down the hall when it’s just me and one cat in the house that they have verified for me. I trust their superior senses.

He went from a guy who didn't even sit next to us, to curling up beside me. He even climbed into my lap a couple of times. He has never done that before. It’s like he can sense my sad from across a house and just knows, and he just patiently loves on me lets me cry into his fur. We lost our sweet boy Pye over a year ago at age 19. It was devastating. He passed in my husband's arms. We both had dreams about him for quite awhile, and then I started feeling "something" jump on the bed exactly where he always used to, and lay down in the same spot he used to. A few times, I also would feel the pressure on my back where he used to lay 😂. I actually found it very comforting that he was there. Here's where it gets timely.
A few days ago, my husband had a dream that Pye wanted him to follow him, and led him to a gate. Pye walked in, and then a different colored cat came out. THE NEXT DAY, and a friend of ours asked if we felt ready to adopt a new cat, because she had a kitten that needed to be homed quickly. 😳😳 Obviously, our answer was YES. There is one very old fortress on the Eastern side of the pond while the Western side has woods and there's an old temple on the Northern side.
Usually my cat likes her strolls, she just walks like a dog encircling the entire pond but sometimes she would just desperately try to leave that place especially the area closer to the temple and the fort.

Both avoid it, as if they know she's sleeping in there. Either I'm completely mad (which is always possible), or the spirit world is very, very real.

@@Rocklvr76 my one year old tuxedo kitty shadow boxes with one of my passed on fur babies… I have had 3 pass here in this house and two I had to have euthanized at the vet's place… I have seen Prince Micheal several, times out of the corner of my eye. He passed in my arms while sleeping with me in my recliner. He was almost 20 years old. Bone cancer took him from me. Lil'bit, had a massive stroke out of nowhere one day. She was so tiny. Turned out that she had dwarfism. Never weighed more than 3lbs and looked like she was about 6-9 months old her entire life. She was 13 when she died which is VERY UNUSUAL for cats with dwarfism. Most of them don't live past the age of 4 or 5! I found Harry in the hall closet when he was 20. He had been bitten by a spider. Pretty sure it was a brown recluse that did it since there was a nasty hole on his shoulder. He had been missing for two days. His brother, Dusty was sitting in front of the cabinet meowing like mad when I came home from a doctor's appointment. I went and opened the door and there was Harry. He and Dusty Boy were littermates and had been together their entire lives. Poor kitty was so depressed… so, i went I search of someone for him to be able to connect with so he wouldn’t be lonely… I found LiLi and Loki at my local humane society and brought them home… they were 3 months old at the time. Dusty had been alone for almost 6 weeks and would hardly eat or drink anything. LiLi and Loki were just what he needed. They turned a depressed, grumpy old man-kitty into a happy "grandpa kitty." He loved those two little girls so much. He would groom them and play with them for hours. The. All three of them would curl up together in the little huts I made for them Out old t-shirts and the multitude of boxes I get from Amazon! He was just shy of 22 when he had to be laid to rest last month. He had become completely blind & deaf and when he became incontinent, that was when I knew it had to be done. I think he visits LiLi and Loki. I know Prince Michael does because I have seen him. Lil'bit and Dusty Boy were both grey. Hard to see grey in the shadows! Michael was a ginger kitty and Harry a grey tabby… I miss them but am thankful for the girls. They are a year old now. I hope I have many many many more years with them like my other fur babies….

My husband passed away due to cancer. After his passing, Joey would lay on the bed pointed towards his dads usual sleeping spot. He would stare at that spot, and talk!! Joey would stare at an area that his dad previously would hang out. His head tilted sideways!

I finally had to go to the doctor and get medication the grief was that bad. Anyway she was a torti Persian and the love of my life every night she slept with me on my pillow and would put her paw in my hand and that's how I would fall asleep listening to her purr. Months after her death and after I finally returned to my bed as I was sound asleep, I felt a familiar presence. I could hear her purring in my ear and felt her paw in my hand. I know it was her visiting me. I could even smell her scent and feel her fur. I woke up briefly and tears were running down my cheeks and she was gone, but for that one brief moment, I had my baby again. My Truffles had come back to visit me.

The big bang isnt necessarily the universe being created. We dont know what existed or if anything existed before the big bang. What we do know is that the universe is expanding, seemingly out from a single point. This could mean a number of things. It could be that all the matter in the universe was simply condensed, and then exploded outward. It could be that everything just started existing at that point. Why does anything exist? The answer to these questions seems quite unattainable at this time. Also, jon, id do a but more research into the definition of a scientific theory. A theory is a model, describing observations and evidence, not an unsubstantiated guess, or hypothesis.
The big bang theory is not the idea that the universe exploded into existence. Its the idea that the universe is expanding outward from a single point.

When I brought my girl, Callie, and her 4 (then) 7 week old babies inside because of an awful neighbor's threat, I was really surprised that the room she chose to "raise" them in was my old bedroom. Not because it was MY old room -- Callie and I had been friends for a few months by then -- but because I had always felt that my room had an "additional" occupant.
The house I grew up in was owned by my grandmother, and next door to her own house where my mom was actually born. She had purchased it a very long time ago for her mother, my great-grandmother, after my great-grandfather passed. When my great-grandmother eventually moved in with my grandmother, nearer the end of her own life, my grandmother rented the 2nd house out.
One of the people who had lived there was an elder lady who had been a teacher. There were many, many times growing up that I felt a 'presence'. Usually when I was asleep, it would feel like someone sitting on the edge of the bed. Never "dark" or malevolent, just THERE.
So, I was surprised, and then curious, when Callie chose to put her babies in that room to "hide" them. I don't know if the lady's spirit had moved on by then, or if Callie was okay with an unconventional babysitter.
10+ years later, and they still like that room. It still has all of my old stuff in it, and they've made quite a mess occasionally (so many things to get into when Mama isn't looking) by climbing up high or pushing stuff over so they can get up higher.
I guess I thought that they wouldn't like their spirit visitor, but she's never bothered them.

I recently had to put down my cat, at the vets cuz I wasn’t expecting it, I was just worried that my senior cat was sick. He reacted to the room With wide eyed looking around at the walls and ceiling, something he had never done before at the vets. After watching your video and also watching a Ted talks on the dying experiences I believe he was being visited by others who has died. Jackson, since Gord’s passing I continue to watch your videos and I find them comforting in my grief. Gord was my first cat and he was a good teacher, as you are. I initially intended to foster him but we both knew we were meant for each other, and your videos helped me communicate with him from the get go, especially the “cat I love you” . Thank you for being there. I hope to rescue another feline when it is the right time, and that’s why I keep researching with you how to be a better cat mommy.

I have proof. The day after my kitty passed I took a picture of the kiwi growing on the roof of my house. I took my camera in and uploaded the picture to my computer. In the picture was my kitty sleeping in amongst the kiwi leaves. I couldn't believe my eyes and ran back out to see for myself. She was no longer there. I don't even question when I feel a kitty jump up on my bed at night. I just say, "Hi Sweetheart." I had this sweet Siamese kitty for twenty years.

One of my cats acts like a brave little guard dog - growls at "danger", will stand on point to defend me from things he thinks are scary. There was a few weeks where he was constantly guarding me, and growling at the wall. We finally realised he was probably hearing/feeling some construction going on a few blocks up the street that we didn't notice while indoors, and was protecting me from whatever monster he thought it was. He's a good boy.

Both if my cats loved the camera treat dispenser. The orb often goes very close to the girl cat. A few times I caught her watching the orb as it moved on camera. I do think it’s the boy cat I had for 14 years. I miss him so much and it brings me comfort thinkkg he is still there watching over his sister !

This happened when my 14 year old Golden Retriever was dying from Cancer. A few hours before we took her to vet to be put down, our other two dogs laid with her out in the backyard. One was at the head and the other at the tail, embracing her. While my parents took her to the vet, it was raining and my brother and I felt so utterly dismal. After they came back, the rain had suddenly stopped and we all looked up to see a huge rainbow over our house. It was such a bittersweet thing to see. She left us and went to be with God. :)

His little furry spirit saved my life. I have no doubt. I caught my breath and just cried. He'll be waiting for me over there, but it wasn't my time. Yes, I totally believe cats and dogs can see the spirit realm, whether it's angels or demons.
I have had kitties see things that I couldn't see, but the creepiest was with our dog. Our Corgi saw something in our family room and barked like crazy, chasing it all over the room. She saw it go up to the ceiling by the fireplace, and barked like crazy. We prayed out loud and told the entity to LEAVE..."IN THE NAME OF JESUS", and instantly the dog stopped, settled down looked around a minute, laid down and then was fine.
There IS good and evil, God Almighty, and His enemy, Lucifer(satan). Angels are those who are from Heaven, and demons, who obey Satan. The occult world delves into this, which is forbidden by the Lord God of Heaven, our Creator.
Animals are attuned to this realm, and can see things we don't. But, knowing what's there, helps us pray accordingly, and we don't have to fear them. They HAVE to OBEY JESUS, and even The NAME of Jesus.

If it is loved ones that are around us all the time then they are used to their energy and wouldn’t necessarily be upset or unnerved. You know your cat and can tell what his mood is from it, or feel his emotions if you can. I could go on and on about this subject of animals and spirits. Love that you covered this topic! We brought Buddha home (in the picture w/me), he was the first cat my Dad saw and he said this is the one. A year later I had to move due to a job opportunity cross country. In 2016 my Dad got very ill quickly and while I was flying here to be with him he passed away. Buddha laid with me while I cried, slept with me every night and gave me a reason to get up every morning and I noticed something while I was cleaning out my parent’s house. Buddha would go to my Dad’s room, put his paws on the door and look up at the ceiling and meow, he did this a bunch of times. I felt so much better because I believe my Dad was there and he could sense him. Needless to say, Buddha is with me in our apartment and we have helped each other. I know darn well when my cat’s stalking mice or crickets 🦗. I used to think that since we weren’t conscious before birth, we are nothing after death. Thank you for pointing this out. Please excuse the lenghty comment, it's well worth the read I promise. 😁 I've seen this behavior as well, additionally cats have a different bandwidth of light that they can see thru that humans cannot. Firstly, alittle about light.. Light comes in frequencies (λ) like the ripples of a wave. With the distance between each wave expressed in nano meters(nm). For example, the green light humans see has a distance between waves at around 500nm. Now with a smaller distance between waves this means you have to cram more waves and more energy into the same overall lenght that a color with a lower frequency in nano meters would have. This means frequencies with lower numbers for example UVA light 400nm - 300nm would be a higher frequency and higher energy than red light 600nm-700nm and infrared light 700nm to 1milimeter which are lower frequency and lower energy. Simply, the lower the number in lenght the higher the frequency and energy; and the higher the number in lenght the lower in frequency and energy. Which can be easily mistaken as reversed.. Now back to the Cats.. The cat's vision goes thru a λmax above 400 nm into the UVA spectrum and to nm's as small as 300 nm when illuminated at a higher intensities. Whereas humans can see as high as 410nm (just slightly below UVA), this is because humans are not evolutionarally crepuscular or have had a need for UVA signaling. Humans also have a UV-absorbing lens that blocks out most of the UVA light from 410nm to 300nm. Whereas cats have a UV-Semi-transparent lens that starts blocking UVA around 340nm and tapers off around 320nm, with light from 320nm to 300nm seen only at higher intensities. With the addition of a wider iris for more light to it's photo receptors for it's size and other factors described in this video, this makes the cat's vision a formidable hunting tool. This means the cat is actually see things in the UVA spectrum humans cannot. Coincidently mice (cat's prey) have evolved due too predation to see in a even higher spectrum of light more effectively from a λmax of 320nm to 300nm (were cats can't see very well) at low intensities so they can see urine markings and other UVA signaling in their environment. So next time your cat is staring at the wall maybe it is seeing something anomalous in the UVA spectrum that just so happened to make it's way around you or maybe even worst has been there all along.. Creepy pasta I know..😅🙃 Sleep well.😆😄💚💚💚💚

I've lived in a multiple cat household for over 50 years. When one of our alpha males was 17 and ailing, two of the females would get tight on either side of him and purr for hours. He had taken charge of those two females when they came in as kittens, and I was used to seeing them all sleep together in a big heap. But I had never seen that particular configuration. The females were in their loaf position and were alert while he was stretched out between them. Seemed like they were offering comfort and encouragement. Not all alpha cats elicit this kind of care from the underlings. But that cat was a particularly nurturing soul. And he got back the care he had given his friends when they were little. I made sure they saw his body before I buried him. They sat with him for awhile, sort of taking it in. When they wandered away, I put him to rest.

Yes, we made that mistake once. I had a 5 cat family & as they began passing, the remaining cats were aware of those passages. But when my little Jessie died, I'd taken her to the vet & they ended up putting her down, she had stomach cancer. We brought her home in a big bag & never thought to let the others cats see the body & they were searching for her, but, of course, we didn't want to exhume the body. They gradually stopped looking, but I learned my lesson.

How the alpha male and females interacted reminds me of Frasier the lion from the seventies. He was taken into an animal park in Orange Cy, CA for retirement from a Mexican circus. They felt they had to be careful what area to put him in because the female pride hadn't taken to any males that had been introduced. In fact they would aggressively chase them off. The park people ran out of options so they introduced him into the ladies' territory. The next morning all the lionesses were cuddling up with him,💖 helping him move about and feeding him. And he ended up siring over thirty cubs!

When i was little, there was a time when i was in the basement playing with my cat, who was 6 months at the time, and all of the sudden he stopped playing and became super vigilant at the TV. Few seconds later the tv turned on by itself and the VCR (for those of you who are old enough to know what that is) also turned on and off a few times. My cat then hissed and growled at(of course he did) the tv until it stopped/turned off by themselves. It was a spooky experience. I believe my kitty is my guardian Angel.

I mean it’s kind of proven by science. If you consider how animals are often the first to flee from an upcoming earth quake or tsunami or similar. Not to mention how they can often tell how their owner is feeling or when they might need help(hence why they’re often employed as service animals). We are perfectly fine accepting those instances and trusting that animals might just have better senses that can tell them whether a natural disaster is approaching or whether someone’s going through a medical emergency, but we won’t apply the same reasoning when we’re taking about the “supernatural” or “spiritual” realm (read: something not yet fully explored or explained by science)?

"Soulcat." Thanks for the portmanteau term. I love that!
Our babygirl Chica passed just over a month ago, and soulcat describes her perfectly. I've been in pain for over 20 years and wear out quickly; Chica was born with 4 heart defects and the expert vets at UTK veterinary school didn't think she make her 2nd birthday. She fooled them and loved us for over 5 years but we always knew her time would be shorter.
She loved much and played hard, even if she wore out after a couple of minutes, and was patient with taking her meds twice a day. She ruled the roost too, staring down cats twice her size and getting her way; we called her Miss Imperious. She didn't have time for nonsense.
We understood each other, both affectionate souls who love life and have been determined to live it to the fullest extent we can. Her heart worked so hard that it grew to 3 times its normal size, so she was often short of breath. Since I also having breathing issues, I would pick her up, careful not to restrict her chest in any way, and tell her, "Yes, babygirl, this damn humidity, I'm gasping too hon," and then she did her best to purr.
When one of our kitties crosses the Rainbow Bridge, I make a crosstitch with a cutout for their photo, their name, and the attribute that best describes them. Antha was the most loyal kitty, Moe was the gentlest kitty. But Chica was the most joyful kitty; I've never seen a cat live with more joie de vivre, more enthusiasm for every sight, sound, and smell that crossed her path.
She taught me to embrace every day, every moment, with everything I have in me. Life is too full of potential and too short on time to do otherwise. She was my soulcat. She still is. 😍😻

Right before she was hospitalized, my great-grandmother was staying with me, my mother, and my 3 cats. She had a stroke in the hallway bathroom one afternoon and spent the next 3 weeks in the hospital then hospice. She passed on August 25 2010 and for almost 4 months afterward I’d wake up in the middle of the night hearing what sounded like her walker clanking on its way to the bathroom. I’d listen to the sound while my cat Ella, who always slept by my side or on my chest, would wake up too and we’d both stare at the door then lock eyes with each other then look back at the door and Ella would stare at the door as I’d fall back asleep. Sometimes the clanking noise would be so alarming that I’d get up to investigate and Ella would come with me and look down the hallway too. Around the 3rd month, when I’d wake I’d say “Hi, Mem-na, I love you and wish I could hug you” then Ella would start purring and snuggle closer to me. That last month of hearing the sound, there was no fear or alarm and Ella wasn’t guarding me anymore. We’d wake up, look at each other, I’d smile and say “I love you, Mem-ma, and you don’t need the walker anymore. Tell Grampy I say hi” and Ella would stare at the open door for a couple seconds then put her head back down and drift off. By the 5th month after my great-grandmother’s passing, the clanking was completely gone and when I’d wake in the middle of the night it was because I felt like I was being watched by a presence in the room, a familiar and loving one. And Ella would stay asleep, possibly because she felt that familiarity and love too and knew I was fine.
