    I’m sure you’ve probably got another hose reel by now, but if the handle ever falls off you can drill a hole (if necessary) into the outer ring, put some washers a bolt and handle through it and it’s fixed.

      Hey Kevin. Thanks for the sub and the comment! The chlorine won't hurt the deck. The main concern is with the vegetation which is well rinsed. It never hurts to splash some water on the deck before and after to be safe, but it won't really be affected.

    Soooo as of right now I only do commercial pressure washing mostly surface cleaning sidewalks. But I’ve been looking at getting into soft wash. All of that moss on that roof, I could not imagine walking away from a job looking like that. I know the chemical continues to work after you leave but then what happens? There’s no way all of that moss is completely gone and all you can see is nice clean shingles. Doesn’t that have to be scraped off or brushed off or some thing and cleaned again I would think?

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What's up Chris - thanks for the comment! You definitely need to talk to the client on jobs like this and let them know what to expect. Any moss jobs I do I always tell the client up front that I'll brush off the excess, spray and kill the rest, and come back if needed. I've sprayed some roofs 2 or 3 times over a season. I just cant fit all that into one video. I'm upfront with my customers about realistic expectations and I've only taken the job if we are on the same page. Moss is always a lot more involved than just spraying streaky roofs!

    Really shouldn’t set your ladder up against the shingles. It breaks the edges. You shouldn’t walk on the very peak of the shingles either. There’s no support and they will break. I’m curious as to what the wooden decks down below looks like after all your overspray splattered on them. always try to protect the customers property unless you’re looking for litigation.

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely agree! This was my first season. Lots has changed since. The decks were pre wet and didn't have an issue. I don't walk peaks any more and use ladder standoffs. I don't really take much work now that involves roof cleaning. Plenty of money to make on the ground

      Hey Brando. I have a video around the same time as this on my channel about building these. Scroll through. I don't use these wands anymore however. They break too easy. Google Sutner st510 guns. I use these now. Any of my newest vids will show me using the st510. I added brass 1/2 pipe to make it more robust and to thread on tips

    Man I left this video kind of hopeless. I do see the job as half done. As a customer, I would be half happy if even that. I'm just giving it to you straight. I'm thinking that most people are thinking the same as me. Give your customers more hope than this man!!

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I'd be careful with your assumptions. The video is not the whole picture. You don't see the conversation with the customer where the process is explained. They arent left feeling half satisfied. This customes are left educated and understanding that moss didnt grow in a day and doesnt die in a day either. Soft wash isn't magic it's a chemical process. The only quick way is a pressure washer which is terribly damaging to the shingles. So instead the moss is sprayed, its dies, and the shingles are left undamaged. No where in the video or any conversations with customers do I lead them to think it just magically disappears. Dense.

      Never went back to get an after. That much moss has to just die over time. Most of my other vids show me brushing it off and treating. That gives the best result

    Hi there,
    couple of questions:
    What kind of soap do you use and what ratio to the water/sh mix?
    When and after how much time do you rinse or done’t you rinse most of the time?
    Greetings from Holland 👍

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Freek! On Shingle washes I use a soap called Roof Snot. Mixing instructions come with it and I believe it's 1 cup. The only roofs I rinse are metal. No need to rinse asphalt Shingle
