I love when my favourite youtube channels colab. I loved the apperances Bill has made over at the modern rogue and that one armour build he did for Jazza
Very cool, STILL! I just got my first 3d printer and found your .stl on my hard drive from when you shared it. I forgot about this, it’s so cool. Mold making is also something i want to experiment with. I’m wondering if you’ve had any adhesion issues with the handle slipping off. I think i will file some notches into the metal handle so the epoxy has more of a mechanical connection… if i ever get to do this myself!
Probably the thing that warms my heart the most is when Punished Props mentions Crafsman, or when Crafsman mentions Punished Props. I get warm fuzzies all over.
Handy tip for making the mold box around the blade - just make the closed box first and then jam the knife into it! Perfect knife-shaped hole every time.
Love this! Your creativity on designing the mold boxes and negative space ect is amazing. I got my notebook and learning everything I can. This is awesome. Thank you! PS Using that awesome bad ars blade, to cut your sandwich.... Classic. Literally cackled. hehe
Could you do the cut out version of the handle on in a solid color, then put it back into the mold that you used here, or a modified one, and put clear over just the lettering? Might not even need the 2nd mold if you're ok with recessed panels of the clear in the handle.
Thanks for letting us know you're interested in that build! We have our current schedule worked out, but there could be room for this kind of video in future plans.
Ooooooooh that knife looks great, good job! On the topic of 3d prints though, have you ever tried using a card scraper instead of sand paper? It works so much better
I really don't need another project, but I really do need to make a handle for that knife, and a sheath. Damn you. Maybe I'll get lucky and the knife will be put on back order. :D This will just have to interrupt my plans to turn a kitchen knife into a replica Catspaw dagger.
what would be cool is if you did it in your logo colors and marbled the handle and had your logo and Chanel name engraved on the knife if i had one i would do what you did but the diresta logo would be in a crimson blood red and the handle would be that same red but marbled with dark blue, dark grey and black in a ww1-2 trench knife with a knuckle duster with the center removed and showing the diresta logo and adding some metal shavings and pieces of silver, steel, gold, brass, copper, and lead from bullets in the logo and handle also having the blade in a k-bar style with geometric serrations at the base of the blade(also the blade would be a really bold Damascus blade with a high carbon edge.
I was watching I Like to Make Stuff's new video earlier today and he also mentioned that sulfuric Clay can inhibit Silicone from curing. The more you know!!!
Suprised to see you still leave supports on when curing vs just giving them a min or 2 soak in some hot water and they about fall off and leave nearly 0 evidence. It also would extend the life of your wash since the supports hold onto a LOT of uncured resin that then just ends up in your wash system.
Awsome build, makes me want to finish my 5 foot claymore sword from Braveheart I modeled in Fusion but never got around to printing. A tip for resin printer owners, check out the 3D Printing Pro channel. He's got amazing resin support settings that just pull off the print and leave almost no mark (if done correctly), I highly recommend watching his videos.
Something as long and skinny as a claymore would need some kind of reinforcement. Maybe a kite spar or 2 down the length. Which would also be good for aligning the sections of a printed blade.
Dude!!! love and respect!!!!
You got it Jimmy! =)
Jimmy! You are the first maker I started following on youtube many many years ago. Keep being awesome!
I have seen so many knifemakers put handles on knives. It is great to see a mold maker do it. Great build Bill!
awww welp not alucards pistols but its still pretty cool!
Thanks buddy! =)
@@vladg2193 man ebony and ivory would be so awesome
soooo good!!!! xo
Thank you!
I had to pause the video and come down here to say how much I loved the "sneaky silicone" gag. Thanks for the laugh today! I needed it!
;) Prop and costume making is all about having fun! We try to help people remember that as often as we can :)
That came out so cool looking! And you didn't cut yourself. I give it 5-stars!
Huzzah! Thanks so much!
Awesome. Would have loved to see a sheath made from the same material.
Was not ready for the sneaky silicone hahaha
Nobody ever is...
Of all the Diresta knife videos released today yours had to be the first one I watched. Interesting crossover. Love how it turned out.
Thank you!
I love when my favourite youtube channels colab. I loved the apperances Bill has made over at the modern rogue and that one armour build he did for Jazza
Aww thanks so much!
Makers are makers, love the cosplay/construction crossover! Both of you guys are the best!
Awe, thanks!
super clean handle. super creative, nice work!
That looks amazing. I'd love to see a matching transparent sheath for it.
Me too!
love how you maintained the cutout logo - very cool. Always nudging up that bar and inspiring us.
It was too cool to cover!
So cool to see all the different takes on this
Yeah! All the videos are so rad!
the handle looks excellent, but that sandwich looked EPIC!! :)
It was an *exceptional* sandwich.
Definitely the best version i have seen so far.
Thanks so much!
is the video a bit over exposed or is it just my display?
nah everything is super bright. Just a little mistake
Yeah its the video. Bill isn't naturally that white. Lol
it's over exposed
awww welp not alucards pistols but its still pretty cool!
All their recent video are over expose

a testament to the sneakiness...
Same. It really got me to laugh!
Neat trick with the exacto knife! Fantastic-looking handle - great job!
Thanks!
I’m so happy you both enjoy The Crafsman’s videos too 😄
Probably the thing that warms my heart the most is when Punished Props mentions Crafsman, or when Crafsman mentions Punished Props. I get warm fuzzies all over.
I just found The Craftsman recently. The NOLA Bob Ross.
I like how makers are supporting each other. Love the @EvanAndKatelyn shirt!
We love our Maker friends! And this shirt :)
Good to see you again!
Thanks!
I'm at home with covid and these videos help take my mind off feeling sick for a little bit.
Oh no! I hope you bounce back quickly.
That is one heck of a beautiful knife, Great job on that sick ghost handle. 😍🤤
Excellent! Really like how it came out.
Thank you!
A Punished Props video with DiResta AND Crafsman references?! The perfect TH-cam video does exist!
Tah-dah!
Very Very nicely done!

Hey Bill! The part that you put the handle on is the tang! Happy turkey day!
Thanks!
So cool! Found you via Jimmy's compilation video! SUBSCRIBED!

9:13 WOW! metric system! This is so cool!
I love Metric
Nice work!
love the shout out to crafts man
Most videos should have a shout out to the Crafsman
We adore his channel so much
Loved the sneaky silicone bit!! 🤣
It comes out of nowhere!
I totally didn't think you would would SLA print that handle. . . Then you did!!! Ever try the tougher print resins?
I haven't tried "tough" resin yet.
Silicone is very sneaky! LOL! Love it!
It's lurking around every corner!
As I guy who loves knives this was a very interesting and cool build and I like the different handle options you came up with
Thanks very much!
LOL! The sneaky pot of silicone made my day!
Hahaa! Fantastic! =D

Ok, I'm still in the middle of watching while commenting, but that silicone mold sneaking up on Bill just about made me spit out my lunch! Hilarious!
Nice job.
Thank you! =)
Wow sick handle! Can’t wait to get my knife now.

Yeah that might work!
Your fancy mold separator is called a Weitlaner and was designed as surgical retractor. Love to see it used elsewhere.
Oh cool, thanks for the info!
I love the your wearing an E&K shirt!
Lovely support! ❣️

I have that shirt too. They are awesome, and so are you Bill!

I love that you really called your vacuum chamber _mary poppins_ like some commenter suggested
Our community is way more clever than us. =)
Can you know make a sheath that interact ta with the hilt? Either something 3D printed or moulded it a combination of both.
Thanks for letting us know you're interested in that build! We have our current schedule worked out, but there could be room for this kind of video in future plans.
Very AWESOME! How brittle is that handle...will it survive a drop? Such a great knife design and handle...that handle is AMAZING!!!
We actually did a drop test with resin to see how it would fare (part way through this video): th-cam.com/video/J7njc7HciTg/w-d-xo.html
Fantastic job, that looks great. Always love watching your channel and all the creative stuff you make. Happy Thanksgiving, stay strong and be safe!

Awesome knife.
Idea; make a giant Stanley style utility knife handle for the Diresta giant razor blade?
Oh that would be neat
That was freaking rad! I'd like to see how Bill would make a sheathe for that.
Thanks so much for watching!
That’s a good looking shirt, Bill. 🐈⬛
Thanks!
I'd love to see how you make a cover in the same way as the handle
A matching cover would be rad!
Great video. Wicked design. Awesome job. Hope no one was cut in the making of this movie. Mahalo for sharing!:) 🐒
Thank you so much for watching!

Yeah it works really well for some applications!

What’s the strongest hot glue to hold tin together?
I'm not sure. Sanding the tin first will help the glue hold.
woah two accounts I’m subscribed to did their own versions of this knife! Sweet!
That's awesome!
When you said soup's done, all I could hear was "job's done" from WCIII lol.
Silicone is indeed very sneaky! 🤣
You never know where it will strike from next!
The silicone in the degassing chamber really looks like Tetsuo at the end of AKIRA
Omg it totally does
Nice shout-out to TheCrafsman
ware would you buy forceps tool i wounder
Link in the description!
Sick
That spreader looks like a Weitlaner Retractor surgical tool.
I believe it is!
The ‘Jimmy Knive’. I could get used to that name 💪
It does sound rather convincing, doesn't it?

Hey some resin advice u should cut the supports before u Cure it
Thanks for the tip!
DUDE! You're wearing Evan&Katelyn merch to do RESIN TIME!
You know it!!
I was watching I Like to Make Stuff's new video earlier today and he also mentioned that sulfuric Clay can inhibit Silicone from curing. The more you know!!!
Yeah it's important to know what can cause inhibitions!

It also would extend the life of your wash since the supports hold onto a LOT of uncured resin that then just ends up in your wash system.
Thanks for the tips!
How about a petition to add "I am" and "ya'll" before and after "Mary Poppins" on the pressure pot?
I like it!
Gotta watch out for that silicone. Always sneaks up on you.
XD
It's everywhere!

@@hanelyp1 I put three holes down the length of it. One for support and 2 small ones for alignment. I still haven't printed it. Lol.
