Hi HappyBird. In my TH-cam Library I have saved videos that I like. For example I have "crafts" "butterflies" "paper crafts", etc. but I had to make a whole separate file in my Library for "HappyBird" because you have so many many many beautiful posts that teach us such beautiful artwork! Thank you!
The tips are always helpful for us beginners. It keeps us from struggling to reinvent the wheel. Love this project. Thank you so muchkimbery queens, ny
This is my next project. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I already got the supplies to make the lantern earrings from your other video and will do it this coming weekend. Thank you thank you thank you!
+ShoryoTombo Thank you so much ShoyoTombo! I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos! :o) I really enjoyed making the lantern earrings. I think you will really like them. Blessings to you! :o)
I love druzy stones but have not found a piece of jewelry I can afford yet. Thank you for this tutorial I love it and it looks like real druzy. I am going to give it a try I have lots of glitter and everything I need to try it. Love your tutorials, I look every morning to see if you have a new video to watch while I drink my coffee. HUGS.... BJL
OOOOH I am loving these Lori, the bezels are so pretty on the earrings and the colour is gorgeous. It looks as if I will be making some of these too after Christmas .Bless you my sweet and thanks for sharing xx
Thank you for sharing this tutorial!! The only thing I wished was that you showed the dark ones and any possible mistakes. That way I can tell when my project is possibly going awry. Can't wait to try this and have the best of holidays!
Kimiko Kimiko, you made a good point. Yes, I should have given an example of the dark colors. I'm so sorry for that! I do appreciate you watching my videos! :o)
I went to Michaels yesterday to pick up the grit glitter and the Mod Podge Magic. This makes 4 times I have watched this video I love it and now I can make some. Thanks
Thank you for the video, these are so pretty. I read in the comments that they haven't yellowed, which is good to know because I've had that mod podge yellow on me before.
+MegaPraiseHim Hi MegaPraiseHim! Thank you so much for commenting. :o) You can actually use any resin you would like, such as Glossy Accents by Ranger or Aleene's Paper Glaze. They all do pretty much the same thing. Thanks again and blessings to you!
WOW! THERE REALLY IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE FROM THE "ULTRA FINE" GLITTER AND THE REGULAR (WHICH I TRIED BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS FINE). i JUST FINISHED THE PROJECT AND OF COURSE IT IS STILL WET, BUT SURELY CAN SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL THE "ULTRA FINE" CHARM WILL BE. I USE MANY OF YOUR VIDEOS, AS I AM NEW TO CRAFTING
Hi Thelmarrie...the epsom salts were mixed in either Diamond glaze or the mod podge magic ( I've used both) so in effect it's sealed, I've never thought about it getting wet but I guess keep it out the way of boiling hot water and all should be well :-)
Hi! I can't wait to try this! Thank you for posting! I'm looking to make my own bezels, out of wire, so the back would be open. I saw on a blog that you can make, say a circle out of wire, and use the dimensional magic on a piece of packaging tape, within your wire shape, and it'll peel off when it dries. She just used some glitter, but do you suspect that this would work with the faux druzy? Have you tried using this outside of a bezel?
Amanda Steele Sweetie, I've never tried using the material outside of a bezel. I would think if you did use the wire, you would have to make sure the wire would be thick enough so the material on the inside would have something to hold it in while drying. Let me know if you tried it and how it worked! :o)
OneVeryHappyBird Thank you! I did try it! I made a round shape with multiple layers of wire, and put it on a piece of masking tape. Once it dried, it did come off the masking tape, no problem, but the wire didn't stop the material from oozing out a bit. Also - I made one in a brass bezel, and it discolored the material. Not sure what happened there, but just a little tidbit.
I have just become a member of your Facebook page and I am so frustrated at the moment as I have pulled some muscle away from my ribs so I am having bedrest for the time being. All I want to do is have a go at making some of your fantastic creations!😥
I think your pendants came out so pretty. I've been trying your technique, but for some reason mine are not coming out looking like yours. I keep adding more glitter, and grit, but when they dry, they are smooth and flat. No texture at all. On one I made, after it was all dry, I did try adding more. It helped a little, but I was hoping for more texture.
Hello HappyBird and thank you for this wonderful, excellent, helpful, detailed tutorial! I've already made two pendants and a pair of earrings. I'm totally hooked and they are beautiful! I have a quick question. Do you add a top layer of clear mod podge or varnish or leave as is? I'm wondering if the mounded glitter needs to have any protection or will it be ok since we used the mod podge in the first place? Thanks again and keep creating! :-)
The Pendant and earrings are so pretty. Thank you for sharing. I look forward for next project. Would you consider making a Christmas ornament of shabby chic or any religious ornaments. I have been making shabby chic ornaments and decided to take a break and make bead angels.
Thank you so much, Naomi! Yes, I would consider making ANY Christmas ornaments! :o) Did you see my beaded cross ornament tutorial? I think you'll like it. :o)
Yes I made the cross, angel ornament or pin, snowflake, and trinity beads all last year now trying to come up with something different this year. I might try butterfly and make ornament out of the butterfly. Thank you so very much.
I don't have Dimensional Magic so I think I'll try Triple Thick glaze. I wonder if it'll work. Have you tried it? I love love love that Crystal Mint color!!! I've been waiting for a reply to a question and I hope somebody can tell me because I want to place my order with German Glass Glitter. What size glitter do we get for all your pretty designs? Med, ultra-fine, or some are in numbers like 70 grit, 80 grit, 40 grit. What should I get?
Melanie Elliott Hi Melanie, I thought about that, however, I didn't want to make too much or not enough by accident, so I mixed it right in the bezel. Thanks so much for watching! :o)
This is great! I was thinking, though: instead of the end of the table (I'd get too worried) I would set them on one of those thick cardboard tags you sometimes get on new clothes (I seem to get a lot of those at Kohl's, I save them, thinking I could use them somehow, and this seems like the time to use those.)
I love using buttons, but on back so it doesn't show the holes from button, I am thinking I would use goop glue to seal holes up then use the liquid gold or silver and paint on back before adding the final piece to hold chain.
Thank you for this great idea! I will be trying this but I am going to try using clear glass glitter. One thing you might want to be more aware of that was a bit of a bummer is your camera angle. A lot of what you filmed was off camera or barely on so if you don't zoom in as much, we can see what you are doing. Thanks dear! :0)
Sorry, I didn't even look at the date. I am sure with almost 100,000 views, someone told you. I was just rabbit trailing and saw your thumbnail. I am off to the craft store to get supplies to try this. Thank you. :0)

Hi Azma, you can use any kind of CLEAR resin type of glues, such as Glossy Accents by Ranger or Diamond Glaze. I wouldn't use the regular white glue. I've never tried using clay, so I don't know how that would work. Thanks so much for watching! :o)
+OneVeryHappyBird in fact I don't have resin either..hv to buy clear glue and glass glitter Both r difficult to find and costly in india..I did try with ordinary glitter, white glue and It didn't turn out good bcoz of glitter...no problem with the glue..Thank you soo much for replying me!☺😊

Wow...So great, I've just had a go with epsom salts and glitter, waiting for it to dry...Thank you so so much x
I hope it worked out! I never thought of using Epsom salts before. :o)
Hi Mary. yes it did :-) All I did was mix it in first then added the glitter, same as the video...the texture is really nice .x
Nic D Have you gotten it wet? won't the Epsom salts dissolve or did you seal it?
Hi Thelmarrie...the epsom salts were mixed in either Diamond glaze or the mod podge magic ( I've used both) so in effect it's sealed, I've never thought about it getting wet but I guess keep it out the way of boiling hot water and all should be well :-)
Nic D Lol, thanks. It would really look cool with himalayan pink salt.
Amazing 😍
Thank-you!! Good video!

Jackie, you have to put more glitter/grit than you have resin or it won't turn out right. It just takes practice! :o)

Melanie Elliott Hi Melanie, I thought about that, however, I didn't want to make too much or not enough by accident, so I mixed it right in the bezel. Thanks so much for watching! :o)

+The Hermgirl Smart thinking Hermgirl! Thank you so much for your suggestion! :o)
These are beautiful. I have tried a few and can't get mine to look chunky. The mod podge always smooths out.
this is sooooo cool

Thanks for your videos. They're great. Wonder if I could substitute 3D Crystal Lacquer for the Mod Podge?
Thanks!
+Doris Slattery Hi Doris, I would think the 3D Crystal Lacquer would be fine. Thanks so much for watching! :o)
Do you put a sealer on when they're fully cured?
Thank you for this tutorial ! This is great ! I don’t see the links of where you bought the supplies ?
They are beautiful but if they get wet the mod podge will dissolve, its best to use resin if you can x
+Elizabeth S Hi Elizabeth,
This isn't regular Mod Podge that I used. It is Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, which is a resin. :o)
Woow is amazing, appearing real and is beautiful, excellent idea.! Thank you for the video. Buen Día y Bendiciones!!!!!. :
¡Muchas gracias! Voy a tomar la bendición!
I know Hun. This is an old video and I wasn't paying enough attention to my frame. I've learned since then. :)
Sorry, I didn't even look at the date. I am sure with almost 100,000 views, someone told you. I was just rabbit trailing and saw your thumbnail. I am off to the craft store to get supplies to try this. Thank you. :0)
Do you have to use the matte or the gloss finish mod podge? Thanks :)
Rebecca Dickinson HI Rebecca, In this project, you don't use the regular Mod Podge that you decoupage with. You use the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, which is a resin. Hope this helps!
I am wondering if I could use something for the druzy when it's done, so the glitter doesn't stick on the skin. is there like a spray or something to keep it together?
+Faby Diaz Hi Faby, I haven't had any of my druzy's shed glitter because the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic is a resin. Everything is attached and it is tough as cement. :o) Thank you so much for watching!
could i use regular mod podge? i dont have the dimensional magic, but i have matte and glossy
bee cmpbell Unfortunately, no. Mod Podge is a glue that you water down. Dimensional magic is a clear resin.
that was a wonderful how to video. thanks for sharing. question: does the mod podge shrink and seal the glitter from coming loose and getting on everything or can you recommend a clear sealer that one could use to prevent that from happening. . .
Hi Kelly! Yes, the Mod Podge does shrink and seal the glitter from coming loose. If you choose to use a sealer, I would recommend Mod Podge Super Gloss (with the blue label) to seal. Thank you so much for watching!
+OneVeryHappyBird thank you for the reply. this will be great fun for the next slumber party / a gift they can go home with

I'm italiana this Project is very beautiful...where do i find The mod podge in Italy in which Store? Thank You
These are so beautiful Where did you get the bezels?
You can find a ton of bezels on Ebay or Etsy.
i love this tutorial!!! so glad i found your site. it's been a year since you posted this - how are these holding up? I'm wondering because I was going to make some for gifts and wanted to make sure they lasted. thanks so much! :)
+Kathleen Farrell Hi Kathleen, they have held up wonderful! I still have them and they haven't yellowed, chipped, etc. ~ Thank you so much for watching my video! I appreciate your nice comment! :o)
You from Utah? I am and was just wondering. Beautiful direction on your craft
I am having trouble finding that glitter purpurina crystal ultra fine. Does it go by another name, brand, etc Thanks.
hi,is it necessary we use mod podge?won't any other glue or using clay work?nice work btw..Thank you!😊
Hi Azma, you can use any kind of CLEAR resin type of glues, such as Glossy Accents by Ranger or Diamond Glaze. I wouldn't use the regular white glue. I've never tried using clay, so I don't know how that would work. Thanks so much for watching! :o)
+OneVeryHappyBird in fact I don't have resin either..hv to buy clear glue and glass glitter Both r difficult to find and costly in india..I did try with ordinary glitter, white glue and It didn't turn out good bcoz of glitter...no problem with the glue..Thank you soo much for replying me!☺😊
Did you buy the regular oval pendant at michaels or a online Michaels. Sorry if this is late
Sam i am I purchased the oval pendants online. Michael's is very limited, however, you can find a ton of bezels on Ebay or Etsy in all kinds of shapes, sizes and styles. Hope this helps! :o)
Thanks
that's awesome😉😉
I saw yoyu video and tried it.The only thing I did different was I used nail polish in the place of colored glitter and I was very pleased with the out come. I would like to send you a picture of but I don't see how.
Oooo! I like the idea of using nail polish! Very creative thinking Joanie!
someone told me you cannot use the Mod Podge because it is water soluble if it gets damp and anyway it will fall apart is that true
+Coleen Taylor That has not been my personal experience, however, you can use any resin you would like, such as Diamond Glaze or Ranger's Glossy Accents.
Sorry Sweetie, I don't do classes other than on TH-cam. I live in the Southwest, but not in Arizona. :o)
Simply Lovely, you don't want to know how much I paid for a Druzy Ring from QVC ! Going to make some for Christmas Gifts , Thank You
Do you think I could get away with the regular modge podge?
No Sweetie. The Mod Podge Dimensional Magic is a clear resin. :o) Thanks for watching!
Hi, I have a question. Do you have a video of what it looks like to go back and add more, if you didn't get right the first time?
Thank You
J Vogt I'm sorry Sweetie, but I don't. I can tell you that I just blobed it right on top of what I originally did and it adhered extremely well.
ohhh very nice! Thank You very much. :)
Are you around the az area.. Do you do classs
I’m sorry what are the shapes called? I wanted to look for them on eBay
