    Beautiful creations and I don't think it's too long at all. It's peaceful and it's real life time. That's exactly how it goes for me too. Great job !!

    Sandy! Hi! I’m a true fan of your videos and love the details you share! I don’t feel you take too long because I and others are newbies and need those details that you share about all the skills you are taking your personal time to teach us!!! So.... if people want a fast and brief tutorial..... they should go to tutorials that are more advanced and pay for your advanced private tutorials. Thanx so much Sandy for sharing your time and allowing us to come into your private studio to learn from your vast knowledge. I know.... this is old..... I’m watching your druzy tutorial, ( which I’ve watched many times and enjoy every time!!.,), but thanx for teaching me sooo much! I’m thinking of buying your steam punk dragon tutorial! I love it!!., 😉👍🥰❤️🙂

      Hi Ruth, Thank you for the very kind and thoughtful comment!
      I'm glad you like the faux druzies. I love making and wearing them. Every time I make some it's an utter mess, but so much fun. :-)
      Honestly, I have to admit that I did babble a bit overmuch in the beginning of this video, it's a talent of mine, haha. I don't take the negative comments personally, but just take them as an opportunity to improve.
      If somebody is rude... well, that says more about them than it does about me, right?
      As for the steampunk dragon class, that was part of Polymer Clay Adventure 2019, and now that that is over, I'll be putting it in my Etsy shop. In fact, it's on my list to do some time in the next week.
      Are you signed up for my email newsletter? eepurl.com/cQoKgL You'll get new class announcements and I often send coupon codes to the classes in my Etsy shop.
      Thanks again for the encouraging comment, Ruth. Happy creating!

    Hi Sandy! I’m a clay newbie and I’m new to all the wonderful things all of you can create and all the videos. So I’m watching your wonderful “faux druzy” video. Wonderful! Awesome anD I luv em! You seemed a bit disappointed in your rectangular, black bezel one. I just wanted to say I luv it! It would look stunning in a curly silver wire Wrap. I think your hand made bezels and bails are fantastic! Thanx sooooo much for sharing. You are an excellent instructor! 😉👍😊😍

      Thanks for the encouraging words, Ruth! I actually ended up liking the black one in the copper frame and turned that into a statement necklace. Sometimes we have to get past our expectations and our first impressions. :-)
      You can see a photo of it here: www.patreon.com/posts/mardi-gras-5-16840896. In the next few months it will be available to purchase as a tutorial. More on that later.

    It's funny to me that you said that the black one was kind of boring when through the whole video is the one that kept catching my eye! I thought it looked the most real LOL

      I love it! I think it's awesome that we all have different tastes and different things appeal to different people. The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same stuff. 😁

    Oh wow these are GORGEOUS!!!!! I have definitely gotta try this I have always wanted a druzy! A purple one with dark tones.... Now I can attempt to make my own. The black bezel you used with the purple druzy, omg I absolutely LOVE it!!! If it ever goes up for sale please remember me! 😘

    • @SandyHuntress
      @SandyHuntress  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So glad you like it! Do you mean the rectangular black bezel I showed on camera? If so, I'm sorry to report that after recording the video I filled it with the rest of the green mixture, so the purple one is no more. :( But you can make your own! Links to the product I used are at my blog post. Happy creating

    Hi Sandy! It’s me Ruthie again. Sorry, but when you showed your gorgeous Dragon cuff bracelet with the druzy spots.... it is gorgeous. Could you do a tutorial.... even a pay tutorial.... showing how to make it.... even if it is different? I know you said you didn’t keep color/ mix records, but that’s ok! Thanx I will look forward to it! Hopefully??? 😉👍🥰❤️👍

    • @SandyHuntress
      @SandyHuntress  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi again, Ruth! That dragon cuff is one of my favorites to wear. Utter impractical to wear around the house, but I love it for special occasions. :-D
      I may do that one for an upcoming paid tutorial, but it will likely be a while.
      In the meantime, if you love, dragons, have you seen the dragon pendants I have in the 2020 Polymer Clay Adventure? bit.ly/SandyHuntressPCA2020
      Those I LOVE to wear, and they don't get in the way nearly as much as the bracelet, haha.

      Thank you for the kind words! These faux druzies are fun to make and to wear. 😀
      There is no clay in this project, so I’m not sure what you mean.

  • @JenaHuffman

    Do you recommend adding resin to the druzy? For a shinier look? And do they need to be sealed?

    • @SandyHuntress
      @SandyHuntress  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I don’t recommend adding resin as it would fill in the facets and take away the sparkle.
      I don’t tend to seal things, unless absolutely necessary, as there are sometimes unexpected, unpleasant results.

    Hi Sandy, I've always had a problem when trying to make faux drusy, one methord ,,was using rock salt PVA glue and glitter, I tryed that ,,but the rock salt seemed to have a bad reaction to the goiter and PVA ,for some reason that I'm not aware of, and found that it solidified, and became liquid, I do have glitter, but course, and 3 glitters that are fine, a copper a black, and a purplepink color, I only have PVA glue, any help would be welcome and appreciated Sandy, thankyou for this video👍👍👍👍🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹

    • @SandyHuntress
      @SandyHuntress  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't tried PVA glue to make these, only the Dimensional Magic. I wonder if the glue is too runny to hold it's shape well? Maybe if you put in a LOT of glitter, so it would be a thick paste? If you experiment, be sure to let us know your results!

      Keepsake Crafts by Sandy Huntress,, I will do Sandy, I will give it a try tomorrow,, and let you know how it turns out,, what is dementsional magic?? And where can I get it,?

    • @SandyHuntress
      @SandyHuntress  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a product by the makers of Mod Podge and can be found near it at the craft store. I got mine at Michaels.

      Keepsake Crafts by Sandy Huntress Hi Sandy, I've come up with an idea, I thought I would do a little experiment with clear nail varnish, now I have glitters, but are not to fine, one is a metallic flaky rainbow green glitter ,,sort of med shred,, its on the green side, so I mixed a bit of med fine blue and gold with a touch of white ab glitter ,with a very small amount of gold, and mixed dry thoroughly, then just added enough clear nail varnish to the mix, to add to a pendent bezel, and, it looks just like druzy, so its drying, it will take mabey over night, to make sure that it sets hard, will let you know the outcome!!!!!,🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹👍
