Never have we ever before enjoyed watching TH-camrs hunting for decent wi-fi upload speed so much as this one. You guys kept it real and fun to watch all at the same time. We are quite certain it wasn't all that fun at the time for you guys. Thank you for sharing with us how beautiful Oregon is. And for the review on the couty campground. Looking forward to watching the next vlog.
Yup - you captured it. The worst part about being a TH-camr on the road is trying to find WiFi for the uploads. Thankfully, we now have an app that allows us to test the WiFi's upload speed before we set up shop. It's called SpeedSmart. Free app and it saves a boatload in beer and coffee...
Well if we end up missing you on the road we know where to look for you... a lavender farm on the fruit loop trail in Hood Oregon. Make sure the farm has WiFi. BTW did any one notice TJ got a new hat! Looks good.
Since you are going to Joseph and Enterprise you might be interested in doing the Peddle Bike on the train tracks from that area. I guy that has a bike shop took old bike parts and made peddle carts that go on an old train track. You are not able to take the dogs but they have 2 different trips that you can take. One short and one longer. I have never done it but they had good reviews. I lived in the area for year in the mid 60 while I was makeing a movie with Paramount Pictures and Clint Eastwood along with Lee Marvin. The area is absolutely gorgeous. I enjoy your videos. Have fun and make sure you fly fish in Idaho
We did the fruit loop tour a few years ago and it was so awesome. We tent camped in White Salmon, WA at a sweet little pear orchard we found on Air BnB. Neither my partner nor I drink much, but we love specialty vinegar and bought some pear flavored at one of the wineries. They were out of blueberry to buy, but they had some to taste. Not sure which is my favorite. We made ourselves a big honkin salad from the fruit loop tour with fresh apples, pears and all kinds of other more conventional salad stuff. Thanks for the lovely rememory.
Honestly, this is a great video showing just how much real work and hassle is involved in being a TH-camr. Watching several RV living channels makes one think becoming a traveling TH-camr would be wonderful and free, but then a video like this shows just how hard it can be to keep your subscribers happy. Thanks for all the hardwork and missing out on fishing the Deschutes for us.
You can get the freshest fruits from Fruit Loop and the prices are lower. The stories behind those wineries are amazing as well. I'm jealous. I can't imagine sniffing the scented air of that lavender farm. Thanks for this.
I'm so sorry you had to endure that slow upload speed for this video, but I am oh so glad you did. We will be in that part of Oregon at the end of summer and I had no idea the Fruit Loop existed and it looks like fun. I just might give that hike a try also. Me and the wife really enjoy watching your videos every week, it gives us new places to visit.
I am loving this video. This is where I spent my summers growing up, and many in my adulthood. In fact, I see you went to my cousin’s winery! I was supposed to go back to Hood River area last summer, but COVID put a temporary hold on that. Thank you for letting me see my second home again!
I really enjoy your adventures. Thanks so much for sharing. I have an idea for you. How about doing a show on what photo equipment you are using and how you use it to capture what you do.
Saw your sick looking ride outside of an Olive Garden yesterday and the sticker on the back window brought me here. What a fun adventure you are both on! Thanks for sharing the journey. My parents are in the process of converting a school bus and are getting close to starting a life on the road of their own. We love visiting the Hood River area. Nothing like fresh cherries when they are in season! I can't wait to get out to the orchards here to pick some fresh fruit as we get closer and closer to fall like weather. The wineries of Western Idaho are something special as well!
Thanks for checking us out! Schoolies are so cool, we actually considered building one when we were planning to hit the road, but we decided it was going to take too much time and we were ready to hit the road. Thanks again for commenting and watching 🙂
Loved the last video in Hood River and now I know the crazy effort needed to upload it. Well you did get a chance to wander Hood River WiFi to WiFi.🤣 The area is so beautiful and the weather looks awesome. While I watched today’s video it was 100 in Salt Lake. Defiantly Hood River will be in our 2021 plans. Thank you so much for sharing.
Based on your weather report this video is a week behind. I'm in Hood River right now, and its much cooler than last week with a nice breeze. Maybe one day I'll cross paths and get a chance to meet y'all. Great video, even if it took forever to upload.
Sorry it took you so long to upload the video. :’(. We do appreciate seeing the views that you are sharing with us. Bri, I’m the night owl and my husband is the lark. I really don’t like mornings either. Hope you have a great week!
Those windsurfers are amazing! They make it look so easy - but it isn’t. Right? 😉 Loved your trip to Hood River - you obviously had a great time in spite of slow WiFi. TJ, I was hoping for some fishing video - that’s my thing for sure. Love your videos - so uplifting and fun. Thanks for what you do! 👍
Don't worry about hiking too fast. I like the advice of James Miur. “I don't like either the word [hike] or the thing. People ought to saunter in the mountains - not 'hike!' Do you know the origin of that word saunter? It's a beautiful word. Away back in the middle ages people used to go on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, and when people in the villages through which they passed asked where they were going they would reply, 'A la sainte terre', 'To the Holy Land.' And so they became known as sainte-terre-ers or saunterers. Now these mountains are our Holy Land, and we ought to saunter through them reverently, not 'hike' through them.”
Just wondering if you're going to head down to Joseph Oregon. That's a gorgeous place to stop and take the chair the lift up to the top of the mountain and another nice campground at the lake at the Joseph Oregon.
That's why the videos late you guys running around all day trying to get Wi-Fi cuz I'm over here in Virginia and I usually get it Tuesdays I get off work at 3:30 and by 5 I usually got it next time you guys sit around drink wine all day you need to get enough for everybody looks like you guys are doing good the dogs are looking good so you guys take care of yourself see you next week
Thank you Candie for asking. The pups are doing well. Madley is getting extra food (which she's loving) and putting some weight back on. Yes, it has been really hot, the day we left it was going to be 104* 🥵
Wow!! That was like dial up speed. 56k. Yeah, I'm showing my age. I hope you are using a VPN to keep you protected. Ah, you're smart and surely do. Glad I found your channel. Been watching for several weeks now. Looking forward to the next video.
I just discovered your channel - see you are from Florida - I grew up in Tallahassee - also have a son in northwest Oregon - I have been to Draper Farms. When we went there, there was no one manning the store - it was by honor system - we had a lovely bottle of cider there! Hood River is a lovely place!
Great video! Are any of the stops on the Fruit Loop Harvest Hosts locations? One of Barbara's favorite beers is Moose Drool. ( We noticed the sweat shirt). We are now pretty much committed to working at Lone Fir Resort in Cougar, WA next summer. The only concern we have is the Wi-Fi. Oh, the life of a TH-camr! Sorry you missed out on the fishing.
I am not gay but I really liked the fruit loop area...Awesome video again guys, what a beautiful area you are in! Would you really leave FL? You would miss the heat & humidity AND all the traffic plus the growing population of over 20 million and growing daily..🤔 Really enjoyed this video guys! Oh I almost forgot to mention I never see my name anymore at the end showing your patrons!😌😩😭😢 Thanks guys!!!🥰👍🎉⛰🐻🙏🏻🌲🦌💐🍃🍂🏜⛰
Wow, went on a walk with shoes instead of sandals. I was watching a video from Sacramento Ca. And the female voice sounded just like yours. Was it? We love to eat fish, but know, I don’t fish, just eat them. Nice video.
Thanks Bill 🙂 Both were really great, the Bourbon trail was quite spread out making it hard to visit a bunch of distilleries in one day (maybe by design 🥴), where the Fruit loop had stops pretty frequently which allowed you to see more of it.
We found a wonderful boondocking site on the Deschutes River. It is called Macks Canyon. Check it out, I think you will like the area! It is at the end of a 17 mile gravel road, but there was a class A and an Airstream there when we arrived. You need a check or cash to pay the fee. ($8/night during the week, $12/night Friday and Saturday nights. No amenities except for the concrete toilets. Right on the river!
This is Mrs Low Rider...Love your videos because you take the time to explain what’s going on. I see you removed Jack from the intro, you should keep him on. Jack was such a large part of your family for such a long time. Question, what is the name of the county park you’re camping at near Hood River. Thanks much; safe travels
Thank you for the kind words. The park in Hood River is Toll Bridge Park. The 5 spots on the river were our favorite, but the RV area towards the front was also really nice. Thank you for commenting and following along 🙂
Sorry video capture, which we really enjoy, eats into your experiences so much. hope you can find ways to make your experiences more for you...we'll take what we canget thanks for your efforts. I've lived it as a journalist, where I went to the most interesting and important events and places--only to spend time looking for shots and uploads on deadline.
You should check into Visible.com for their phones. I paid $20 bucks for it, has the hot spot and runs on Verizon network. The Wife and I traveled thru the north west last year and boondocked at all the Casinos up and down the cost. I used the phone to surf everyday. Has unlimited data , text and talk. Love to watch your channel. Thanks
Embracing Detours My wife and I watch all your videos. We will be looking to go full time in a couple years. Take care, hope to see you on the road. You have the best attitudes!

TJ makes the ultimate sacrifice and misses fishing the Deschutes just so we can have our vlog fix. He’s the man!

That's a lot of work to let us still under a shelter in place to have a brief escape from COVID-19, much appreciated!!!!

I would love to pick lavender... I bet it smells great! Thanks so much for sharing the fruit loop with us! Awesome!

Beautiful area....I have stayed at Timberline and the area is wonderful. I will have to travel the Fruit Loop someday. Thanks for the video!
I loved your video. I’ve always wanted to go to that part of the state. You guys sold it for me. Thanks!
Another great video, I look forward to your visit of Colorado as that's my home, lots of good fishing here!
Hopefully you will get to buy/eat some Maryhill peaches. They are the best. Maryhill Fruit stands are just across the bridge from Biggs Jct.
Thanks for another wonderful video.

I do worry about Bri's stinky scandals. Know the lavender will save them.😀
you mean you would give up all that Ocala has to offer for this bit of Hood river heavnen?
Look at visible for phone and hotspot. You can get it as low as $25 a month. Unlimited everything. It’s owed by Verizon. I use it for a hotspot.
