Nice video! The way to drive this route I find is to predict where the slow downs occur. The speed on the ATC will gradually drop down when entering areas like Jamaica and Penn Station, so you drive according to that. It’s either you slow down before the change or it slows down for you (harshly), there is no third option.

It says slow, so stick the throttle into max brake and acknowledge. Especially with freight, PZB is harder. Hot take: The LIRR would be so much easier to drive (and probably have more capacity) if it used LZB.
