Hi lovely people! Hope you enjoy todays vlog, we got some very rare sunshine and I was over the moon about it! I spent the day outside enjoying a bit of gardening. Big plans for the garden! Can't wait to share the transformation with you in the coming weeks 🙌🏼 What are you going to get up to today? I'm planning a nice sunny walk and a bit of DIY! ☀️ Kay x
Today was nice and sunny so I went snorkeling it was nice to see all the beautiful fishes and just enjoy the ocean 😊💕 hope your day went well and I can't wait to see your garden.
Your videos are so cosy and comforting. Looking forward to seeing how your garden develops over time. It's such a lovely thing for you to make meals for your Dad. My Mum had MS too, so I understand how difficult it can be. She sadly passed away 9 years ago, but it brings me happiness just to talk about her :) x
When I was younger I loved my flower beds, rearranging my flowers, and tending them. The smell of the sun, soil, and earth is just amazing. It is amazing to hear songbirds and see your buds. We are still in the depths of winter in New York. It gives us hope for the future year to come. Thank you.
Hi Kay! I thoroughly look forward to your Sunday Vlogs, the days go by and then Saturday night rolls around and I think to myself, tomorrow's Sunday😃 Kay's Vlog! 👏😊🐱 When you mentioned "Learning cursive Handwriting with Anne of Green Gables I had to tell you, I live in "The land of Anne!" - Prince Edward Island, Canada! I must agree with you about spring being "around the corner," and getting anxious! I think your garden will be lovely and I'm sure Echo will really enjoy himself. I do love the brick walls though - I have a thing for "brick" just love it. Our small but cozy home just arrived on site little over a week ago. I REALLY get ya when you said you visualize something and it's like it's THERE! I've been visualizing how I would decorate, and eventually a garden...and maybe a little "SheShed"...at some point.. all I can say is keep visualizing cause it will happen! Sorry for my babbling. Love your Vlogs!! Have a lovely evening, and thank you for always adding some coziness and cheer to my Sunday. 🐞🙂🌷🐱🌱🦋
Just about to settle in but just wanted to say I really appreciate the fact that you’re consistent with what time you upload and to such a high standard. I know there will obviously be times when it’s not possible to stick to a time but as I work nights I schedule my time around your vlogs to relax etc. Righto...a cuddle with my dog, cup of Yorkshire tea and a cheese toastie and a Vlog from Kay...flippin’ perfect!!! 💕🌈🙏🏻 xx
Thank you 💗 Consistency is what i'm aiming for this year, I know how great it is when you can depend on a youtuber to upload on a certain day/time 🥰 Enjoy your morning my lovely! Cheese toastie sounds amazing, might do the same! 🙌🏼💗
What a joy your channel is, i dont think i have ever watched a more relaxing garden video, and echo is just a cutie, i am loving your transformation of your garden into a little haven esp when the sun shines, your whole house/home is just so lovely xx
Your garden plans sound lovely! I too would love to learn better handwriting. Fair warning that Anne with an E is extremely different from the original books. Absolute classics but vastly different ☺️
Hi Kay! I could comment so many things throughout this video but I'll keep it short! I just want to say that I absolutely love watching these Sunday vlogs they are really cosy and relaxing! I love that you are changing your handwriting. This is something I have wanted to do myself. I remember Louise Hay saying something in one of her audiobooks about how she changed her handwriting in her older years and it changed her life! I also loved Anne With An E and it doesn't surprise me that you do too.
You made great progress in the garden, I would love to see more gardening content on your channel. I make shepherds pie with lamb mince, I do a big batch which is usually 4 meals for me and I put 3 in the freezer for when I can’t be bothered cooking anything.
So nice to work in garden think the fresh air is really good for mood! I put clear roof over my patio/catio it's great coz even when it rains I can enjoy the outdoors and I have fairy lights for night time I spend more time there than my cats🤣 great vlog thanks so much💙
Thanks for recommending the handwriting books! I am looking for more analog hobbies to do right now, and I would love to write real letters again. Maybe you want to share an update on how it’s going some day! 💫
What a great video you’ve created for us to enjoy! Always love little Echo and I loved watching you work in the garden, and getting sunshine vitamins! Those candles and wax melts are very tempting! I may have to order some! 😉 Your Cottage Pie looks delicious! Your Dad is very blessed to have you! 🥰
I never really thought about my handwriting and whether it's nice or not until now, but I do really love the cursive writing and I use it in my journal, as it just flows better and I write faster with it. It also feels like it's a more personal version of my handwriting. But in small notes for work and in the household, I don't use cusive, I always feel cursive is for writing longer things. :) I hope you'll enjoy learning cursive and writing in it!
Love your videos! Thank-you for sharing your day with us, yes more gardening videos would be lovely. Feeling inspired after watching your video, a bit too cold here where I am in Ontario, Canada. Enjoy your sunny day!
Hi Kay this was an excellent video we really enjoy this type of video. It was nice to see you out in the garden. I also like Call of the midwife When the heart calls, Poldark , Downton Abbey❤
I've always called it Shepherd's Pie but used beef. I know it's wrong but I can't help it. I think you would enjoy The Darling Buds of May if you haven't watched it already. I have recently found your channel and have been catching up with your videos starting from when you moved into your house.x
It's 3am and I can't sleep but your vlogs is so calming and relaxing. Thanks for sharing the handwriting books, Iove Anna Green Gables! Your garden is going to be amazing 🌷
I really enjoy your channel! I had originally found your channel when I searched Ragdolls. We are picking up our ragdoll at the end of March! And I have a lot of weight to lose, so your health videos I love too!!
Another lovely vlog, thank you. If you enjoy feel good programmes set in the 50's watch The Darling Buds of May (can be found on YT). Today I am going to start reading 'Open' by Frankie Bridge, bake banana bread and grout a lot of tiles. I hope everyone has a good Sunday.
If you have a VPN, i suggest Murdoch Mysteries! It's a canadian detective solving murders in late 1800's Toronto. They mention ideas of new technology (that we know today) in a way that makes you giggle and be like "hold on, somebody will create that oneday"! Lovely video, as always 😊
Lovely vlog so calming, I really enjoy the gardening aspect, you did so well :) :) Also I watched Downtown Abbey a year ago and really enjoyed it and Lark Rise to Candleford is really good I just started it, so glad you loved Anne with an E, I was so sad when they cancelled it.
@@cheche2174 I also remembered one a few years ago a show that I really liked called North and South that was really good to and also there is a younger show based in a bit of an older time called Hetty Feather :) :) Pride and Predjudice was really good, I liked the Zombie remake they did was suprisingly forward, also I absolutely love the 1994 Little Women hands down favourite movie :) :)
@@kayjays7267 Oh yes! North and South - is so remember that! Also Born and Bred! So Many good cosy choices👏🙌🏼. I haven’t seen Anne with an E yet so I am looking forward to that one xx
Lovely vlog! :) As for shows from back in the time, I recommend Land Girls! It's actually during the WW2 but it's a great cozy show I find, you should watch it ;)
Wow, what a big project! I'm sure your garden is gonna look lovely! Good luck with all the work! As for recommendations, I love the new Tom Hanks movie, News of the World. :)
love watching echo in the garden - my cat is an indoor cat after an accident with a car and would love to carry him outside but he wriggles too much! I tried a harness and he just flops to the floor!! Typical cat - not happy to compromise!!
Also I forgot to say - we were taught cursive handwriting in school and I’m 38. My kids get taught it now also, but you’ll enjoy that I’m sure - writing is very therapeutic xx
You should also watch the 1980’s Anne of green gables it is different to Ann with an e and the one I prefer more ( but I was a kid around when this 1980’s version came out) . Anne’s house of dreams was one of my favourite books. Love Lucy maud Montgomery as an author. Jane of lantern hill was another film and a fave. Also check Emily of the new moon here on you tube xx enjoy Anne of green gables. I have just loaned my dvd box set of Anne series to a work colleague whose never seen it but lives period dramas xx can’t wait to hear what she thought of it. Xx
Why do you want to cover that gorgeous rustic brick wall in your garden? I think it looks a lot better than a fence on both sides and it fits your cottage perfectly 😶 And in your video the spot for the green house seems quite shady? It should be in the sunniest spot 😊
We don’t particularly want to cover it but it’s too old to put a fence attached to it. We want to gain privacy as it’s only 5ft, lower in some places and we’d like to secure our garden for echo which requires it to be ag least 6ft. We don’t own the wall so really it’s the only option we’re left with! We’ve debated it for so long 😅😂 we still have the wall going down the side of the house and I will be able to see it from the side window 🥰 We’re west facing so the bottom of the garden gets sun from sunrise until late afternoon in the summer months 🙂
@@Livingthelifeyoulove thank you for your reply! The wall looks a lot taller than it really is 😄 My neighbour‘s cat climbs into our garden and the fence is 2 metres high. I don‘t know if you can keep Echo inside your garden with a fence. But I‘m not an expert, I have to dogs and never had a cat 🙈
The high fence won't keep your cat from getting out and getting into trouble, especially you live on busy road..best thing is put him in a long leash but watch him as he might get entangled ..and pease don't cut the trees, please they are so important, especially the pear tree but the others too.don't do that please, it takes years for a tree to grow and you cut it in a minute!😢
We'll be getting a cat proofing system in place and having full use of our garden is really important to us, it's not just about echo (though he is the main driving factor as is his happiness and he's so happy when he gets to explore outside) it's the privacy it will also bring for us which will be a huge boost for my mental health -being able to enjoy the sunshine and time in the garden uninterrupted in the summer months. ☀️ We've considered the decision a lot since moving in but ultimately it's going to be the best option. I'm sad too about the trees but we will re-plant and give the ones we do have to cut back to the earth so they can continue the cycle of life. Everything on the left is staying + the pear tree but I will be sad to see the others go! Watch this space, hopefully with time it will become a beautiful garden once more. x
@@Livingthelifeyoulove good luck with your plans. From my own experience it's almost impossible to keep cats enclosed unless there's a new way now to do so! Don't know. I think a long leash would be ok for him as he's on a very healthy raw diet, so he won't need a lot of exercise...plus you save the birds, 27 million birds are killed each year by cats in the UK! Shocking, isn't it? Maybe get a bird feeder so he can watch the birds and be entertained😻
