A couple of buddies and I from SW Arkansas rode the Smokey Mt 500 3 days before Helene hit the area. Bout the same time you were riding it, we rode it and then went up and rode the MidAtlantic BDR. I am a kidney transplant survivor of 21 years ,!! Everyday is a blessing ! Keep on keeping on brother!!
I am in TN Greg, this looks like my neighborhood, only the roads are in much better shape! Looks like a lot fo fun, sorry you were struggling with being away from the wife! - Frank
Good you feel guilty riding with out your wife Greg, means you love her. I ride a 990 and wife a Cb500x or her dr 200 when she can't go I feel bad too. Great video man.
Hey Greg, your content is never boaring at all man, I love what you do on here. I bet if you had the Timmy with you, you guys would be smashing it as usual. I wish I could ride with you guys sometime. I am new at this and put some money down on my first adventure bike last month, waiting for it to get here. In the meantime am gathering gear, lol.
Hang in there, don’t let that boogie man depression in. You’re doing great. I know it’s really bad for folks right now. You need not feel guilty for feeling good and being out doing what you love doing. You’ve come a long way in a short time.
Thanks man. It's definitely been a struggle lately. I've had a lot change in my life and I'm trying to figure out how to deal with it and be happy as I can be at the same time.
Tray Mountain was my very first off road ride, it sold me on this sport. I have never seen another bike there, but I’m sure that will change now that it’s part of the “X”. I’ll be up in that area in just over a week, hoping to ride the route and break in my camping gear.
As always. Another great video Brother. By the way. I bought a 2022 Benelli 502 x instead of the KTM. I couldn't pass it up. I gave only $2,500 for it. The guy was moving over seas and had to sell it ASAP. He told me if I could come and get it that night, I could have it for $2,500 cash. So I took a road trip to Indiana and bought it lol. Hope to see you out on the trail sometime. Be safe.
@@TheBeardedGrump I'm very impressed with it. I got to looking real close at it. Every bolt on it has a white mark. I looked it up and that's one of the requirement of Benelli is to triple check everything before it's sent out to be sold. Even though it's made in China. Benelli is over the final product and design of the Bike. Like I say. I'm very impressed with it. I have a Benelli over & under 12 ga. that was handed down to me by my Father. It was given to him by my Grandpa. My grandpa got it back in WWII from a person that he was staying with when he was over seas. They gave it to him because they liberated them and that's all they had to say thank you. To this day the gun looks as if it were made yesterday. Benelli is known for making great products and the bike is a true testament to that. Just with it had a little more power though lol.
I just take my wife with me we have done many BDR's and unknown offroad trips together. People say you cant or you should not ride aggressive offroad 2 up but we do it anyway never had a problem. We include the expert sections.
@@toml1446 around here when the leafs start changing colors there's a lot of people that go to the mountains to look at them. We call that leaf looker season lol
In my opinion this part of section 3 is the best part of the BDR-X that I rode. Final Episode coming soon. Thanks for watching.

Awesome! I'm glad you still get to get out and enjoy life! I plan to keep on keeping on and I hope you do the same. 👊
Super cool video series. Well done.

I definitely love her. She doesn't mind me going but sometimes it's hard to shake that guilty feeling. Thanks and thanks for watching 👊
One time doing the SM500 I was feeling the same way and I decided to go back home. I know exactly how you feel brother

That's awesome! My wife isn't interested in riding but if she was I would be down for riding some 2 up off road. Sounds like a fun challenge.
Did the Wyoming BDR complete and didn't miss wife a bit lol
I've been on a lot of moto trips and I usually don't either but couldn't shake the guilty feeling on this one.
Are the trails still there after the destruction from the hurricane?
I haven't been up that way since the storm but I've had a few comments on here saying everything around that area is ok.
Thanks and live your vids. I’m gonna plan to do some tiding up there then and check it out and keep the support coming for the area.
@TheBeardedGrump Thanks for the quick response.
It was my question too.
Love your videos by the way

You may have talked about it in the initial video but what tires did you run on you KTM for this trip?

did you say "leaf licker season"? and if so when is that?
I said leaf looker but leaf licker is probably more accurate 😂
