God, the VA for Taash deserves an award for that scream alone. It twists my heart and makes me cry every time I hear it. 🥺😭 So raw and gut-wrenching...
Next playthrough I'm considering stopping short on Taash's questline (up to the point where they figure out their own identity, but before Shathann is likely to be taken) to see if I can make it to the best ending without Shathann's death.
I kind of regret not taking Emmerich on more missions now that I've heard the zingers he's been tossing out, Lol. But on this particular quest, I had Harding with me and Taash, and they had already begun a romance, so it was them just flirting amidst the taunting by the Dragon King, which was pretty funny. I like seeing other classes since I was using the Rogue and just cartwheeling about, firing off arrows and setting traps (thanks to the saboteur options I upgraded on the level up). Having beaten the game, the hate is so overblown, the loudest more bigoted voices, many having not even played the game. But Caleb is correct. All you have to do to get a bigot to reveal themselves is get them talking and asking them questions. They all eventually crash out. I do have some legitimate criticisms of this game, gameplay wise mostly, but nothing that made me just hate the game or give it a 1 out of 10 score or something. I've been disappointed by some very well made games tgst have come out recently, I found Spiderman 2's story in its latter half pretty lazy and a rehash of what another 3D Spiderman game already did in the 2010's. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is a 6 or 7 out of 10 at best, but people love it, and I don't begrudge them for enjoying it.
I think what I hate the most is the lack of world state continuity and the severe reduction of player choice and consequence, which were cornerstone features since the first game's conception; frankly I don't see this game having even a fraction of the replayability and staying power of the previous games because of that. Other than that, my general disappointment stems from the fact that I just don't vibe with the characters and the dialogue like at all, although Emmrich and Manfred are kind of growing on me. I was also expecting more of a Dragon Age experience rather than, as BioWare themselves put it, their take on God Of War. It's annoying and counterproductive that the loudest voices against the game tend to be based on bigotry though because now it's hard to criticize the game for anything without people immediately dismissing you and assuming you just hate LGBT+ people. There are some other things I don't like about the game, but I'll stop myself before I end up writing an essay, and this channel is more of a positive space anyway.

I get where Shathann is coming from, but she is seriously flawed as a mother. She criticises Taash at every opportunity and is quite domineering. That can really mess a child up.
@@nightfrost1891Had it been handled and written better I would’ve agreed, look at how BioWare handled Dorian in the last game which his, “You tried to change me.” Line is any implication as to what he may have went through is more understandable at his lashing out towards his father. Here. They wrote Taash’s mom in a way where she came across as a mother trying to understand what her child is trying to say beyond the surface of just, “I’m Non-Binary and accept it.” Which it how it came across And Taash was handled like a character from a Young Adult rendition of Dragon Age.

Definitely one of the highlights.
This has been my comfort series!! I really hope you do another playthrough, even if it’s just on the side :) I’m deffo not ready for it to end. 😂😢
I love Shataan. What a great character.
I guess I'm in the minority on this stance, but I actually really liked Taash I thought they were actually really funny and I related to them a lot

i can't wait to see the next episode ! :c
hi Meg
Taash is the worst DAV character in my opinion. But I loved their mom.
Mom genuinely trying to be understanding and just ask genuine questions regarding her child and Taash is so rude about it.
Mom was great.
