Came here after inarizaki. Love the parallels. This is why karasuno doesn’t follow inarizaki’s motto. Because of their memories from this loss, they were able to win
I think their motto was more of like "who cares who we were or what we did yesterday? We don't need memories only the momentum." As much as I love it. It also has a downside obviously. Kageyama and Hinata both knew that even though speed is great but it isn't invincible as their last quick against Seijoh in S1 was blocked.
Kristin multifandom In japanese culture, teams that aren't capable of winning or no guts to challenge theirselves have this sort of statement "Let's make good memories even if we can't win." But in Inarizaki's case, winning is what they value more that's why they are the ultimate challenger. ✌️
@@madhatter4230 At the start of the tournament in S2, one of the players said to everyone that since Shiratorizawa would win anyways, they should just come and make good memories. Hinata challenged that and said he would beat everyone there.
I don’t think it was a floater, it was more of a softer tap than the spike serve. he did that because aoba johsai was expecting a spike serve and they backed up more to bracing for the impact of the serve but since he didn’t hit the ball as hard as they expected, the ball came more forward (closer to the net) causing them to be caught off guard and to move up and that throws their balance off sorry for going into a whole rant it’s just interesting to talk about lol
@Jac 4535 exactly and that's what makes haikyuu so special to me even though karasuno is the protagonist's team it's not absolute that they'll win all their matches.
@Jac 4535 yeah like the time where kuroko and kagami lost to aomine in the first season of KnB. That kind of happening's what makes sports anime even better.
Vince Daniel Kagami and Kuroko always won except for Their first match against Aomine but in Haikyuu , Karasuno didn’t win the National a single team , they got defeated all the time they went there ,, these were some spoilers from the manga , but they will soon be animated
@@saadatmithani5399 a defeat is still a defeat.🙄 I didn't mean to convey that KnB's loss is much more painful than haikyuu. What I'm tryin to say is that a loss in anime sports is essential for story and character development.
Vince Daniel that’s true , my point was that KNB was most of the time plot and the plot helped Seirin win almost all the time but that isn’t the case in Haikyuu
Imagine Karasuno actually won against Seijoh in season 1, they will or could get destroyed by Shiratorizawa. Hinata's old quick attack could get completely get shut down by Satori's blocking and Hinata will be frustrated and think what to do, Nishinoya and Daichi could have a lot more trouble to pick up Ushiwaka's spikes/serves than Season 3. I'm just speaking my mind, I don't think they will win one set against them. I'm glad that they grew from the lose from Seijoh and ended up going to Nationals. Tell me what you think if Karasuno went against Shiratorizawa in Season 1 instead of Seijoh.
Nah they would have lost. the whole point of the second season was showing how in order to win they were going to have to evolve, they just barely beat shira in season 3, they would have gotten destroyed had they faced them then
It would’ve been a little to early for them to win in the 1st season. Haikyuu is a show about the growth and development of a team and I felt that they still needed to develop their skills more in order to beat Shiratorizawa. So, Karasuno losing to Seijoh in the 1st season was quite reasonable as it showed that they still have a lot of room left for improvement...But it still saddens me that Seijoh lost in the 2nd season...I didn’t know whether to cry for Oikawa or cheer for Karasuno :(
Karasuno will be Overpowered by Shiratorizawa.. i think that its okay to lose on this match so that they can evolve and improved.. if that happens well maybe Karasuno will be shock to the Talented player named Ushijima
Shiratorizawa would've destroyed Karasuno if they went against them in the first season. Shiratorizawa was already a powerful team. Karasuno was, yes, but at the time they only had that weird quick attack to rely on, not to mention half of the starting lineup were first years, so they don't have that strong connection. Also, they didn't have the tricks to distract or surprise others and let's them slip in the weird attacks every now and then at the time, so Shiratorizawa would get used to it very easily--which, as Ukai said, is the weird quick's weakness. Most of their matches ended with close calls, going past the 25 (or 15) point mark, narrowly avoiding loss, and I think it's neat, for drama and showing their skills compared to the team they're against.
@Aniruddh Sharma みゆきしば and in the Aoba Josai practice match, or Nekoma's practice match, i cant remember, but Daichi saves the ball and hinata says "Captain"
I've just realized that Miya twins and Hinata also apologized to their respective captain, and Daichi and also Kita's reaction is the same. Inarizaki as a team is the most similar to Karasuno IMO.
Love how the scene in 2:01 is almost the same from the season 2 vs. Seijoh, but instead Hinata’s eyes are closed. He doesn’t score the point cuz he can’t see.
Everyone keeps talking about Inarizaki, but I looking at the differences between the two spikes Hinata did. The first time, his eyes were closed so he failed to see the other side. So in a sense it was his fault for not trusting himself to look at the different options he had. The second time he has his eyes open and is able to see the different scenarios to win, even anticipating Oikawa's block which lead to their victory. I love the development between these two games.
0:09 this is how i think seijoh lost the second time. i feel like they were so focused on beating shiratorizawa after losing to them that they weren’t totally focused on what was in front of them. and of course karasuno got way better but even then they didn’t destroy them. karasuno did a good job at always focusing on what was in front of them
all the last point on karasuno vs. aoba josai are all cinematic parallel 1. During practice game, the blockers could not even jump on hinata's spike, but oikawa was in a position where he could have save it but his reaction was late (probably shocked that he saw hinata looking at his direction), so karasuno get the point 2. During their first official game in season 1 Hinata's spike was blocked, but incase it wasn't oikawa seems ready to recieve it (he is at the same position just like during their practice game) 3. Their game on season 2, the last point is similar to the 2 above but hinata's spike aimed it at the finger, so it went over, had it not blocked/ glazed the finger, oikawa could have get it. (and their position are just like the other 2- hinata spiking on the left side and oikawa recieving it at the back) Their game just give me goosebumps
I personally think that Oikawa is the most interesting character and most complete player in the series. Reminds me of Sendoh in Slam Dunk.
