i assumed he banked the puck off the boards to garland. he had no one around hime and he wouldn't have missed by that much unless it was a planned play. shorty and ray dropped the ball there.

I had a good chuckle when Hronek got an assist on that goal. I get it but had so little to do with it 😂

I respect Makar fanboys but Quinn has been better wire to wire this year. Makar and I watch him a lot but he's been below Quinn 5on5 by a significant margin and gets a lot of his points through Nate, where as Quinn is the driving force.

NHL awards should be based on regular season AND playoff performance.
Hughes dancing around during regular season and golfing in May.....
doesn't trump Makar playing super hero in crucial games in June.

I think we need to get over the 10 overall pick. It is what it is but I think he can be a perfect middle 6 guy and who can fit well under toccket

Joshua is elevated to the top 6. Podz can take his place in the bottom 6. The finish will come because he got a great shot!

Makar has the Eastern Bias weirdly working for him because those guys will vote off reputation for a guy like him.
So even though he's not having a season that's close to his best, he will get votes because he's Cale Makar and he's the best dman in hockey regardless of how well he or anyone else is playing.

    Priority signings for the Canucks
    1. Philip Hronek EST AAV 8 mil
    2. Dakota Joshua EST AAV 3 mil
    3. Nikita Zadorov EST AAV 5 mil
Definitely need to sign Hronek and Joshua Zadorov we need to sign someone in free agency to replace him

    • @8r3nYT

I love these guys but some of these prices are ridiculous… Hronek max I’m giving is like 6.5-7m maybe and Zadarov around 3-4m… Joshua i wouldn’t mind going that high if that's what it costs to keep him. Zadorov is playing in third pairing and giving him 5 mil will look like another Myers deal long term probably. Hronek is boosted by Hughes and won’t do much when separated from him, however I will say that he is one of the best partners Hughes has had apart from like Tanev, who we could potentially sign in the summer.

I would trade hronek for a dman who can play big minutes in 2nd pairing with a 3rd 4th line forward. Resign zadarov and joshua. Bring back chris tanev in offseason. Cause he can also play with hughes for less money.

Playing in Western Canada will cost him some votes. Eastern bias is real.
