He’s so normal & actually gives genuine answers. So refreshing after watching McDavid & Matthews monotone repetition of hockey jargon

Im a diehard Oilers fan but i cant help but feel awkwardness whenever McDavid does an interview, always has that awkward-robot vibe hahaha the last interview was a little better though. like he was more talkative then usual. The same goes for Matthews.

@@venom77metallica that awkward photo mcdavid took with those old people years ago is basically the poster for hockey player personality.

Not even their fault honestly, they've probably been coached to give answers like that their whole lives. I feel like all the canadian team captains have this weird way of answering questions because of the pressure from teams and the media departments.

The Hughes brothers still look 18. Hopefully that means they're just starting to realize their potential, because they could be one of the greatest hockey families to play at the same time.

love that first bit by Quinn, he address him as his fathers name, instead of saying "dad took us etc" growing up an orphan, it was difficult, even small unnoticeable things like if the teacher says give this to your parents, instead of parents or guardians. it just reminded you that you were alone. Quinn is a top notch guy, just based off his always good intentions.

Having watched many NHL player interviews, these guys aren't super interesting interviews because of their personalities like everyone keeps saying. Us hardcore fans just eat anything up. Quinn seems like a kind, intelligent, humble guy, but in no way was this some sort of electric conversation. If it wasn't for Jeff and Elliott being personable, we'd have another cookie cutter response. You can almost always credit the reporter for a good interview of an athlete.
