Mcgrath was 33 years old and had been retired but was still riding at this pace! That’s a testament to just how good he was! It wouldn’t surprise me if he could make the main here in 2020! Awesome vid! Thanks professor!
Back in the day when riding wasnt easy. I had to walk my bike uphill in the snow. 2hrs to get to the track. Then id walk back home downhill in the snow.
This is almost hypnotic. Reed looks effortless, cool the way he rips a tear off on that big jump every time. TP awsome too. MX Gods make it look so easy.

Seeing Reed on that old YZ always makes me feel super nostalgic. Even though he rode for Yamaha a couple of years ago, it still wasn’t the same as 03-08 or however long it was he was with them in the early 2000’s. I’m going to St. Louis sx in January so I’m finally gonna get to see him in person hopefully.
This is prep for A1 2005, could be late December 2004, but definitely prep for A1 2005, very wet during that time which makes sense why all were at one track, I was there for the mudfest at A1, TP ran the exact same graphics and MC won a heat race.
I literally saw chad a few weeks before this race Lake Macquarie, NSW, Australia on a 450 and destroy the local field obviously. Was cranking the biggest whips off the centre jump which everyone is familiar with there is no small up ramp. Such a special rider.
I remember this footage or someone else the same day recorded all the way back in 04. I cant put where i saw it but it was the same track with the same riders maybe it was Donn Maeda over at Transworld. Anyway i love it!
TP' s right wrist was in a cast that day to. Thank for your track comment too. It was thrown together by one person, me and was the only rideable track prior to A1 because all so cal tracks were getting hit hard by rain..

Oh Yeah the good old prep for the 05 supercross season. To bad Travis was already hurt before the season started. All on 250 factory two strokes - Honestly what more could you ask for? Damn you FIM and AMA for ruining the two stroke racing at the highest level!

2005 was the best year, all top rider in twostrokes,the years after destroy motocross with the four stroke shit.
