I am in Nicaragua right now, I flew into Managua on 8/10/23 spent the night then drove down to San Juan del sur, felt perfectly safe and met a lot of great people.

My wife is Nicaraguan and we are building a house in Boaco. Her family is mostly there and she and her brothers have dairy/beef farms Southeast of Matagalpa. I have visited the country 5 times and always feel safe.

Great video Coffee Brother. Have to admit, Managua scares me. It's so hectic. However, I'm also intrigued. Next time we come down we're GOING to stay with Claudio. The idea of having a great place to stay after the plane ride rather than jumping in a taxi and driving for another 3 hours to get to our destination is so appealing. Too, Claudio seems like a great host.
Too, let him know we've had his coffee, Amanacer. We got it at Dale's Pues market in Popoyo. The owners there shared it with us and we loved it!
Thank You for this video. More great info and conversation than I think you realize.

So much great information in this video, especially the bit about solo female travelers. I'm hoping to spend 3 weeks in Nicaragua next year, spending a week in Granada, a week in or near Matagalpa and a week in Leon. I'm most excited to see the mountains in the north. The cooler weather sounds perfect for me 😊.

Great video :-) We are going to Nica in November for the first time, but we only have 25 days in Nica :-( ...and 3 days travel each way from Australia! Mostly interested in the north/rural areas but I speak no Spanish & my wife speaks only a few phrases, so need a guide/translater - can you provide someone or put us onto someone? Happy to cover all costs for the guide as it will be more effective for us with only 3 weeks to look around! Any suggestions or offers appreciated. Bryan.

I’ve read a lot of people online say you should be very careful in and around the Managua airport. Of course when you hear about mugging and carjacking at red lights, it’s not the most relaxing thought 😅. What are your thoughts? Any tips on safety?
