Low Tech Bench Hook Meets High Tech Engraving

The bench hook is as simple and low-tech as a woodworking accessory gets. It’s been around for centuries. But the bench hook remains relevant even if you mostly use power tools -- it is simple, cheap and effective (even if you aren't an expert sawyer).
Here I make a new bench hook to replace my chewed-up hook, and (just for fun) I use my highest-tech tool -- the Shaper Origin CNC router -- to engrave a ruler on the bench hook fence.
Once you see a bench hook you probably don't need a plan, but the video includes a cut list and plan (screen shot if you find those useful).
