This is the main criticism I have when it comes to former players being talk show hosts for any sport. I mean, you see this consistently with both Shaq and Chuck, too. Ex players will always baby and defend current players despite those players being in the wrong. They can never manage to come up with any solid defense but they feel like they have to defend players because they were once in their shoes. It creates a massive form of bias.

Completely and fundamentally misunderstands the aversion to the 'shut up and dribble' argument. No, we don't all want our athletes to be "politicians" or have "big opinions". What we want is for our athletes to be RELATABLE and UNDERSTANDING. To be able to appreciate the positions they are in that is bolstered by our continuous support of them. When you get older, you can't do the same things on the court you used to and this gets hard to accept. Most guys learn to accept it. Others, like Draymond just start lashing out. It's past time for him to go.
What draymond needs is to find his match in the league, so many people he hit would have whooped his ass if they were allowed to fight
@@amai-w8fthey are just better humans then Draymond
He was never held accountable cause the warriors were winning and people embraced this reckless behavior. There’s nothing wrong with playing tough and giving it your all but draymond has always gone out of his way to hurt people, and that’s just not respectable as a fan of basketball.
One conversation that needs to happen is how former players like JJ can have terribly biased takes when they get into media.
dude's always been biased towards his contemporaries. for how "smart" everyone says he is (which he is) there is that side of him where he'll almost always side with a player over any actual constructive/critical thinking
One other thing I don’t think was mentioned is that he’s a Klutch client. Rich Paul’s probably back there pulling some strings.
Lazy take
@@jnydfs6003 But is it wrong? You gonna say agents *don't* have undue sway with the league? I think they do, and it never gets mentioned.
@@Trollificusv2 hold that grown ass man accountable for HIS actions Rich Paul aint in his ear telling him to do all these antics.
@@jnydfs6003 Fair enough, but I think the point was Rich Paul having influence with the league (and probably GMs), not callin' shots for Dray.

Wow that's amazing! That is high praise thank you
Can you imagine if he did any of that to Ron Artest? The league wouldn't have to suspend him cause he would be in a funeral home.
He literally did this with him and world peace didn’t really do anything. (Which I respect him for fwiw but what a strange post)
@@wephilips6651Ron Artest went through a transition from his violently impulsive ways later in his career. Had they met up before that change in demeanor Green would’ve been folded up and tossed in the nearest trash receptacle.

And all the people in the congregation said Amen

Sorta like how domestic violence against men is buried huh?
And even LAUGHED AT.

Draymond Green has single handedly cost warriors at least 3 championships.
Ong Steph should be a 7 time champ by now
That’s a stretch but you have a point
@@nanaeb7387i kinda see it as it happened, but butterfly effect probably not. His suspension was a help for the Cavs comeback in 2016 and he got KD to leave which could have led the warriors to another 2 rings. However, if he didn’t cost us 2016 there’s no way KD would come here after the warriors win the finals, so idk.
its so funny how klay leaves after not wanting to pay him, but paid dray for his antics, now the splash bros are over and draymond gets to flex that he won lol
The amount of excuses he gets and all the people saying he "needs help" is crazy. Zero accountability
The idea that because Draymond has a podcast that less than 5% of the population listens to means people aren’t sick of him is laughable. That person should genuinely feel ashamed they made that comment. Every time an athlete speaks on anything outside their sport, the shut up and dribble crowd catches a W. Cause these people can’t make coherent points. Even the ones who don’t have CTE lmao
Hate that the media tried pushing the narrative that Draymond needs help...the dude is a bully. He doesn't need counseling, he needs a huge suspension. Make his pockets hurt
Egotistical and Narcissistic bad behavior doesn't mean dude needs some "help".
Draymond is just a bad person.
Draymond is clearly a narcissist. Watch the mental gymnastics he does to avoid taking responsibility, expressing shame, or saying sorry.

Draymond Green, the warriors and Steve Kerr are everything that’s wrong with the NBA today.
Falling on the ground after taking a contested shot in professional basketball; unexplainable
"Dad why are you pulling a man's pants down from underneath him?"
"Son, let me explain"
Right as i was binging some old videos, here is a new one
Dreymond literally ran off a prime KD & a prime Jordan Poole lmaooo . Both players are literally gone because of him lmfaoooo
And he's a scrub
Biggest Crash Out in NBA History
Draymond isnt really that good, but hes an enforcer everyone knows could end people career from eye pops, knocking you down and landing on a joint, jumping off your chest, etc.
I'm so sick of him. I don't like the Warriors anymore because they shield him.
This is Emmy worthy content.
i also hate the narrative that just bc you need therapy that means ur crazy. everyone at different points in life might need therapy
God, that snippet with Colin Cowherd talking about what we want our athletes to be at 12:27 is so perfect. That does not at all require athletes to be a politician or have big opinions. All it requires of them is to be decent fucking human beings for christ's sake, lol.

Klutch clients have a history of being protected from accountability. It's a huge conflict of interest within the league which traces its roots back to the corrupted cheater LeBron James.
That's crazy. Somehow you decided to inject LeBron's meat into your mouth when this has nothing to do with him
The roots are much older than LBJ. He is just a manifestation of certain recurring....uh, _"challenges"._

If draymond does anything else the nba should get rid of technical fouls, flagrant fouls and bring back early 90s or early 2000s nba rules
If I were playing against him I would be doing everything I could to bring the big baby out of him.
It wouldn't be that difficult to do.
you don't have to be crazy to get counseling.. being emotionally uncontrollable is generally enough. problem is there are alot of nba fans who praise him for being that way and overlook these unsportsmanlike actions and those are the ppl that fuel his ego and drive him to be an entertainer over an athelete.
The media needs to stop coudling* Draymond or he'll never grow up
My respect for Steve Kerr declines every time I hear him speak these last couple of years.
I don't have that problem with Cowherd. (not because I like him, either)
Draymond n steve kerr cried together 😂
A video like this is long overdue. Draymond is probably the most protected player I have ever seen for his antics and yet he's not even good.
fun fact: the only reason why Green chose to be a basketball player instead of an MMA fighter is because they made it illegal to punch people in the nuts
Draymond Green is the greatest wrestler in NBA history
Wrestler actually try *not* to hurt you.. 😂
I’m glad someone else agrees with me on the annoyance of this man. He’s on the way out, and like any other idiot that is losing his touch, he has to get nasty and outrageous. Any other point in history we would turn away and he would fade into obscurity. Look at Albert Belle. Jeff George. Vontaze Burfect. Richie Incognito. Instead Draymond just gets this inexplicable pass.
The guy is calculating and does these things to make himself relevant and stay in the algorithms that run our lives. Other people are figuring it out as well. Just ask Kat Williams. Frankly, I’m just bored of this guy, just like I have been bored of the NBA for years.
His story was PR. Makes him look good for thinking about retirement and makes the Commish look good for talking him out of it. He just had to verbalize it to get back on the court.
As if leaving $75 million on the table by retiring was really a possibility. What a bunch of suckers.
