Tim Duncan has 5 chips, 3 fmvps, 2 mvps, was 5-1 in the finals and never gets brought up. Bill Russell won 11 championships (8 in a row), 5 mvps, and couldn't win any fmvps or dpoy's because the awards didn't even exist. He should really be the "goat" if we are basing it off championships. People say Wilt is the "goat" and he only has 2 championships, but they just loved watching him play. The "goat" is all based on opinion and can be whoever YOU want it to be.
I love how people forget that Kobe took the lakers to 3 straight finals without Shaq in 08, 09, and 10. Winning back to back championships. From 2005-2007 the lakers roster was the weakest roster of all time but Kobe was dominating the NBA statistically and he was clearly the best player in the world from 2002 - 2011.
People forget Kobe was and still is the only player in league history to beat multiple 50 win teams in that 3 year span in the most difficult defensive era in league history. Wit a weaker roster than lebrons cavs.
Draymond getting suspended was 100% about when he SHOULDVE automatically suspended against okc for accumulation of flagrant foul points when he kicked Stephen Adams in the nuts in the WCF that year where he got called for a flagrant 2 which was later downgraded by the league the next day to a flagrant 1. This was in the spirit of doing him a HUGE favor and not allowing it to affect the series outcome. A series in which they ended up DOWN 3-1. Doing what he did to Lebron was a questionable flagrant 1 foul but the gift he got against okc is never talked about when they talk about this

Respectfully Draymond said that. Y’all just don’t know how to listen.
@tyreek.6815 Yeah Draymond was being so disrespectful to Shaq.
He’s comparing corporate America to guys making 9 figure contracts lmao
No he’s not. You’re taking what he said out of context to be mad. Y’all are so weird man
@@tyreek.6815 blow more bubbles on it
@@tyreek.6815he literally said people don’t get fined like this in normal jobs lmao.
@tyreek.6815 Ikr, Draymond is an idiot.
@@KMT15 ya he's right. He was saying that there's no other job where employees get thousands of dollars taken out of their check for violating stupid rules. Players get fined for every little from wearing different color shoes to arguing with refs to flopping. His point is that giving a tech, suspending a player, or kicking them out of a game is enough of a punishment, the league doesn't also need fine them thousands of dollars- they do it just cause they can. And if you don't think there's people in corporate America making 9 figures then u clearly don't know what ur talking about.
I'm glad I watched this Big Podcast with Shaq hosting Draymond because I didn't like him until this. Draymond is real! 💯
Love it Dray!!! Stand on business bro!
Look the size difference on the couch😂Draymond look like barbecue chicken talking bout “we would’ve had a chance”
It would’ve been a great west rivalry though. These days, big men weren’t Shaq.
@@nsslots go look at top 50 shaq plays.. the way he played basketball he is unquestionably the most dominant ever. He dunked on everybody. Every center from 92 til he stopped playing basketball dude was a freak of nature. I think shaq and kobe lakers beat them in 7 game series personally
In today’s basketball, Shaq would’ve been called for many times for offensive fouls. The league is now weak and centers are required to drain 3s.
Shaq is my favorite center of all time though.
@@uncfishshaq in the paint is unguardable the moment. He has to be on the perimeter he’s cooked
I usually block “hating” forms of criticism, so I don’t watch Stephen A, Skip Bayless, etc.
But I can make an exception for HOFers like Shaq and Dray. Shaq said it best: “If you’re greater, you can’t be a hater”.
This was a great episode. Great conversation
I love Draymond's analysis of the game.
Agree! Such a unique player
This was a very solid segment Shaq, with you, Draymond and Team.
Opinion
Man the Warriors would’ve had Shaq in all kinds of pick and roll action 😂
They would have shaqs head spinning with all the screens. People don’t understand how many open shots the warriors would get. Especially with defense back then where they designed their defense on letting people shoot 3s
True but they would be in serious foul trouble and they haven't even defended kobe yet
@@fatpatlives1998 kobe wouldn’t be the focal point to stop as long as you turn shaq to a passer you good
Shaq would literally catch the pass and turn one way and dunk / tireout / draw foul on every possession.
If giannis is any indication of strong man bully ball, people are underestimating shaq
Who stopping Steph and KD. I don't even think Draymond picked the best championship team in this scenario. I think he picked the first championship team which wasn't as good as the KD led Warriors
Draymond spitting facts about the 2016 finals but no one's ready for that conversation
Draymond green has always been my favorite player , he plays the game like old times in 80s and90s hard hat real game no BS
Great interview
0:44 nah perfect plan indeed 😂😂
i definitely get draymonds point on why ppl don’t mention kobe BUT fact of the matter is kobe was definitely the best from 2005-2011 imo he just didnt have the help especially playing in that stacked west. We saw what happened when gasol cameZ
Kobe wasn’t the best from 05. Scoring a thousand points doesn’t make you the best.!07-10 he was the best because he was a true assassin. Mentally and skill wise
@@Brown_Mental_Musings If me and you on the court and we play 1v1 how do other determine who is better!??? By who scores the most. If im consistently beating everyone in 1v1s im obviously the best player
@@LoneWolf22_and that’s the problem. Lol it’s a 5 on 5 game and Kobe’s team consistently lost in 05, 06, and 07.
@@Brown_Mental_Musings with no SUPPORTING CAST. All he could do was score. All he had to pass the ball to was Lamar odom. Have you ever really hooped recreationally??? Cause ive been on teams where we are stacked and team where i was the legit best player on my team with scrubs & We lost alot of those times cause i was the only one capable of scoring enough points
Kobe has 5 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 , Lebron has 4 🏆🏆🏆🏆and people leave Kobe out of the G.O.A.T🐐debate. Never got that. .
Same reason pippen not in the convo with 6 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
More Nuance than just that. You don't just count one's rings and say oh he is worthy of the goat. There are players you haven't heard of that got more than Kobe. And you're not making a case for them.
Shaq was the finals mvp 3 times on the Lakers he was the dominant best player. Other players in the goat convo didn't have another player better than them dominate as the best player. Also the career stats and accolades added in.
Bill Russell has 11 so it's hard to only use chips but Kobe is one of the GOATS!
5 from this 3 is from shaq tho ... bron got 4 finals mvp, kobe got 2
robert horry has 7 is he in the goat convo?
GREAT EPISODE, Love Draymond INTELLECT 💯
“I hope I gave him a sound bite bc it’s dying”😂😂😂😂
I love how people forget that Kobe took the lakers to 3 straight finals without Shaq in 08, 09, and 10. Winning back to back championships. From 2005-2007 the lakers roster was the weakest roster of all time but Kobe was dominating the NBA statistically and he was clearly the best player in the world from 2002 - 2011.
People forget Kobe was and still is the only player in league history to beat multiple 50 win teams in that 3 year span in the most difficult defensive era in league history. Wit a weaker roster than lebrons cavs.
Love Or Hate Him, YOU GOTTA RESPECT Draymond! #23
Doing what he did to Lebron was a questionable flagrant 1 foul but the gift he got against okc is never talked about when they talk about this
Great interview! 🔥💯
Just finished. Great interview!
I would feed Shaq all day. He’s dropping an easy 50 on draymond. A focused shaq and Kobe on his mamba mentality are going to will an ass beating
Easy 50.
50 with disrespect on it

Dray did not put MJ on his mount Rushmore is WILD!😮
No shock there, he paid by Clutch to push Bron...
He really done with the 90s😂😂
Came here to say this haha that's crazy
Klutch sports puppet
There is not a NBA Mount Rushmore without Jordan. Those Klutch checks have ruined the NBA for a long time to come !!
If draymond never got suspended in the finals warriors win in 5
if Kyrie didn't blow his knee into shards and Kevin love didn't separate his shoulder the previous year would've been a sweep 🤭🥱
