    Cool. I like that it's so low power...perfect for certain applications like small 1/2 long cabinet hardware screws. Also, in a pinch you can use a bar of soap to lubricate screw threads to make it go in easier.

      How long did the Ryobi one last? I've never used the Ryobi I can't see this one being any worse. I really like it. They make more then one version of these Skill ones. This one is more expensive I believe since it twist where as some of them don't. I'd love to hear how well it holds up when you get it since it sounds like you will be using it daily. Let me know what you think in comparison to the Ryobi.

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't use it as much anymore. I'd say about 10-15 times a year when I'm in the house and I need to get a screw driver so not a lot. In terms of the battery, I charged it after this video and 2 weeks ago when I went to use the screw driver, the battery died on me and I had to charge it again. So I've been using it on and off for 2 years and only charged the batter one time. Unfortunately I can't say if the batter last 50 minutes on a charge. There have been things I could have used it for, but since I already had my impact drive in my hand, I just use it. My Makita XDT15 has a high and low setting and the low setting is pretty much perfect for everything delicate so it doesn't get stripped out. If I only had my bigger Makita's I would use the Skil more as those ones will strip out delicate screws easily. I'd still buy it again for $25 since it has come in handy when I needed it, but its defiantly not necessary for what I do any way in my opinion now.

    • @tgltoday2717

      I just tried it and I will say it did make it through a 2x4 but I wouldn't recommend doing it unless your in a pinch. Defiantly don't buy this expecting to drill holes with it. I had to back it out about half way through and then start again in order to make the hole. My battery isn't fully charged so that may have played into it as well but it did stall half way through.

It's a lot cheaper and more responsible to replace a rechargeable battery every 5 years then to put new batteries in every month or so. I have the older model Skiltwist and replacing the battery was simply a matter of soldering to connectors. No big deal and it cost me about eight bucks.
