Thanks for the video! I found with my electrical error light it was the battery cable being loose. Cleaned terminals and re tightened them. That fixed it.

My Duster Diesel 2014 110 ps done 115000 km.no issues but both engine warning signs always on.checked in service center scan and they said there's no visible fault.. Checked electric also could not find anything wrong. No problems in driving and pick up. Can you please suggest.. I'm in Chennai City
The MIL lamp is linked to emissions of the vehicle. If MIL is "on" then it indicates an emission related fault has occurred and the electronic control unit is not able to guarantee compliance to emission norms as defined by the emission legislation the vehicle is compliant to. A diagnostic trouble code is registered and stored in the ECU memory. This can be read by any scan tool. So first clue to what could be the problem is to know the DTC code. The other reason why it is not possible to fix may be due to the nature of the problem. It could be a non plausible condition type error. You can get a Bluetooth OBD dongle and connect to the OBD port to your car and use an app to read the DTC's which are stored. Once we know the code we can try to diagnose under what conditions such faults are registered.
@@adonaiinnovations3955hey there, thanks for the prompt responses, really getting some good insight here, I own a Nissan terrano diesel 2014 110 ps, around 54000 km, had check engine light for the rail pressure sensor but the car was running perfectly, got a service done recently 1 month ago where the throttle body was cleaned and regular preventive maintenance was done, since then used the car for around 2.5k kms after the service and the check engine light has popped up once again, the car has been running beautifully and as usual the check engine light is just an eyesore, would it be possible to disconnect the battery and reconnect for the check engine light to go off, I would like to try that before going back and forth to the garage, atleast as a temporary fix, thanks :)
Disconnecting battery will not help in making the MIL/Engine check lamp to be off. Only way is to find the source of the problem. Engine control software is really complex and due to wear and ageing of sensors there could be intermittent problems detected. If MIL is on then your vehicle is most likelypolluting more. If rail pressure sensor is faulty it will definitely turn on MIL lamp as emmisions can't be controlled by the engine ECU. If you get an OBD dongle then with a free app you can read fault and also clear the fault. If the problem does not persist then it will not appear again but if it again occurs you will know the what is faulty
@@adonaiinnovations3955 thank you so so much for your reply, I just tried the battery disconnecting earlier today before your reply and ur right, it does not work. The check engine light only seems to come on when I am on the highway running speeds of around 150, I have deleted the code in the past and driven around the city for more than 3 to 4 weeks where the check engine light did not come on since I was rarely going above 70-80 at best. But on the highway after a good couple of hours of driving the check engine light did come on.
My electronic fault light comes on after driving a few minutes..engine also becomes hesitant...switched off and restarted car cleared the fault until next cold start..at a guess i changed spark plugs and coils and cleaned sensors..now its £85 for a diagnostic check from local garage...got no other choice.

I started cleaning sensors..second one cleared the fault..it was the air flow sensor..build up of carbon inside throttle body..cleaned off carbon and sprayed inside of sensor with quick dissolving spray de greaser.

Getting an OBD dongle will help you better understand where the problem is coming from and you can also clear the fault temporarily. If the problem does not occur again then it's fine otherwise MIl will light up again. Cost depends on the type of problem. If it's only a sensor or acuator fault then you can check the price of these sensors to get an estimate
My electric fault warning lit up once when I was idling after cold start. Car was on 2wd mode for some reason on the mid screen, and my phone connected via data cable. Turned off the engine ,then started again ,awd mode selected,after that drove 20 kms , no warning lights, but traction light once lit up . What might the cause be ? By any chance Can static electricity from data cable cause this?
Some faults can momentarily happen and can by itself disappear. This can happen due to many reasons like loose electrical connections or some software defects etc. These momentary faults will not be cleared immediately from the memory since this fault can appear again. So the electronic control unit waits for 3 or more driving cycles where the fault should not be detected before it clears the fault from its memory. If you see our video what we are doing in the end is basically simulating many driving cycles by turning on the ignition and turning off multiple times before the fault which we fixed by soldering the wires were cleared from the electronic control unit memory.

I have a Nissan Terrano 2014 which has clocked 34000 km. The problem is that at times when I climb hills the red "Stop Engine" light illuminates. Other than this NO warning light appears. {all the warning lights are functional}. Now if I switch off the engine and again start then it goes off after running for a few yards. This happens whenever I drive uphill. There is no starting problem or loss in power or black smoke. What may be the problem??

Since if the lamp itself is faulty then the lamp won't turn on when ignition is turned on. All other warning lamps also do this. The causes of a electrical and electronic fault can be many. As explained in the video, it can come from faults from sensors or the electronic control unit or from the actuators or from wires connecting these together or from communication buses which connect different Electronic control units. Here we try go give a common cause of how a fault could come and how we fix it. A more detailed analysis would require a tester tool which can tell the particular fault and also can clear the fault memory once the problem has been fixed

Here it is boost pressure sensor. But it can be any sensor, ECU or actuator or communication line fault.

Nothing to bother about since they are cleared automatically in few driving cycles by itself. It's might have been just an intermittent fault.

You can get an obd dongle and use an app like torque to check which fault is getting detected while climbing up hill

It will be same for petrol. MIL lamp reports emission related faults and the other lamp shows electrical or electronic fault
